"The what?!" Alice tried to contain herself but it sprang out like a little giggle that turned into a full on laugh. "Im sorry Im sorry it shouldn't be funny but that rat bastard deserved it." Clearing her throat Alice spoke again. "Humm well the Succbi in question had blonde hair and nasty claws. So what did she look like after the change did it improve her appearance at all?"

Rikke motioned over her breast and much beyond just to show off the cleavage DeGravil had "And yes... she was Reginalds favorite... almost made me feel sorry for the bastard." the heroine smirked lightly "Almost... but no he had black hair and some demonic features. You sure you didn't see him?" the rogue paused "Well he's probably dead by now... poor girl... thing likely outlived her use..." 'OR~ she's the vessel!'

Rikke froze up at the idea "Alice... do we know who's leading the demons now? Is it still Reginald?"

"Ahh no the Demons are led by a Demonic woman. Did you say Reginald? Isn't he dead?" Alice was looking at Rikke concern on her face. Was their enemy one they had already fought against?.

Rikke paused looking at Alice letting the girl put two and two together "I was to be possesed by a demon, Alice. After I resisted, she likely needed a new host..." the girl sighed sadly "like DeGravil..."

It was the only reasonable explanation to all of these events. DeGravil was completely broken when Rikke... relieved her. It would be childs play for a demon to take control of the body "Shit..."

The weight of situation was begining to fall on Rikke when she heard Jess call out "LUNCH!" The girls streamed in and looked over the stew some still questioned its contents but Alice bravest of all the Venus Girls took a big helping and took a bite. A few moments passed as she chewed and everyone was on edge waiting for the girls verdict......... "Its good but needs salt!" A sigh of relief filled the room as bowls and diffrent sized spoons where passed around.

Hopefully Alices taste buds could not tell a lie. Rikke took a decent serving herself and well... it wasn't the best meal she had, but with her absolutely famished it was not too bad. Rikke quickly cleared her plate and grabbed another serving, thankfully Jess and Kat used their limited resources to great effect.

With only the girls around, soon lighthearted gossip would fill room everything from Rhea, to the warg boys... and boy did the heroine struggle not to bring up any lewd topics, honestly it was almost unbearable, but she managed. Afterall, such topics have a place and time... it was not during lunch.

"So Alice I hear that Matt fellow has caught your eye humm?" Alice blushed and looked at Erika. "Who told ya that it was supposed to be a secret!" Erika just giggled and simply stated "A little birdy told me." Alice's eyes locked right onto Naomi who was trying to hide behind Cassandra to little avail. "Cassandra spoke next. "I thought you and that sniper fellow had a fling Alice?" Alice sighed before replying. "Well we did but he was only interested in one thing and honestly how can you build a relationship solely on that." Several of the other girls murmered their consent on that statement but Jess spoke up next. "Well its not a bad place to start right Rikke?" Nine pairs of eyes looked at Rikke to respond which was unfortunate as she had a mouth full of stew.

Rikke paused a moment as all the girls looked to her... for an opinion on Matt no less. Honestly that one spoonful bite was never this hard to swallow... a small giggle by a certain someone rang out through the back of Rikkes mind "Well uhm... he definedly looks promising. I hear he's also the perfect gentleman." 'I don't recall him being particullary gentle...' fixed her hair likely to try and hide her starting blush "I say go for it Alice, he might surprise you... where is he stationed at?"

"Oh I think the northeast sector watching over the wounded." Alice had a dreamy look to her face but before long the conversation moved on. "Did you hear Selina is pregnant?." "Really?" You think thats surprising have you seen the little bulge in Rhea's armor?" "Do you think she is to?"

'Noted.' 'Why?' 'Well maybe we'll want to put in a good word for Alice with him...' it wasn't like the idea was foreign afterall, both of the sides were the heroine afterall. Still she couldn't help but blush at the thought of HOW she was going to put in 'the good word'.

"Aw~ can we expect a few more little Kitsunes skimpering around then?" Rikke smiled warmly "I wonder if they have cute little fox tails and fox ears from birth" she giggled warmly "You think Rhea is pregnant too?... what is that family doing in those chambers..." the rogue snickered warmly.

Naomi spoke up next. "Nah they usually manifest those at puberty to hide their nature from the non kitsune parent. But sense Rhea is openly a kitsune she probably will teach her young ones right off the bat." The meal continued awhile before each girl started cleaning up and packing things away. It looked like they would be on the move again soon.

