Yay, finally found Belle and defeat her.....and for a boss, man, she's really fragile. I beat her in three attacks using Falcon Stake.

But then again, maybe I was lucky that my attack blinded her on the 1st attack and made her can't run away properly. or maybe because I'm playing in easy mode And yes, her summon is the one very annoyig.

Now, Dullahan, you are next.

Take her on in a small monster room with lots of backup. Her real strength is the mass number of debuffs she hits you with while others take charge of beating you up. Nothing a scroll or two can't handle though.

The count is the polar opposite, hopefully you don't face him with a full room of monsters to help him.

I will give you the same tip I gave to Harley. Make sure to bring 2 elixirs.

Good luck on beating the final boss, remember Count start appearing from floor 12.

I'm averaging 70-75 levels for my current railway runs

... that is broken in terms of floors run. I am not even close to that amount.

Finally meet Dullahan.

Man, he is insane.....all those debufs while hits like a truck.

At least I finally beat him and yeah, thankfully I meet him in an empty room with no backups. Even then I almost got killed multiple times.

So I finally beat all the lords, I got the option to restart...yet I still can't access Roland's room?

Is something wrong? Or is this also another penalty for playing easy?

And speaking of easy, while it's true that some mons ability is disabled, I think it ends up harder because I can't get my equip beyond +10 or +11 if I'm lucky. The only benefits is I can see the number of distance toward my destination.

You should see some of the comments on the BBS board. One user is taking on monsters in excess of level 300 after using a confuse scroll, scroll of judgement and then the MaidenSnow ability to clean up. The highest monster level I've personally beaten is just under 120 and that was on floor 65+. I can't even imagine where level 300 monsters come from.

My last run was a small monster room at level 78, I stopped because I ran out of space in my big storage chest, equipment-wise I could have carried on since I had at least 3 repair scrolls and a ton of scrolls of judgement.

@Zenislez: Congratulations! Now you need to make your way back to the church safe point. The altar should have a blue circle that you can interact with, that's the entrance to the PC's personal room. You should be able to play at normal difficulty once you access the room, more importantly anything you placed in the big storage chest can now be withdrawn at will.

Uh....okay, I already returned to the room, got the sister's essence....but I think I'm still in easy because I can still see the number of the distance...yet all mons seems to have increased lvl when I choose to start from the church.

Easy? Or is it Normal yet?

I guess I need to go to the blacksmith 1st to confirm

And I don't see anything about restarting in normal lvl too.

Edit. Okay, still can't upgrade equip from Blacksmith. Guess I'm screwed up?

There are two ways to restart the game. The first is to interact with the bed which offers players a restart AT THE SAME DIFFICULTY LEVEL. You also get options regarding export of your "history".

The other option to restart at a higher difficulty level should be found at the left-hand side of the PC's room. It's at the end of a corridor-ish stretch and the message there should be something along the lines of entering normal difficulty.

Going by your description, you simply restarted the game on the same difficulty level. One good thing is that you can now get the other memory you missed out the first time round (i.e. if you got the burial blade first time, you can go to the catacomb depths first BEFORE the hollow tree to claim the cross fragment needed to forge the crossfire P8. Not that it matters, but the dialogue in the new memory focuses on a different aspect of the storyline).

If you're curious, the sister's essence forges a new unique armour with the sister's robe. I'll leave it to you to figure out the surprise on your own.

The other unique armour requires the animal essence. This needs a bit more work and you're strongly advised to back-up your saves first before attempting to get the animal essence. Ask when you're ready.

There should be an option allowing players to start at a higher difficulty level. Best thing for you is to post a screenshot of what you can see in the room.

My player is currently at the blacksmith at the moment, so I can't show you what the PC's room looks like in normal until I finish a run.

That's visual confirmation. In normal mode there should be a circle next to the cupboard closest to the wall (where the chair and ledge is). That's what I would select if I wanted to progress to Makai from normal.

Apologies for doubting you, but I personally thought that progression from easy difficulty was doable at the same spot. If you're up to it, you'll need to start a fresh game from normal difficulty. Or you could continue picking up the memories from easy difficulty and then drop the game.

Ah well, at least I have the knowledge know and can start again with the right aim.

Just need to remember which destination is which letters....

Oh, and I want to ask one more question. While I want to go as dex build, I see that Str build also got the benefit of increased armor.

So which one is better? Or it's just different playstyle afterall with each style have their own benefits and disadvantages?

