rename like this, and you can play without any error.

z1.player => zako01.player
z2.player => zako02.player
zob.player => ゾブラ.player

Ok. I tried copy/paste, renames, etc. No matter what I do I always get the same error:
ff.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When I click for details I get this:

Error signature:
AppName: ff.exe AppVer: 1.0.2.0 ModName: ff.exe
ModVer: 1.0.2.0 Offset: 00015f19


Can someone help?

Same here. I tried figure out what cause it, but no luck.

in the stage selection, I have a text:

Player Open error [f]fuf%o.player]

After that the stage start normal but after I defeat the fat guy the game crash... I try all the renames but nothing... a little help here?

I'm guessing your missing a file that needs japanese text, or applocale maybe, have you tried something like that?

I just figured out why get that error. It's new ff.kgt file cause that error.

The old ff.kgt file have no error before overwrite it. There must be some code errors or something.

Yeah, I keep having the same problem even when I rename the files. The strange thing is that when I download the original version, it runs perfectly, so it's definitely an issue with the dlc

Does anyone by any chance has a link with the files named? I can't get it to work for some reason, it keeps throwing that error at the start of the stage :confused: thanks!

All that appears you need to do to solve any of the errors is to download the version linked from mega, unpack it, and then run it using applocale.

No renaming of files or anything.

The mega link (yes, even the second edited one) didn't work. I didn't bother trying the multi-links. However, I can confirm that this link from nyaa works perfectly with no need to manually edit anything.

I have the copy from that link but it has the same issue, and no it doesnt comes named, it fails after the character selection screen, showing goofy-named files missing, i have them all name in japanese within my japanese local machine... what else could it be...

edit: the mega link is broken, it downloads it but no file is shown after download

That's strange. Maybe something with your specific computer set-up...

All I know is that I tried the first mega link, the second one, and renaming files. All gave me those error messages that everyone has been mentioning. Then I downloaded the one from nyaa, and played the game through to the end with no issues.

Its got more new with it than just a few new enemies and new playable characters. A lot of old enemies and stages seem to have been tweaked and their appearances altered.

Holy crap, this did work for me, well i had to run the game with applocale for it to work, thanks man, and also Onyx for the guide:)
