I believe this was asked earlier in the thread, it was something like letting you skip a boss fight or something.
Edit: OMGah guys, why are you leaving me with 8% for the last hour? I only have 90 energy, I don't have the 120 needed to finish it myself, comon guysssss.

Yes, if you pass a certain damage threshold through helping a friend, you will get a card(Or weapon in the case of Silver Dragon).
For the Giant Island Turtle Wind/Fire/Water/Earth, the damage threshold is 10% of its hp or 75k damage. If you surpass that amount you can get an uncommon synthesis card lvl 5/10/20 of that turtle's element, or you can get a Rare/SR card. The Rare or SR card are uncommon drops though.
Each boss drops different things, below rank 9, they're generally not worth it for the supporter, though you can still help. Other bosses have different damage thresholds, usually below 10%. The turtles just specifically have that much.
Edit: For the free points, it sounds like you have to register your credit card with them to get it. You don't have to actually spend anything from the looks of it. You also have to fill out your account profile, which you probably already did.

Argh, mfw my boss is at 1% hp, but not 1 hp, so I have to use the full energy cost to finish it off.
