Whats the advantages and disadvantages of finishing the game as a virgin? I read that its harder as a non-virgin? I previously played in Jap so I just blindly lvl up and beat stuff .

As a virgin you have some pretty powerful skills available. When losing virginity you lose those, but IIRC you get one or two weaker skills, so it is harder, but I'm not sure of that - played it so long ago...

From what i saw, as a virgin you have powerful skills you unlock by leveling, but as a non virgin, you can whore yourself in the brothel, so you can gain gold more rapidly than a virgin. A non virgin can also have 3 g-balls (you can buy the ore from the marvhand at the harbor, 1 is fund by a npc who ignore what it is and you can have it with the right dialog choice, and the last is found in a secret room in the ruin once you have opened all the shests in the small rooms).

What's needed to unlock the g-ball from the merchant? I've spoken with him and he just says the character isn't interested in it. I think I'm at the end of the game virgin route, so I'm not sure what else I can do at this point.

I'm assuming I missed some npc that mentions it to unlock it?

if you go north of that merchant at the docks, hug the left wall and you should see a rock that can be broken if not already broken. take that path, interact with the lever and go in. you will find a man named henderson and you will get into an easy fight scene. after that speak with the npc and interact with the ball on the table.

Sad thing is, I destroyed the block and assumed it was just a side road and didn't explore it.

Wow. I always explore the side roads in games. In fact, I always go to the opposite direction the game tells me to go and always take the long route to get to places, all for the sake of exploring. Well, I guess that is just me.

There are 3 girls in the game for you to save from that dude. 3 different ones.

There is a order you have to follow. The first one is when you beat the knight and the mage flees, just before entering the spirit forest.

The second one is when you beat the mage and save the witch girl, right by the exit of the first city.

The third one is by the entrance of the last dungeon, by the exit of the last area of the spirit forest. Those are the 3 "save the girl from the cult" events.

I died fighting the mage in the second one and nothing happened after that and now I can't get the third event. Am I screwed? Do I need to start the game over?

You need to win your fights against him, so if you dont have a save before fighting him, and want those events then yes, you need to start over.

That sucks. Don't you need those events to get to the final boss of the game? And if you die and didn't save beforehand then you're just stuck and have to start all over? The hell is up with that? I guess I should just consider it a lesson learned, but seriously, fuck this game for doing that.

To my knowledge, it only lock you out of a few h-scene.

if youre close to finishing the game, i'd say you finish it and start over with an higher level and some gold, then you'll be able to defeat him easily (even if youre only lvl 25)

as for exploring, i also do that, in fact i dont even use teleporters since i can level faster like that, i do teleport if all the mobs are wak in that route

for leveling i use the lava cave, killing mostly green orcs and fire demons (dont know the true names), there's a place you can find for or five of them near an exit so just kill them exit and reenter.

I was thirty something when i started and managed to up level before being completely killed so i didnt have to worry for potions

max level is 63 67 or 73 dont remember since i'm still 50 this time

Then how the hell am I supposed to get to the last dungeon? I read the walkthrough but I can't find the place in the forest with the ladder leading down to it. It says that it's near the place where you fought the mage for the third time, but I didn't get that event so I have no idea where it is.

from the moon tower, you go south while folowing the right of the map, there is a passage that lead you to the last dungeon. You will need a rope to access the dungeon.

I have completed the game before on virgin run as per the walkthrough in the first post. now with this translation out I wanted to give a non-virgin walkthrough a try. So I start a new game plus but now i have a problem: the game freezes at the part where i go into the forest from the second town with bacon's son to look for shortcuts in the forest. The game freezes right before the scene with Rifi showing her breasts to bacon's son. the music keeps playing but i have no control of the game and nothing happens.
Does anyone else have this? is it because of the translation? I followed non-virgin walkthrough to the letter.

(last time i tried non-virgin run - i had problems too: couldnt catch the thief from third town's inn because he runs into the forest but half of the shortcuts dont work for me there so i had no way of getting to him - and i still had virginity intact on that and this run...)

...so yeah, anyways... anyone have this game freezing issue?

EDIT: actually the problem seems to be that bacon sons speech bubbles dont appear at all...

This is me 99% of the time, it really is. After a couple decades of playing jprgs you'd think I'd have known better than to skip it. :/


Also wanted to mention that I ran into the Goddess power up not working either. Use the gravity ball to hit the demon, but I still do piddly damage with the Goddess' help. After 10mins I just alt f4'd.

How much damage you do? Because it takes a while even using the G Ball and having the power of the goddess. That last bit the demon has left after using the G Ball is still worth easily over 30~50k. So yeah, even dealing 1500 damage it still takes a while.

EDIT: On a different note, does anyone knows if the event with the cat and 3 kids in the port of the first town has any kind of specific trigger or requirement? I got it at random on my first playthrough, but now that I am on my second I can't seem to trigger it.

Ya about 1500 is what I'm doing(generally a little over 1k). Guide earlier in this thread suggested it'd take 2-3 hits, but I kept jugging away anyways. You can see the life go down, I just got tired of spamming it over again.

Yeah, trust me. It takes a while, but you will kill it. Just carry some elixirs and some fullpotions with you and you will be fine.

it needs to be night, H higher than 20 and lower than 100, and clothed (broken degree must be still wearing pants, won't work if only in underpants).
