I have done a partial translation of the basic things in the game but right now i don't have net at home and i can't continue until i have it,so i'm posting what i have done and if someone wants to use it feel free to do so and continue the translation.I translated this is using the 1.8 version.

There's not such thing as version 1.8 of this game..

Latest version of the game is 1.22-

it's 1.08 ... but I will test it first with ver 1.22 link I has just found ...

if there's too much difference / bug, then I will try to edit it first to match it ...
(I'm still newbs so it will takes quite some or a lot of time ... )

in worst case, most is unapplicable ...
but I sure hope not ...

Edit test :
1. work with 1.08 ... so anyone who still play 1.08 might use it for a while ...
(it's still partial translation)
2. I already searching around ... there's A LOT of change between 1.08 to 1.22 ...
this might takes a LONG while to check and and compare ...

The only problem is I think I already bought all the bridges/stairs because they don't show up anymore (see attachment). They're supposed to show up on the top, right?

If I was able to switch to the 15-building option halfway through the game after starting a game with the default 9 slots, why would they make me have to choose at the beginning?

hmm, that's weird ...
1. have you tried to talk to Sonsho (green turtle old man) to make the bridge / stairs ?
(better don't have any building in progress)
2. if it is, the choice should be on top out of 3 (from Shoncho dialogue)
(have note, if that 3 selection appear, then it means there's building in progress ... wait few days until it disappear / the building finished)
that or ... you are still doing part of tutorial which make it bad ...
(Ex : you build / propose a building which you shouldn't have build yet ... this might count as bug ...)

I play with "9 building" choice, but can build latter a lot more ...
and already have 15 spot all over ...
(indeed cliff and stair request will be gone if you already build it all ... or there's story / tutorial need to be fulfilled before it will reapppears ...)

I do get 3 options talking to the turtle (construction, chit-chat, and cancel) but every time I choose the first option, he tells me I don't have a request form (see attachments). I'm not currently building anything and my 9 buildings are the farm shop, furniture store, jail, armor store, weapon store, clothing store, and 3 resident houses.

I just hit autumn (3rd season) so maybe I'm not far enough in the story?

I have all the tools (pick axe, net, fishing pole, hatchet) and I don't have any requests at the moment. I'm pretty far into the game (3rd season) so I don't think it has to do anything with tutorials or quests.

sorry to says this, probably the thing about 9 space and 15 space seems real ...
probably because you select 9 space at start ...
(and I get a lot of restart before, and what I already played was started with 15 space instead of 9 ... I get confused because a lot of restart)

weird how the maker offer lesser 9 space as new add up instead 15 ...

also be careful when you use cheat engine ...
some flag, logic, event can become weird / broken if you use it rashly ...

It's been forever since I played it, but 9 building slots was always the default, in fact, the 15 slots option was offered in later updates. If you chose 9 slots, I think you were always stuck with that, you can't switch, unless you restart, which would give you access to the new game+ options if you didn't want to start completely from scratch.

There was a penalty for selecting 15 slots, something about getting less money when you got married, but I never played far enough to confirm myself.

So with 9 slots, you have no choice but to remove buildings to replace them or get residents to move out to make more space.

also depending on how much you goes in your previous gameplay, there's a lot of bonus in NG+ ...

Archivement for bonus ... (the translation is kinda hard to understand for me)
1. Clearing Tutorial
2. Build Harbor
3. Marriage
4. Clearing Main Story
5. Bronze statue construction

if you already quite far, then try to archive most of this before restarting the game ...
as I see your gameplay save, you already get 1 and 2 ...
just have 3 and 4 if possible ... and if you reach 5 then all the better for NG+ ...

Thanks for all the help (+rep). I'm just going to beeline and finish all the points you listed so I can starat New Game+ ASAP.

Do you have any idea how to upgrade my house? Also, how do I complete the main story and construct the bronze statue?

the home, at one book at the corner, there's choice to upgrade your home ...
upgrade twice from the basic and you can get married ...
for the ending ... I don't know ...
there's should be a walkthru or something ...

urgh, I'm stuck at learning how to translate / edit Japanese words from RPG VX Ace ...
Unless someone guide / teach me further, I can't continue the translation ...

If anyone is curious like I was, you get the maids by upgrading the house to the max (3rd time). Then you approach the book and can employ up to 5 maids. You can't really romance them but you can stick sex toys up their vagoo-goos while they're cleaning your mansion and one time my MC woke up to a BJ from one.

Does anyone know how to trigger h-scenes with the maids or is it completely random?
