Hey everyone. I recently decided to pick up this game from Teatime. I didn't really get into it that well; but suppose that some of you here would get a kick out of it.

It's called Network Netoraru Kare Machi Kanojo (boy that's a mouthful,) or just Karekano for short And it's a online netorare dating sim. There are two default girls. Cocoa, your childhood friend; and Tamtam, a shrine maiden from your dreams. But, you can design other characters and I believe you can carry over other characters from other teatime games.

Teatime's charcters do look somewhat younger, but they don't fall into the loli category. Moe yes. They strike me more like a moe design.

Oh yes. Teatime's games are incredible.

Too bad their netcode is absolutely awful though.

So in what way is this netorare? As an avid hater of NTR in general, I have to ask what the issue here is. If it's a simple matter of the one girl getting upset about you dating the other, that's acceptable (if not overdone too much) but I'd certainly hope it's not another damn case of "random jackass takes your GF" or some shit.

Either way NTR usually turns stories to utter shit where characters cannot stick to one consistent personality "here let me hook you up with this girl" "I had feelings for you all along and I'm now VERY upset that you're dating the girl I hooked you up with and will do all sorts of absurd things because of it, you know, because you're the only guy in the world and I have MASSIVE coping issues I need to project on you for DRAMA".....

Oh man Karekano.
I have a love/hate relationship with Teatime's games(Mostly the CustomTime -> LoveGear -> Karekano series) because they have a pretty great edit mode, and themes i like(Such as futa), but on the flipside they also have some of the worst optimization and bug fixing i've seen.
Not to mention the godawful story modes.

Oh and a fun fact: you can have both your character and the girlfriend be any gender you like. Being female yourself makes h-scenes kinda not work though.

If i've understood it correctly, the netorare is completely tied to the game's online features.
You can date the girlfriends of other players, and they can also date your girlfriend, and the game keeps track of this.
Never tried the online stuff though.

So the only "NTR" is the online feature? How is that NTR? Who would feel attached to a pixel character with almost no story behind her? We create characters like these so they can get raped by monsters, who would actually be attached to them. Then again, there are lots of different kinds of people in the world so who knows. Even if I did grow attached, I enjoy watching characters get NTRed in hentai, not getting NTRed myself.
