delete all cookies and reconnect to your provider to get another ip. this should help avoiding this annyoing waiting time.

So let me just clear this up once and for all...
When you translate more of this game, you will just hand-out another PATCH right??

We wont need to download the entire core-files again, right?

That was the idea when I first uploaded the "CORE-FILES".

In fact, if you don't mind missing a thumbnail and sound modification, I could make a patch which would let you "upgrade" version 1.00 of CORE-FILES to 1.04 of the original game - only catch is that I expect the save files not to work with the new release (this would be fully japanese).

Right now, I'm just sitting twiddling my thumbs to see if they'll release a new update within the next week or two before continuing the translation effort.

Yea upload.net is harsh with its download policy. can someone reup them to mediafire at least upload the translation patch.

You can't upload it to MediaFire anymore, because they'll just remove it.

Masking the names of the files doesn't work, they still remove it.

Also, you must have the seven core files too, otherwise, the patch will not work.

Sadly, no the patch does NOT work with the torrent on the first post. I am looking around to see if I can get it to work, but so far the "solutions" I've found involve making a 400MB+ patch file. ... which defeats the purpose. As for another host ... if it were a smaller file, I would upload it myself, but pushing 600MB is just too much for me. Sorry.

So, 1.05 got released. Again, it's only a small change. And it's another 500+ MB download. I'm not sure it's worth it. I'd download it, if I knew it was compatible with the translation patches, but I'm pretty sure it's not. So, this is basically for myRubbish2001, so that he can make a new patch (for us).

Edit2: Actually, I downloaded it because of the note he made about exposing data on this version. And he has split up the huge Data.wolf of the previous versions into chunks, much like myrubbish2001 has done.

I didn't bother downloading the files from uploaded, so I'm not sure if they're split up the same (I'd guess not though). So, it might be worth a download, assuming these packages will be the ones myrubbish2001 will work with when he updates from 1.00 to current.

Anyway, we'll see. I expect there to be patches for this game come out every now and then, rather than the author fixing stuff and then issuing a major patch for it. I think he's preoccupied with his other games come out soonish.

Hmm... this is awkward, but I think it's best to start with an apology. To all those who downloaded my "CORE-FILES", I'm really REALLY sorry, but after a LOT of consideration I've come to the conclusion that it is just not viable to release translation updates in that manner. My apologies for making you use your bandwidth & time.

Onto more productive news, while the english translation's been put on hold, I've been looking for ways to make practical patches to the game. And I think I've finally got it,

JAPANESE PATCH:
Patch to ver1.05:
EA_updater2.exe [<5MB] (

If you copy the above utility to the game directory (next to Game.exe), run it and press Next>Next>Install (I've been hard at work with making this user-friendly!), it will patch the game to the Japanese 1.05 release.

Yep, no need to re-download an entire 600MB+ worth of anything. This little (<5MB) file of mine will upgrade the game to latest version!

Basically, with the patch utility, I extract the game resource files on your computer and ONLY update whatever files were modified. It keeps the patch size small and a whole lot easier to manage.

I've tested the updating with version 1.00 , 1.03 and 1.04 of the game. It works well on my Win7 system. To most of you, it means that it will work with the torrent on the first post.

I'll repeat however, this is a JAPANESE patch. Not an English translation - I'll get round to that later.

OK, I tried out the new patcher. It was over 1.05, since I don't think I have an older version. Anyway, I noticed that it wanted to install to c:, but where I have my game is on m:/blah/blah. I manually changed it to the correct path, and everything seems to have worked well.

So, this was the result: (see image).

Is that was was expected? I notice there's 12 folders, but 15 .wolf files. Can I delete the duplicate .wolf files, or do the folders rely on them being there as well? Just wondering. I'm playing another game at the moment, but I wanted to stop and try this out. Thanks, myrubbish2001.

Seems interesting (after reading four pages of posts), I might get this before translation... and try to Blunderbuss my way through (as usual, looks like I may have the time), then wait on translation... like I did with SakiQuest, a game which I am sad to see being left in an incomplete state with all the ideas the original developer had for it.

Back onto this:
I truly appreciate the time an effort you're putting in on this, myrubbish. It's great to see someone who keeps people updated on translations instead of months of nothing and then "*blip* done" or "*blip* discontinued".
