"Humm I think wasps and bees don't sleep but Im not sure Rikke." Rikke simply nodded and put her plan into action setting up watches and making Kat comfortable as she could. Though the cat girl blushed at all the attention she didn't complain though all the girls started having a rumble in their stomach.

While getting fed would've been nice. It wasn't much of an option, scrounging the menagerie at night was just begging for trouble, not to mention anything of substance would be warped... except maybe some berries.

Still the question of warmth had to be answered "Hmm... I'm worried. What if the demons will send scouts to check up on the checkpoint. Seeing a trail of smoke nearby would be quite the prize." the girl looked around through the girls "Perhaps let's check that camp out afterall. Gotta make sure if it died out recently or not..."

As the girls huddled together sharing warmth Jess followed Rikke out and to the checkpoint. Sneaking up the the camp she found that some of the scavengers of the area had started tearing at the corpses of the bees. Still no demons where present likely those bodies where carried away to what ever fate the wasps had in store for them. "It looks all clear Rikke maybe we should just move on threw and get to our lines?"

"Let's check the blood, if it's a day old we should be able to tell... if it's all dried up it's safe to start up a proper fire" the heroine smiled at her companion "And no~ Kat needs her rest. And a good nights sleep will do everyone good, do you really want to advance forward during the night." Rikke smirked lightly at her companion.

Scare away or avoid the scavengers and check the bloodstain.
Either way head back to camp after the investigation... unless something catches Rikkes/Jessicas eye

Scaring away the scavengers was easy enough. Leaving the safety of their cover they quick chucked rubble at the beasts and they scattered. Finding on of the corpses Rikke checked to see if the goo was all dried up and with the exception of the recently opened parts that had started to ooze out it was bone dry. It looks like these things had been dead for awhile well at lest sense this morning.

Well Rikke sure was no expert in such situations, so she turned to Jessica "What do you think. What's the time of death, detective Jess?" the heroine snickered warmly as she stepped back from the corpse.

Well they had their little check, it seemed to be safe to start up a fire. Best to return to the camp and inform the girls, time to rest up before the bigger fights.

Back at camp everyone looked a little disgruntled but empty bellies can do that to the best of people. Still the girls got a little fire going shedding some light and a little warmth amongst the girls. As Rikke sat she could see Erika leaning against Cassandra and Naomi talking with Kat. Alice had volunteered for first watch and as such was standing just out of sigh of the light in the darkness. Sylph had commandeered the basin from earlier using it as her sleeping bag. Willow stood nexts to Rikke panting and yawning while Jess poked at the fire.

Rikke sat down near Jessica with Willow close on her tail "Oh~ I wish we had something to eat..." the girl turned to Willow a smiled warmly "Well then lil guy time to take one for the team, I heard good things about hot dogs." the pup yelped lightly and barked at the heroine. Rikke giggled warmly and kissed the pup on it's forehead. She was just joking.

"Shame most of the meat around here is warped... still one day without dinner should be alright" Rikke looked up to Jessica. Unless Jessica had something to add Rikke would go ask Kat and Nayomi how are they doing.

Willow whined a little upset at the dinner remark but all was forgiven when Rikke kissed him on the nose. Still Jess looked over at Rikke and rested her head on the heroines shoulder. "Yeah.. though I could give all the girls protein injections." Jess giggled to herself about that letting Rikke do what she would with the comment.

Rikke leaned her head against her companion "Perv~... you know we could go 'look around' just the two of us." the rogue playfully ran her fingers through the succubus thigh, before giggling warmly and turning to Jessica. Hopeful the rest of the girls won't mind, as Rikke leaned in for a kiss. Whether it was light or deep was up to Jessica.

While the girl wouldn't be bothered to allow her actions to escalate, out of respect for the rest of her group she'd refrain from anything else.

"We could but I think we should stick together who knows what is out there." Jess returned her kiss deeply letting her tongue slip between the girls lips. "Besides your not going anywhere till we spend some time together just being us." Jess scooted closer and wrapped an arm around Rikke. "Always off on an adventure just sit with me for a bit tonight."

It was a fairly warm night, only made cozier by the small bonfire the girls had going. Well looked like Rikke wasn't going to ask around camp afterall... the girl eagerly returned the kiss smiling in between as they placed their heads together, looking each other in the eye. Icy blue and bright red, but so very alike.

"Mind if I stay with you longer than just a bit?" Rikke smiled warmly at her companion allowing another easy kiss on her. Hopefully Jessica had some decence because Rikke would allow the girl to do anything she pleased...

Jess wrapped her arm around Rikke holding her tight and sharing body heat to fend of the chill. Willow all to happy with this set up soon hopped up on the girls laps and curled right up but not before dragging Sylph in her bowl closer to the girls.

Rikke giggled warmly at the little family she had and gently leaned her head on Jessicas shoulder, gently stroking Willow "You know... I wonder. Will we still get that reward for that blasted badge..." the heroine snickered gently, it was almost like a running gag by now. Honestly Rikke didn't expect to see the promised riches anymore.

She looked over to Jessica and smiled warmly "Those golden statues in the rebuilt temple of Venus, won't build themselves right?" overall she was more than happy to just share some time with her company. The adventures could wait.

"I don't think Venus will have to worry about that at lest in Endus. After all the high priestess is open about her faith it might just find a revival here after all the girls behind us all converted. Heck even Rhea called on her help a few times though she denied it if asked." Jess looked over at Rikke and kissed her forehead. "Ill make sure they pay us after all the only reason they have a city is because of us."

"Winter is coming. Unless we get some fluffy armor, we may have to spend some time dormant." Rikke looked to Jessica "The fields are beautiful during winter, white snow as far as you can see. Most of the wild animal are asleep... but all the ancient crypts and buried treasure remain." Rikke gently stirred the fire "I don't know what we should do..." she looked to Sylphie, briefly "After this mess is cleared, do we move on or rest up for a while... could we even do that."

"We can do what ever we want. If that involves wintering in the city or pressing our luck in dungeons then we will do it together." Jess caught Rikke's glance at Sylph before continuing on. "Your worried about her right? I can tell after all we are still connected." Jess traced her hand across the black vine and red rose tattoo she had given her lover.

Rikke snickered lightly "Cheater~" the heroine turned her gaze to the puddle of ooze "I may have grown a little attached to her... I know it's stupid, but she's like a little girl of our own." the heroine snuggled up to her companion and giggled silently "Imagine our adventure group a puppy, a succubus, a slimegirl and a girl in between... almost like a very disfunctional family." Rikke sighed lightly eyeing the fire.

"The bonds we form amongst us are the same ties we have with our families the only differences is we get to pick these." Jess looked at Rikke her smile dazzling even in the faint light of the fire. "Why not take her with us? Whats stopping us from doing that?"

"Sylphie can't travel during the winter. That would make us stay in Endus till spring..." Rikke smiled at the puddle of goo "I wonder, did that gradma make Sylphie that cloak we ordered. How would it fit her... travelling around with a slime girl would cause quite a few tricky situations you know" the rogue smiled warmly at Jessica, her eyes as bright and beautiful as ever.
