Already played this game. Well, to be honest... Not my type, game is actually nice, but not for me.
Like I mentioned in my first post, there is a good platformer game which I really enjoy.

I'm not a fan of platformer games, but this one is pretty nice.
Simple(you can "easymode"), and has a lot of my favorite stuff.

Everyone likes challenging gameplay, because overcoming that challenge is where the reward lies.

But meaning of this "Challenge" is completely different for many people.
For me in game a challenge can be a...
Do whatever it takes and become a whore - for example. I'm not looking for epic monster/boss fights, almost never think about battle system.
I'm playing a hentai game to relax.
If I really need some hard quests, lots of money/stuff "farm", lvl up, I'll just buy or download some rpg game without hentai.
For me it's impossible to enjoy a battle system, quest and other stuff, if game has sex events.
I can't play all The Elder Scrolls series after Morrowind, because I know about "adult" mods, lawl...

I play it, indeed it is. However, it's all wordplay. That many not appeal to a lot of people because it's all words, that's why Fenoxo does donation for that game.

Trials in Tainted Space however, is going to have pics in it, so he mad a offbeater thing and probably raised more than Corruption of Champions would and could.

It's just pretty flexible in customizing yourself using words and imagination.

Oh wow, it seems like everything's popular. From what I've seen it seems if you make a game, the genre doesn't matter as long as it plays well.

I was actually expecting 1 genre to horribly murder the others but there's pretty much an even distribution.

Personally I like consensual sex the best, and playing as the male who has all the consensual sex. You may recognize this as being in no game, ever. (Sengoku Rance came close).

Hentai VNs are overwhelmingly about male protagonists who have to build relations with women to eventually have consensual sex. However, it naturally takes many hours of reading and making choices to get to that point. Games are typically created to fill a more immediate need, and if you expect to hit start and see some sex in the first 5 minutes, rape is a whole lot easier to do.

Have you played Kamidori Alchemy Meister? There are some situations where Wil is forced into sex, but it's mostly consensual. Certainly more than Rance.

Futa... one of those things on the internet I don't understand and greatly dislike but has a huge prevalence everywhere might be the future of eroge at this rate.

Why does it have to be Monster Girls? I was a fan of Male Protagonist BF/GOR Games before MGQ came out (which is the main reason monster girls became so popular). Lots of RPG Maker games and also the flash game Erotical Night catered to this. I hope EroNight 2 will inspire more BF games. Also: Oneshota and Kariyume.

Those games just aren't numerous which is why I forgot to mention them.

BTW. Monster Girls got known because of MonsterGirl encyclopedia. MonsterGirl quest just showed that they could be included into games.

I've wanted more games along those lines myself. Either involving a party which you have to fight to keep pure throughout the course of the game, or for a more Iris Action style game, involving a cast of characters, with each character being your "lives". Perhaps the final level/ending would involve rescuing any of the characters you had lost up to that point.

There is actually one particular game that comes to mind, although it's only on the light end of that concept and I can't remember it's name. Involved progressing through levels of monsters, in which you were given three girls to choose from (A sword user, a gunner, and a blind priestess) and could take two on each level. If one got corrupted too much then you had to continue the game with the other two. Was a very simple feature, but I really liked it.
[Ps - If anyone knows the name of this game, I no longer have it, and have failed in searches to find it again. Would be neat to have it again.]

Another slight example might be the old old RyonaSaga game. Where you could build a party of up to five, and pit them against various monsters. Most fights would wind up with two or three of your fighters desperately trying to get the beegirl that was planting eggs in their friends to stop. (Either that or you cold heartedly left the monsters to have their way with any victim that was too far gone to recover, and used the distraction to your advantage.)

There was also that ghost town RPG maker game, which seems to fit the 'party' concept, but lack of translation made that one unplayable for me.

About multiple heroes. There's actually a pretty good reason why this isn't done. If you do this, the value of each individual protagonist is lessened greatly and no characterization can be done. Basically it's the difference between Fire Emblem and Disgaea. Fire Emblem's combat system is extremely simple and straight forward, while Disgaea's is very complex and thought provoking battle to battle, yet Fire Emblem has more acclaim. This is because in Nippon Ichi's game, the unit's are just random characters you can buy, lowering their value and overall lowering the plot.

All good story driven SRPGs normally feel weak in gameplay if the unit's are just pawns.

And I wouldn't change it for the world.

Myself, having very broad tastes in these things, I rarely have that kind of problem (like with Umemaro), but I can imagine that's gotta suck. Other than things that are already very niche and a minority anyway, like scat and guro, there's not really anything that I can think of in mainstream hentai that is a specific turn off, to the point of being unable to enjoy the rest. I suppose one of the closest mainstream things that's a no-thanks for me, might be piercings, oddly enough. Never liked piercings. But again it's very rare for that stuff to be focused enough to actually spoil the rest.

And I'd probably say that the reason we don't see multiple player characters in H games, is more down to simply requiring more work, for most game types. I'd actually argue that giving a lone protagonist a party of friends to interact with, would allow for considerable extra opportunity for characterisation. Both in potential dialogue between them, and also in highlighting differences between the characters.

For a game like Iris Action, with that 'each character is a life' idea, that probably is an infeasible extra amount of work to pull off without a significant restructure of the game (good use of 3D graphics could potentially work around that effectively though). For a turn based RPG style battler with a party though, it could be a central enough theme to really be worth it I think.

(And hey, you're not forgeting that Disgaea has main characters too right? ^_^;
Sure you fill out some of the tactical roles of your party with random created characters, but the main cast still have as vibrant a personality as any other RPG.)

Aww man I remember seeing a youtube video that presented some insight as to why futa was popular. I remember them saying stuff like penises and boobs are the most searched terms on search engines by MALES specifically. Yes... I couldn't believe it but guys look up pictures of that stuff.

I didn't think about the idea of more work. When you talked about multiple heroes, I meant for every life you lose in mario, another character jumps in. After dying 5 times, mario has no significance anymore, and the devs have to create other characters too.z

I know disgaea has some vibrant characters... but you grind new recruits quite a lot in that game, and those characters are disposable with no plot-attachment at all.
