Jenny tried to speak but blushed in embarrassment before looking at the map which revealed the secretes. Forgetting all about her shame Jenny looked at the map intently. "I hope she's in there." Jenny frowned though who knew how long it would take or how deep in the girl would have to go. Jenny sat in a chair exhausted from the weight of the upcoming task. "I don't know if Im ready for this Ezalor. Im not warrior or mage."

Ezalor approached the map "So you found the academy aswell... seems the mages have secrets hidden everywhere..." the old man chuckled lightly "I do not know much about your upcoming task my dear... but if what I suspect took place outside of these walls, this may be too grand a feat for you alone. I have not seen a mage cross my door for some time, if this arcane academy does indeed reside where you spotted it out, likely magic has gone astray inside." Ezalor reached towards his library and a book came flying to him "Such abominations are well documented here..." the book contained numerous entries of creatures each more gruesome than the last.

The old man once more looked over Jenny "I will do what I can for you... I cannot be directly involved in anything beyond these walls. But give me a few days and I shall provide you with items that may, with enough resolve, see you through your journey."

Jenny looked at the book of horrors intently they where indeed gruisome. "Ezalor mind if you leave this book out I want to look over it awhile to help prepare myself." If Ezalor complied with the request Jenny would study the arcane monsters in detail for awhile before closing the book. She couldn't waste to much time after all she needed to speak with the Sheriff as well.

"Ofcourse, this is a library afterall. Stay for as long as you wish." He smiled warmly and slowly walked away smiling warmly "You can leave the book on the table when you're done, if there's anything else just call me. I have quite a bit of reading up to do myself." Jenny sat down at one of the reading tables and analized the book in details if these things will truly stand in her way best she learn as much as possible about them.

Some time passed and Jenny finally finished her notes, only the thought of what in the gods name has Lina got herself into. Jenny couldn't even dream up half of these things in her worst nightmares and yet they are not only real, but likely will oppose her! Best if she got ready before even attempting to enter, no point to jump in and likely face a fate worse than Linas own.

Jenny left the book as asked on the table and proceeded outside, she still wanted to visit the sheriffs office. It was barely lunch time by the time she got out, so most of the streets were abuzz with activity.

The girl approached the Sheriffs office, well it certainly looked different from before... not being covered in corpses that is, but the attack definedly did it's damage. The door was mostly patchwork and some of the stains still lingered, blood is not so easily washed away.

The office was open and inside Jenny would find the sheriff, no worse for wearing brand new clothes. Unlike his usual ragedy appearance, something told her Mistey was to blame for this. Reincan was busy on maintanance on one of his weapons and glanced over to Jenny "Something to report, Benny?"

Jenny scowled at the sheriff she wasn't sure if he did it to annoy her or he was really that clueless though when her arrested her he had no trouble with her name then. Still might as well continue the game. "Its Jenny and I think I found where my sister has been taken." Before the sheriff could interrupt her she spoke again. "And I will need some help to get her out."

The man placed his weapon aside and looked up at Jenny, a much more serious look in his face "Alright. I'm listening..." Reincan leaned against his chair and would listen out the girls request, though not making any promises quite yet.

Jenny leaned against the door and looked at Reicarn. "Well you know the mage academy that is rumored to be around here? Well I found it and I have it on good authority that my sister did as well. Its a few hours out of town. The kind old man Ezalor is cooking up some surprises for me for when I enter but it may not be enough. As the sheriff I thought you might be interested in solving one of the threats to the town."

The man leaned against his chair eyeing Jenny in silence for a brief moment "You're serious aren't you..." Reincan quickly got up from his chair and approached the girl "Show me how you found this academy. If what you're telling me is true, you've got my support." seemed the Sheriff would help Jenny out, but first she'd have to show him her findings.

"Alright then come on follow me." If Recarin did Jenny would lead him to the library and show him the map putting the occulus over his eye when he was looking only at the map she wasn't going to put Ezalor's disguise in more jepordy.

The sheriff grabbed the weapon from his table and folowed Jenny out to the library, locking up the office before he left. Though the gesture was likely more out of habbit than to pritect whatever lied inside.

The two slowly entered the library, with it's keeper appearing soon after "Back again, young one?" Ezalor looked down to Jenny and then quickly turned his attention to the sheriff, beaming him a smile aswell "Well this is a rare sight indeed." the sheriff chuckled lightly and warmly hugged the old man "How you've been ya old goat. Still not venting this place out I see..." "And risk the harming the books?! Nonsense!" the two shared a laugh, seemed they knew each other quite well though the connection was yet to be clear to Jenny.

The girl coughed politely standing near the map, calling the sheriff closer "Alright, so... what did you want to show me here." Reincan eyed the map, not impressed, till Jenny placed the Oculus infront of his eye. After adjusting to the new sight the mans eyes grew wide "Well I'll be... this ain't some elaborate trick is it?" Ezalor chuckled warmly "No Rei, the oculus and the map show you the evidence you seek. There is or was indeed a academy there afterall."

