You sure it's on JP Locale? The error message is (METAL)BOXES, implying that you don't even have the fonts installed at all or you're doing something else wrong that I'm not aware of, but like the person above, it makes my eyes hurt squinting to see what was wrong. Either way, I'm definitily sure that you probably still aren't running it on jp locale or using applocale instead just doesn't cut it in this case, someone had a similar problem on the first page of the game's thread and that was mostly because jp locale settings weren't set properly.

Also possible it wasn't dled in Jap locale. I recognize the error to a degree (from before I just left my system in jap locale.)

that's just it , i have everything installed =/

all the fonts everything @_@

my game was put on , an external driver , everything else runs fine.

for some reason...

some times my folders don't show the japanese font. i have to turn off my driver an turn it back on before it show them again, could that be the problem?

You must be registered to see the links

Make sure you have East Asian Language Pack installed. Make sure you're in Japanese non-unicode. Make sure you install while UNDER Japanese non-unicode, or magical, wizardry things can happen. Make sure you've corrected the regional numerical representations, such as changing . to , for percents, or strange, wonderful things can happen, like your women turning completely black~

Don't run games that require registry entries from external drives. In fact, unless it's Firefox lite or Dwarf Fortress at work, don't run programs from external drives.

Also possible it wasn't dled in Jap locale.

That doesn't affect anything. The only thing that would affect it is if it's zipped outside of Japanese non-unicode or unzipped outside of it.

when i downloaded it. it gaved an install program AND!!! a program folder with the game inside do i reinstall it ?

The install program is most likely copying from that folder and setting registry paths, if I'm reading your post correctly. Use the installer in non-unicode, and if that doesn't work, attempt to play it from the folder itself instead of installing.

Make sure you have East Asian Language Pack installed. That's the Japanese font container you'll need.

I'm guessing you already have the font thing sorted, ok I had this problem before but that was like 1 year ago games like these you cant use applocale program you must use a program called NTLEA google it and click the hongfire link that comes up as the 6th result

You want someone to translate the error message, translation aggregator will translate it, thats how it will help you...
Was that a trick question?

Aggregator is worth getting and setting up as it will come in useful for other J-games, let me go find a link for it

Long time lurker, first time posting and I think running the game as administrator would help solve your problem (your screenshots seem similar to when I run ANY Black Lilith game without running it as administrator).

You have to run the game in Japanese locale. Applocale won't work because the game is attempting to copy Japanese text to a Windows system variable. Since you're not in Japanese locale, it crashes. You may think you have your locale settings correct, but check them again.

As people said, Applocal wouldn't work. AND you need to change the system local as Administrative tab > Change system local not the Format one.

but if you already done so, Try re-install game again after change system local or re-extract it again from winRaR or whatever its with.

PS : I think run as Administartor should do it too may be ._. ?

BUT what if the game came installed in a folder but was zipped

do I have to install it an over write the files in the game folder it came with

Sometimes the Applocal program don't work with all games. The game coming up likes ' I can only playable with truly japanese local. ' so applocal never do the job with games or items like that.

Only way is to change the system local. In the Region and Language in Control Panel, the very last choice to fix every things under control ._."

When you finish with them and feel uncomfortable with JP local, just change it back. Some stuff just cannot be consume in easy way don't it.

did i mention my helpful advice? as in i had the same problem long time ago all you need is NTLEA its not that hard really, but if you really want i can give you the link to the torrent which has like 30 + seeders to the game and it doesnt even need the NTLEA program to run because its a zip with the installer and stuff
