Dark shock deals 5 damage! [65/70HP left]

Jenny approached one of the pictures she did not see at random and steadying her breath slowly placed her hands on the frame. It moved, her concentration high she'd flip over the picture only for her eyes to go wide.

It was a picture of a raven haired girl rested on a gravel statue of 3. The girl had long flowing black hair and oddly enough raven wings on her back. The art piece had a split background, one side of the pictured showed bright green fields, while the other used far darker colors and seeming flames, with the fallen angel? clearly the center piece.

A strange similarity was all, but too evident about it though it was hard to place. Unfortunately she'd not have much time to consider it as a an exceptionally painful shock ran seemingly from the pictures frame across Jennys body. As if electricity, the effect briefly held the girl before dispersing. The picture flipping closed right before her. While her body was slightly sore it barely did any real damage, minus inflicting pain.

Looking at it and the nearest two pictures they would not move once more. No matter how hard Jenny tugged. Sirs gaze was felt once more, as if hinting what to do.

Holding her hand tenderly Jenny moved back to gaze at the paintings once more. It was clear that the picutres where drawing from her mind of her past. The question was why did picture number 7 have her torn between eart and hell.....

Just as Jenny positioned herself in the middle of the room, all the pictures flipped once more! Her thoughts still questioning the meaning of the previous piece the girl barely gathered herself in time to see two of the pictures. A faint picture of a wolf and a manor.

A wolf another horror of her past. The other question was the manor. She had yet to be in one besides that play she had been forced to be in. Sighing Jenny frowned. She didn't like this game one bit. Heading over Jenny reached for picture 11 and flipped it over bracing for a shock.

3 enemies appear

Jenny reached out and turned the picture to face her. It was a piece showing 3 masculine figures, their forms dark and devoid of any features. Each brandishing a different weapon and looking to the viewer with a wicked smile.

There would be no shock, instead the picture flipped over would slam against the behind it and remain there. Though just as the slam echo finished, dark snickers could be heard behind the girl!

Turning around Jenny saw the very same figures enter enter the dimly illuminated area, be it thankfully or not all looking to Jenny. One armed with a blade, one with a revolver and the third with a massive club!

Jenny wouldn't hesitate one minute. Instanly her blade struck out against the creep looking at her that held the gun. "Riley Sir hide!" Jenny called out to her friends making sure they took cover just incase. It was an uneven fight for sure and Jenny felt her nature try to assert herself. For a moment her eyes glowed red as her power almost lept out to ensnare one of the creatures minds. Thankfully she held it in check unsure if she wanted to risk such contact with these things.

Thankfully Jenny had just enough time to draw her blade before the battle truly began. Her plain sword would swing and strike true landing a decent blow across the creatures body! Black liquid as if blood splattering out as it stepped back!

Unfortunately it seemed not enough to kill it as the creature after it's initial stagger let loose a shot, even if the sound was muted the bullet sting was all too real. Jenny winced as the bullet pierced the top of her shoulder a small stream of blood trickling down. The shock of being shot, leaving her open to a slash across her back! As the Swordsman joined the attack making Jenny herself stagger forward before she'd be able to turn around. Her blood clear on the sword.

Just to make the situation worse a sudden cry rang out across the room as one of the creatures suddenly took hold of Riley it's dark hands locking the girls own behind her with one hand, while the other kept itself on her mouth. The creature pressing the girl closer against itself with a dark grin.

This were looking horrid! Her whole body stung as if keen to collapse just from one well placed blow! Falling in such a place... the thought seemed to far more frightening than falling to a beast in the wilds.

The dread thoughts only dispersed as a sudden bolt of white, crashed into Jenny! The girl braced herself to fall only to feel the pain relieved and the bleeding cease for now, from behind the two humanoid figures stood Sir his hands alight with golden magic. A healing bolt?!

Jenny would have to question this later for now though blood had been drawn and it was hers. Unable to hold back her eyes ignited in red as she looked at the swords men. "Defend me!" Reading herself Jenny waited for the next attack in a defensive position hoping her magics ensnared one of the creatures.

Jennys eyes beamed bright demonic red, the dark room accentuating their wicked nature! The swordman was struck head on was he halted mid-attack, the gun-wielding figure once more raising it's hand to aim down and shoot at Jenny. Only for a blade to cut the gun hand off, followed by another attack to decapitate his friend! The charm worked like a... well it was very successful!

