Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

If you applied the translate patch you need to replace the BasicData folder that is originally in the Data folder with another one that come together

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

Could someone please tell me how to get cut?

I only have 2 lightbulb items, and both can be equipped on the centaur girl, but I still can't cut, only rock smash.
I caught all the girls in the battle place but didnt find any delinquent girls.

Please help me kill that evil tree! :(

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

Delinquent girl should be in the field on the way from 1st gym to 2nd gym.

I think you will get cut later when you advance further, you get every new light bulb when you defeat the gym leader

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

Huh, good to know. That's pretty surprising, since I got the dark starter's form change well AFTER beating the league.
I haven't tested the case for the dark starter after beating the league. Just following the instructions and hadn't encountered any bugs because of it.

In terms of the light-starter, I haven't tested after the league either, I just know there's definitely miss-able content pre versus post completion. On the other hand, whether you save your childhood friend/rival or not doesn't matter apparently outside of her H-scenes.

I am what one would call a pokenoob. Is there anything other than IV and nature I should look at when catching a pocket girl?

The cave on the top of the 2nd gym city is a day care? How can I use it?

After you catch a pocket girl, you can check her nature in the status. The first box from the top of the screen (should be purple) called Data. Tells who the original trainer is, when they were caught, and at the bottom their nature. This (if its true to the source material) will boost one stat and lower another (check in items, one stat is red and another should be blue. I forget which color is boosted).

IVs can be checked by a man in the heal centers. He will ask which char to check, then give a long winded and colorful description on how their stats are (not hard numbers, but comparisons like being strong enough to kill a mosquito, etc)

That is not a daycare, but where the girls go to lay eggs. After the second town you can buy white pills that can make the girls easy to get pregnant. Just head to that cave and they lay an egg (costs 1000 currency).

That's really useful info Wrath, thank you.

Still though, the question itself remains unanswered. Is there anything else besides nature and IV I should look at when trying to catch a strong pocket girl?

Totally misread your question.

Those who are much further along can correct me, but Ive found certain girls to be more useful in the move sets they learn and their inherent skills. For example, the ghost girl is immune to a large number of attacks for a decent chunk of the game and another girl has a good chance of causing infatuation when she comes into play/attacks. Not sure on all the possible skills the girls have, but this would definitely play a role in determining strong characters.

Well, abilities would be very useful if they were translated or you could read Japanese. Like one girl has an ability that has a random chance of charming the opponent every turn, or another girl has a chance to attack twice a turn. But I can't help you much there.

One thing you should note is the shiny girls. They have a sparkle pop up when they enter combat and will have a different color pallet. They are a lot more common in this game than pokemon, but unlike pokemon, they have a purpose here. They usually have much better base stats than a normal girl. Someone mentioned earlier that a shiny girl with bad IVs will usually have better stats than a normal girl with good IVs, and I've noticed the same thing.

And I almost forgot. If you are interested in breeding strong pokemon, there is an item that can get a girl pregnant and they will always give birth to a shiny if that particular girl actually has a shiny counterpart. It costs 3000 gold but I forgot which city it was in. Maybe the 4th or 5th city. There is another one later on that costs 5000 and I think it has a higher chance of giving the girl good IVs but I've not really used it.

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

Been wondering

if you capture the gal by pumping her body full of men's goodies then how does the girl rival and other girl trainer capture their gal!!!
Based on the story, guy trainers have an advantage over girl trainers.
Since the guy can 'connect' deeply with their gals and the girls can't.

My question for this is, can two of the same pocket girl have different abilities? Like say in pokemon terms, can one pikachu have one ability and another pikachu have a completely different one? Or does it only differ between pocket girl breeds?

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

Here's another one!

I covered a lot this time, especially the Judge Man from the Poke... Recovery Center.
99% Equips
50% Moves
20% Items <- (So buggy, I had to do a very deep check to translate one item without causing errors. Never again.)
Most of the Main Menu, Battle Menus, and etc.

So far so good, no errors I have encountered while playing.
But seeing that a lot of users encountered one, use it at your own risk.

The Additional Folder are just icon translation (just 7 of those).

EDIT: Made some changes. See attachment #2.
How to apply this?

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

So I noticed that my character seems to have some kind of yellow cloud that appears at the location where he enters a screen. I think he smells, and I noticed this after the first Gym battle. Can anyone tell me what this is.

Sorry if this has been asked before or addressed by I have searched the thread and found nothing about this.

I think the same girls can have different skills. The only comparison I could easily do with the ones I've got is their evolution and basic forms, and I noticed a few of the evolutions had different specials. I might be wrong though.

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

@dudeman The green cloud that appears on your character is repel which repels pokegals in the grass.

I'm confused about the ghost girl event. Is she an actual pokegal you can catch or is she just a repeatable side event? If she is a pokegal, how do you catch her? I know it would have something to do with her room but I'm not sure how to fight her a second time.

Re: Pocket Girl Hunter

It has been answered quite a few times already I believe, anyways you equipped an item on your gal that is basically the repel of this game and any wild enemies lower than your gals level won't appear until you take it off.

You can also manipulate shiny IV's with the 3000$ pill by saving right before the gal gives birth but it is VERY time consuming and rng will probably not be your friend here.

this has been answered as well, she isn't a gal, she is a trainer that really has no significance other than making a couple appearances in the story and you can fight her.

To help you guys out big time use the search function and search for> dragonpaladin this guy has answered almost everything there is to know about the game and it will really help you out.