STR build = increased armour? What do you mean by that?
A lot of times tailoring your character towards more strength means sacrificing your other stats to cater for higher strength. To give you an idea, my current STR rating of 50 is independent of whether I use a cardinal's robe, stray cat or sailor uniform because of the essences I use.

Ask DragonPaladin for tips on the glass cannon build (everything on strength at the expense of 我慢 etc.). If I recall, his preferred armour isn't even the highest in terms of defence rating.

High Dex = nice gun damage and higher percentage to hit for all weapons bar the two-handed ones. High STR = high damage for ALL melee weapons and higher chance to hit for weapons like the granite blade. It's your call since you need to rely on one or the other (or highly upgraded weapons) to ensure consistent kill speed.

So two weapons like Rapier/Athame Knife/Jade Blade depends on dex? Okay.

I guess I'll go with dex. Might as well kill from range to save my armor's durability.
Another reason? I really really hate Black Dog and Black Goat.

The full list of melee weapons that benefit with more damage from high dexterity: Falcon stake, Foxteeth, Nightstalker, Claymore, Nameless blade (pointless really), Rapier and Spined Blade.

Black dogs are easy with wind or lightning weapons. Wands of silence also do a good job in cancelling the ranged lightning attack. Black goats need earth or water, but finishing them off with melee is indeed extremely difficult without decent gear to keep you alive from the lightning and black hole magic attacks.

And yes, I read about the lv300. I was like, "only 3 enemies on forest? What's so special about that? -> 600+ HP maybe."

I was using the lowest set of defense rating armor until I got stray cat, now it's not as bad. Still 1 in terms of 我慢 so I am really weak against surround/sexual attacks. (One of the reason I don't do long runs)

In terms of glass cannon build, all I can say is stick with dex until you are used to the game and have farmed a lot of essence. Glass cannon build is all about stacking stats essence on your weapons and stats essence on your clothing.

For example, I can out-gun Harley a month ago (not sure if I can still do it now) in all 3 departments (damage only, he has better accuracy and just about every other stats)
Granite Blade (Atk3, Def3, Fire3) -> 227 attack rating (upper left corner)
Automatic (Dex3, Magi-Tech2, Thunder3) -> 100 attack
Vanguard (Ice3, Magi-Tech2) -> 136 attack rating/102 magic

That's enough to gun down every single mob in 2 normal attacks, and every boss in 3 turns. (Before floor 30+) For magic, I was using Stray Cat with Mag3, and for weapons, I am using sailor suit with atk2, atk1, agi2, agi1 (You need your dodge when going melee) Again, it's trading defense/and sexual resistance for damage, might not be worth it depending on your play style.

I don't think I do as well in terms of overall stats compared to previously, but it's quite clear my damage rating is well below DragonPaladin's. In my defence, I have not yet finished upgrading my short boots to +30 and that's a few points to 体力 which I'm not getting.

I have a few combinations of armour and accessories that I can mix and match depending on the dungeon. What I've used in my screenshots is the equipment which is being groomed for potential +30.

Accidentally left the railway at level 78 when I could have gone on for much longer. I'm trying to hit level 99 for at least one of the dungeons before I graduate to Makai. It'll probably involve clearing at least 4 big monster lairs and a bit of luck with the frequency of the lairs to make it that far.

I'm trying to hit level 99 for at least one of the dungeons

Okay, I don't even. This game used to not work on my pc, then I got it work with the help of this thread, got a new hard drive for my pc and now it doesn't work no matter what I do.
I Downloaded the "newest" version from Eng DLsite, 2HP error (decrypted the game window just closes around the time it would normally give an error with no explanation). Downloaded the newest version that was on nyaa, 3HP error (decrypted the game window just closes). Even tried a really old version. All of these were decrypted twice (once with RPGDecrypter and once with RGSSAD - RGSS2A - RGSS3A Decrypter) on files extracted from 7-zip, WinRaR, and the native Windows extraction program.

Is there any way a kind person who isn't tearing their hair out can upload a version of Maidensnow that is working (on Win7 [64bit]) and pm me a link? It would be excessively appreciated.

Side note, any chance of this author's next game not having these issues?

90% sure this is a techno-wizard who lives in either Europe or the United States. Almost sure there's zero Japanese proficiency too.

3HP error = daylight savings. Switch time zones and if that still doesn't work ask again.

Cant believe that worked and it took all of 30-40 seconds. Sorry if that was in the thread earlier, used the thread search for 3HP and it said that there were no results (don't know why, I know there's a few posts in here containing "3HP")