Seeing the sight the last of the trio suddenly pushed Riley forward making her collapse on her knees, the girl oddly enough seeming way weaker than usual, hardly even able to get to her knees.

Meanwhile Sir was busy casting yet another healing bolt at Jenny once more treating the wounds and relieving even more of the pain. Infact by now Jenny felt... surprisingly good.

"What did you do to her!" Jenny was furious as she saw Riley down on the ground. "Sir never mind me see to Riley.. please...." Jenny then ordered the swordsman to attack the club weilder watching the two fight while keeping herself protected and to see who won the outcome.

Under his masters command Sir would rush to Riley and help her to a sitting position. The trickster resting a hand on the tiny construct as he tended to her.

Meanwhile the two figures engaged in battle, the club wielder charged for Jenny only to be intercepted by his comrade. The two fought fiercely trading expert slashes to bone crushing impacts, before with the final strike both hit each other and froze. Moments later the two figures dispersed. Leaving the trio alone once more.

A loud scraping sound could be heard as the picture grinded it's frame along the wall as it slowly flipped closed once more. All the pictures remaning sealed until Jenny returned right to the middle of the room.

Screw the pictures for now Jenny instead rushed over to Riley. "Hey you okay?" Jenny brought Riley into a hug and held her trying to comfort the woman. "Did they hurt you....." Jenny held RIley a good moment far more worried than what she sounded.

Riley breathed a sigh of relief "Thank goodness.. Jen!" the trickster hugged back weakly "W-whats going on?" oddly enough she seemed out of breath and spoke in very short bursts.

If Jenny insisted Riley would answer "The dark, it just keep fighting back." the paused briefly "I need to focus now or it'll win-out. Can't... talk." only then Jenny properly looked to the very corners of their limited lighting. Indeed the very very borders with the darkness seemingly crawled and clawed at the light.

The whole challenge posed on them, had a time limit neither girls could've foreseen. A time limit just how long, Riley could hold the darkness back. Seemed the trickster had to devote herself fully for the illumination and limited safety they had.

Not good.. not good at all. "Riley can you keep your strenght up? If not then we are leaving this place be damned." Jenny's voice was full of concern and compassion for her friend.

"Not yet, just the sudden grab... knocked me out of it a bit.." Riley smiled bravely at Jenny "I'll tell you when, just... need to focus for a bit 'kay?" she'd relax in her sitting as the light steadied itself fairly visibily "Oh and Jenny." the trickster smiled widely "No more strange attackers anymore, 'kay?" with that she'd fall silent, her expression changing from a smile to a surprisingly stern expression very unlike her.

Seemed she was serious about this giving Jenny as much time as she needed, it was up to the heroine not to squander it.

Jenny kissed Riley on the lips willing she could give her some energy but alas it didn't work that way. "Ill do my best." Jenny sighed and let Riley focus herself alittle more before heading to the center room. "Okay Sir you keep an eye out for the bad ones alright."

Bracing herself Jenny once more got in position to spot the pictures, still shaken from combat the girl quickly mentally recalled all the pictures she knew to look at the one she didn't know.

With that the pictures were once more illuminated, Jenny catching glimpse of the second picture on near the door being of some sort of sharpshooter, a golden 5 gleaming clearly.

And looking elsewhere she'd only spot a picture of a caravan, with the other details too far away and dimly illuminated to be clearly spotted.

Jenny grabbed her blade and readied it for any surprises. The sheiffe the caravan.. all events from her past. Suddenly the mannor slid into place as the white manor. Heading for picture number 5 Jenny flipped it over hoping to reveal the next peice of the puzzle with out being zapped.

Jenny flipped over the picture expecting the worst, only for the sight to stir her heart. It was portrait of a far more mature woman, she had sparkling blue eyes and black hair, complete with a warm smile that Jenny couldn't help but relate to. The woman held a letter with the number 4 printed on it "M-mam--" before she could even finish her comment of disbelief finished the same zap as before forced Jenny to let go of the picture only for it to be closed right before her.

By now Jenny knew how this 'game' played.

Jenny held her hand limply and shook the shock off before hading back to the middle Jenny thought htis threw all thse pitcures where of something form her past.... she just had to place them in order right but which order going back or forward.
