Re: Eroico -Develouped by kyrieru-
Ah, my bad, took that the wrong way. I should have also said that was enough (the cubes things), but if you play Kurovadis, the way the game is done leads to actually finding down attacks since in Kurovadis contact doesn't do damage, you eventually jump on top of stuff, and then wonder if you can attack down, and VOILA, FU***** GENIOUS! (dat egoraptor moment)
Also, for a difficult game, go try Ikari Warriors without pressing A B B A when you die.
As for the tutorial, I understand it really isn't needed, as for the notepad with the attacks, just one tiny little problem, he didn't make it. Pretty sure he will next time, but expecting everyone to know the controls from the non-updated demo blog post (the very first demo) is well, ah heck, being too picky here, but he really should put a read me.
Then again, he also mentioned the game was still missing features so... who knows?
As for what dienow said, I agree mostly, except for the bit where he said "Those games MADE you want to beat them" and in said "games" was Ghost'n'Goblins in the list.
I am sorry, but that game is pure stoopid when it forces you to beat it a second time. The same game. Again. Forces you. No consent. It's not "Wow, remember that hard and awesome game? I feel like trying it again!", it's "OHHHHH that game, yeah, no. I felt like a raped victim when it forced me to do it again". That, wasn't difficulty. That was insanely annoying. And yes, you are forced, 'cuz curiosity, and then you feel full of shame. And no, I don't consider the first "half" as having beaten the game. It doesn't say you have saved the princess on the first half. asdlkasdfasklf qoweirupqwiurqpew x,mz.,xzv.x,ncv sl;ajkfal;dkfjqpo!!!!!!!!!
I was just disagreeing with foamy at the need of a tutorial in games really, I actually think eroico's first stage was decent but could've been much better in this regard.
Also, the game isn't too hard at all, you can't breeze through it first try which is fine by me, and you have to learn through playing and experience which is also great, it's pretty fun overall.