"D'aw~~ that's going to be so~ cute" Rikke giggled warmly, still seemed their little break was about done.... "Oh by the way girls, did you visit the old chapel nearby? It's quite a sight... maybe we could drop by there, before we all set out" if Rikke loved it there, chances were the girls would enjoy the sight aswell... afterall they were heading into a run down menagerie... or perhaps a wild, overgrown and beautiful menagerie... still whatever lied in store, would have to wait after the girls finished up cleaning up.

"Sure Rikke we can swing by there on our way to the menagerie." Rikke and company moved on leading them to the ruined chapel and its fountain. "Star God square.." Janet looked about her eyes lost in memory. "I think it looks better than the last time I was here. Maybe I can use my influence to keep it this way humm." It was beautiful in a fallen civilization way. But after the ooohs ad ahhhs where completed the group moved on intent on reaching their lines before nightfall. Their travel was mostly uninterrupted a few lust zombies made an appearance but where quickly dealt with and it wasn't long before the overgrown menagerie came into view. Old wrought iron fencing was choked with a tangle of vines and what few trees where present had over grown their bounds. It seemed huge and it was the only way threw to the check point they where after. A skeleton of some large animal lay at the entrance its skull was long and wide with big peg like teeth and didn't make any of the girls feel great about their decision.

Rikke took note of her companions distress and decided to clear up the air a little bit "Wow~ It'll probably be beautiful inside. Nature running rampant, I bet we'll see all kind of beautiful birds and critters inside." all the girls rolled their eyes to the skull in question once more, making Rikke step right infront of it "And if we do run into some predators just as well. As if some animals stand a chance against us." the rogue smiled innocently "Come on~ I haven't been to a menagerie since my youth! Oh~ exciting." it was true, Rikke felt a rather bothersome low amount of fear entering the place. Hopefully she won't run into any trouble inside...

Thankfully the gate was wide open and allowed the girls to enter. After passing the large skeleton Rikke noted the path was fairly over grown with tufts of grass breaking their way through the once cobbled walkway. Immediately she saw a large enclosure sunk into the ground with rocks and a small cave. Numerous feline skeletons lay scattered about having starved to death. A single tree had fallen over at some point into the lion pit and Rikke could see claw marks. Well maybe most of the Lions had starved to death. Keeping her eyes open Rikke also noticed an old building its doors wide open but dark inside an old brass sign lying face down on the path where it had fallen from the door.

"Well there goes the corrupt feline theory..." Rikke eyed the feline skeletons kicking one of the skulls into the grass. "Come on, the drudging through the grass may be dangerous. Let's check the building..." with that Rikke would approach the run down building and inspect the brass sign. Cleaning it to the best of her abilities.

Administration and Research offices.

It was simply stated and the tarnished bronze plate held no other secretes. Dropping the the name plate back into the dirt Rikke made her way to the door and peaked in. It seemed to be a very open floor with desks and shelves lining the wall a small office seemed to be in the back. Many of the books still lay on the shelves with only a few haven fallen to the floor some paper work covered the desks but it was impossible to tell what it was from her location.

Meanwhile the girls had fanned out a bit checking the immediate area out. "Poor kitties." It was Kat speaking as she eyed the skulls and bones but then her eyes fell on the claw marks on the fallen tree and nearly panicked rushing her way to Rikke. "Rikke theirs a male lion on the loose. I can smell him."

'Smell him?' Rikke turned to Kat... actually, the girl never thought about it, but why exactly was she here? She was hardly a warrior. Still, she was well protected to say the least "You heard her girls. You see some odd brush movements give everyone a shoutout." the girl smirked lightly "The poor kitty doesn't stand a chance against us." with that the girls would proceed through the building. They weren't here to explore, but to pass by as quickly and cleanly as possible.

"Good I don't want to carry any more kittens for a long while. Ill go tell Erika so she knows." With that Kat ran off to where Erika stood on watch and began to speak quietly to each other.

Rikke looked around the place. There didn't seem anything of note here... just out of pure curiousity the girl approached the papers and tried to make out whatever she could. Whatever the case may be, Rikke would turn back to the girls "Alright! Stay together! Whatever prowls around here has our scent the moment we entered. Noone wanders off alone... let's get those blades ready girls, we've got some yard work to do." she smiled warmly and would proceed to her gang and through the grass. It seemed to be the only way... except the cave. But that was out of the question.
