Re: RJ113419 - Dungeons and Prisoners
I've been as deep as floor 28. So far there are 4 tile sets. I have yet to find the fabled tentacle sex.
Dungeon: Goblins,Rogues, gnolls. Nothing too special on this floor. Be careful of the mage's grease spell, and at REALLY deep levels they will start casting a ridiculous power line fire spell that persists.
Dark Dungeon: The "fun" floor. Slimes, werewolves, ogres, and magical beasts of all varieties. Slimes will duplicate every round they take damage, splitting their health. But they are rather innocuous and do nearly no damage. Nagas can be used as meat shields once defeated. Tall cow and gnoll like enemies do a LOT of damage. Werewolves are practically unkillable without lightning weapon and dragon strength or Lynn, they also hit like a truck. Never stand near a casting doom kun, they giant stuffed mario enemy things. You'll know them when you see them. Their ice breath will chunk your health. Mind flayers, while classically being top tier enemies, are complete pushovers.
Forest: Last I checked rest zones that spawn on these floors DO NOT WORK. Giant mix bag of animals. Most of them have a gap close or have bonus move speed, so running can be hit or miss. Harpies can take a lot of damage once downed, and naga will pull you closer with their attacks. Shining lizards do a lot of undodgable damage with their shining light. Flying enemies can follow you along the walls but not over the trees.
Black hole dungeon: Same tile set as the standard dungeon, but stairs are a tall hole that you can interact with but not step on. They're often very large, don't spawn enemies and will never have a rest zone. However, if you go up back into one, it will spawn enemies from the floor you came from.
