Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

With the latest version, an extra accessory has been made available. The over-knee socks are an alternative to the frill-garters and can be upgraded to +30. Like all accessories of sort, the more the merrier since the player gets to carry more loot at once.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Players need the school swimsuit and the elders' essence.
Elder's Essence? Do you happen to know how to acquire that?

@Dragonpaladin: Want to give this one a go as underwear?
As soon as I find the elder's essence. I have a school swimsuit at +24~25 atm. So yeah, I will give it a try since attack per/critical/magic are all stats I use. (I have +30 slitted underwear and +30 demonic bondage. Old school uniform will fill out the 3rd set. Probably.)

The over-knee socks are an alternative to the frill-garters and can be upgraded to +30. Like all accessories of sort, the more the merrier since the player gets to carry more loot at once.
+_+
Any hint on how to acquire it? (Where is the chest located)

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Check the readme of the latest version. Particularly the following line:

“山小屋”“うろ穴の大木”に固定アイテムを追加。

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

I think there's a bug with the new "prisoner redemption" mechanic.

I left the graveyard till last, picked up the girl as usual and decided to hand her over to the doctor at the water wheel. For some reason the game isn't registering the rescue so I still have a cross for the graveyard.

I'll try a different route via the catacombs and the hollow tree. I'm curious to see what the new graphic looks like.

So small mountain hut and the hollowed tree .- .

Kinda make sense, after visiting those place once (either for extra path unlock or just exploring the first time) I never went back to them again.

I located the over-knee socks at the hollow tree in a chest on the right the first time I visited in a new start game.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Well, this sucks.

I tried looking for the sacrificial offering again in the cemetery after the first round failed to register, now at level 30 and still no sign of it.

It looks like it's a 1-shot deal for the sacrificial offerings. The only thing I did which was different from the other runs was running into a big monster room on my first run.

Noted in terms of hut and hollow tree. Will grab them and see how stats works out for being used as underwear. (Not sure if the attack per and critical still stays. 5% critical is kinda huge)

Also, according to the description. The visual change apparently occurs only during h-scenes? Not sure.

Yes, the visual change only takes effect during a rape animation.

As underwear, the usual 50% penalty to normal stats applies. I can show you the difference between the two provided I survive my latest expedition.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Old school swim-suit is surprisingly tanky as a piece of clothing and as a piece of underwear.

Clothing+25 (Water 3, Res 2, Silver 1)
This is a flat 48% reduction against water, and 20% against fire element.
It's also a -10% against magic, and very high resist.

Underwear+25
When used as underwear, no decrease against water damage.

It's top tier as a defensive piece of underwear, and imba as clothing on certain water maps when used with Tidal (water 3) essence. Offensively, it's still lack-luster when compared to slitted underwear and woe behold, demonic bondage.

Defense > 100 @Lv1 - check. (Due to def 3 Granite blade)
Cardinal just have 2 HP essence on it. I can break 110 if I try with def essence. (Translation, so far for glass cannon xD)

Be sure to have the latest version of the game, as well as installing all 5 patches.

Another thing is this game leans greatly towards good gameplay rather than h-content so you might want to try the game out first, unless roguelike games isn't your thing.

Well, to his defense, the game becomes a lot more bearable once you unlock some of the more useful short cut (especially the connection on your room-church)

And certain playstyle is impossible to do early on (like multiple inscriptions)

Yeah, it's always like this with roguelike games; pretty tough early on but become more bearable as you go further in the game.

Anywho, here's some tips from a user who posted earlier in this thread.

  1. Read this thread! You'll find out how to start a new game, set the menus to English, and the most important parts of the plot. Plus a lot of gameplay tips.
  2. Don't worry about crafting if you don't want to. At least in normal difficulty it's not necessary. The gear you find lying around, or for sale from the dwarf and cat, is good enough to beat all bosses.
  3. Know thyself: Roland is quite powerful, right from the start, if you master when to use her powers and what each does. Also things like not letting yourself be surrounded and using the right stance in different situations can make a huge difference in battle.
  4. After mastering the game mechanics, the most important thing is your gear (as others have already mentioned). Roland's level isn't as important as the level and type of gear you have equipped.
  5. You can try to craft or find the perfect weapon, or you can do what I did: carry one for (almost) every situation. I didn't want to worry about ammo so I went melee-only. I carried one of each of the following: serpent's fang for snakes and dragons, athame knife for devils, claymore for beasts, bone saw for undead, jade blade for elementals (including the "final" boss!) and rapier (with anti-humanoid essense) for everything else (plus). Abuse quick-swap!
  6. Carry a Berry of life and/or Elixir for emergencies. After that, carrying food is more important than healing/relaxing potions. Particularly on long dungeon trips. Also about those long trips: repairer's scrolls are a must if you're going to clear many levels! They also restore your weapon and armors completely, so they are vital; have a spare bunch in your chest if you can.
  7. Repairing an item is what gives it xp (not counting scrolls). Only after an item has accumulated enough xp the dwarf will offer to upgrade/reinforce it. So you have to use whatever you want leveled (unless you find lots of scrolls anyway).
  8. A few punish or hypno scrolls can bring any room full of enemies to its knees. Carry a couple for safety (or 3-4 to face bosses without worries). Wands (chaos/witch hunter/hypnos) can be even more important against bosses.
  9. Like with crafting, you don't need to worry that much about gear slot count if all you're trying to do is beat the bosses on normal. Most of the stuff I carried only had one or two slots, only my rapier had 3 slots.
  10. Regarding accessories, I recommend either my favorite one, artificial core (lowers mana costs), or clock engine (increases damage).
  11. My favorite "brace" was the bracer: great durability and very high physical defense.

Good luck!
These are great tips to keep in mind, for both beginners and those who's already been at the game for a while. Also, be sure to stay away from open areas whenever the option is there; it's a lot easier to take enemies down one at a time rather than taking them all on at once. Just take it slowly and patiently and you'll see Roland surviving encounters a lot easier.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Just looked at this thread and game. There a partial for this game? There is over 100 pages in the thread that's stopping me from looking back on them so I apologize for being lazy.