The sheriff stepped back "So all those stories about mountain mages and odd lights in the forest were real?" the librarian leaned against his cane "I do not know what you heard... but I fear your stories are no match for the evil inside." Reincan paused a moment deep in his thoughts, likely even ignoring Jenny for a moment "That does explain why the wildlife has such a degree of corruption in it's blood..."

Reincan turned to Jenny "Alright, Jenny. You got me sold on this Academy idea... so whats next?" Ezalor coughed loudly interupting the conversation "The badge allows passage to only one person..." Reincan looked to the librarian then to Jenny "Then I'll go. I have more experience in such matters, I'll check this academy out for you."

"Humm only one huh." Jenny thought for a long while. "Recarn I don't think you should go. Now before you jump to conclusions hear me out. King's Coast needs it sheriff more than another bar girl at Nico's Im I right? If I fail and more monsters come you would be the towns only hope besides you can send for a mage they would be able to handle this better than either one of us. So Ill go I don't want to risk this towns best line of defense." Jenny stared the man down hoping he would back down.

"And I am to send you to your death then?" Reincan harshly glanced over to Jenny "This is a threat to my town safety and I will protect it. No matter what... besides I owe you for saving that girl in the inn during the fog, think of this as a way of thank you." the sheriff cracked a smile and extended his hand to ask for the badge.

Though the sheriff would not hijack Jennys great quest "No, Rei. This is not your quest..." Ezalor firmly placed his hand on the mans shoulder "What are you talking about old man?" the sheriff looked to the librarian not particulary pleased with his words "I won't have another death on my conscience." Ezalor chuckled lightly "You should have more confidence in young Jenny here. She's far stronger than she seems..." the librarian smiled warmly at Jenny "I will give Jenny any aid I can provide, so should you... but do not intervene with her quest."

Reincan eyed the angel for a brief moment and sighed "Son of a b-" "Language..." the sheriff locked his gaze on Jenny "Are you sure you want to go there?"

"Im no fool Recarn no one wants to charge headlong into death but I have to go." Jenny looked at Recarn "Besides you have Misty to think of." Jenny looked at Ezalor briefly before turning back to the sheriff. "If your willing could you give me some pointers on shooting? I think it would be best if I was as prepared as much as possible."

Reincan sighed and looked over to Ezalor who was still resting on his cane looking over the two "You better not get this girl killed Ezalor..." the old man just smiled confidently and said nothing. "Yeah Jenny alright, if you're set on going I won't talk you out of it... not against Ezalors wishes. You can do your thing here or come back to the office, we'll see what and how you're shooting." With that Jenny could follow the sheriff out of the library or linger to do other things around town.

Jenny checked the sun to see its position if it was fairly light still she would follow the sheriff to the range or where ever he led. She would need to get good at shooting and maybe pick up a trick or two as well.

It was indeed still light outside, thus Jenny decided to follow the sheriff back to his patchwork office.

Reincan unlocked his office and creaker the door open "Make yourself at home." and what a horrible measly home it was. Some blood stains clearly washed, but not enough and debris lied around. Likely Mistey hasn't had the opportunity to help out with the clean up here and well the other townsfolk were too busy trying to recover themselves and save the sheriff from bleeding out.

The man sat down on his table near his gun locker and looked up at Jenny "Alright, lets see what you're shooting..."

"Well I left my rifle in my room but its one of those bolt action guns. I also use this." Jenny pulled out her Su-Ku-Ta hand repeater.

Reincan took the weapon for inspection and after a brief moment looked up to Jenny "Really?... you want to go to that place with this pea-shooter..." the sheriff facepalmed strongly to Jenny, not even looking at her.

"Just... go bring me that rifle you mentioned. I'll look what I can do for your pea-shooter here..." the man dismissively waved Jenny away and went to unlock his locker. He was a man of his guns, likely the sheriff could really greatly improve the girls arsenal... even if he wasn't particulary nice about it.

"Pea shooter? Soory its no 10 pounds of steel." Jenny huffed off to get her rifle how dare the dirty man make fun of her gun. It may not pack the punch of the other guns she had seen but it held more shots and was easier to conceal.

The walk to her room would prove uneventfull afterall it was just down the street, though the sun would set soon. The days were starting to get dark significantly faster with Winter coming in soon.

Jenny found her room exactly like she left before going out to her shift, her rifle rested under the bed safely tucked away. The heroine grabbed her weapon and made her way back to the mans office only to find her repeater completely dismantled and Reincan eyeing some part on his table "Well the good news is I've got the means to improve so this thing should do more than tickle the beasts... the news the parts are rare and expensive..."

"M? Is that the rifle you were talking about... let me see."
