Re: Crimson Queen (Mirchie)
An affronted scowl crossed Simone's features as Mirchell blurted her bored status to the angel walking beside her, and her following words did nothing to erase or even ease that expression from the finely sculpted features of the winged blond cyclops. "Grim? I am not being grim... I am being practical. Avoiding the desire to strangle you can be considered friendly to a demon, can it not?" she replied sardonically, obviously trying and failing to lessen the bite in her tone.
"But... If you would insist on conversation while we travel, I suppose that I can humor you," she continued coolly, her anger vanishing instantly as she turned to glance at the ashen-skinned demoness. "Why do you insist on this... Gesture? These efforts at socialization? Admittedly I travel with you regardless of your will, a fact that I had thought you would resent. I cannot help but think you are fishing for a weakness, something to exploit to get the upper hand on me. But... After.... Uhm... Last night it seems odd that you would bother, given the opportunity that you had already been presented with."
Simone had grown sheepish for a moment as she mentioned their tryst, but her confrontational front quickly returned as she continued; "Your stated goal of returning where you belong is one that I agree with, and you haven't done anything in front of me that leads me to believe that you ought to be killed. Those are the only real reasons that keep me from going to blows with you for your race alone, regardless of my... Prior indiscretions. Why do you make efforts to be friendly with me, knowing that?" Though she was still slightly aggressive, Simone's tone became a bit more curious as she reached her final question.
