Based on this creator's previous track record, I am gonna say he is using Wolf RPG Maker. The menu looks relatively the same from past games, too.

Kind of like their monster games, this game has a lot of nice art but well, without being able to read Japanese, or find someone to translate it?

It's not but a nice slideshow of images and sound effects. Not very enjoyable without the dialogue.

Wolf games can be hooked with AGTH using /x and using the limit on repetition of characters (by default I always use 8 since things made in Yuuki!Novel require at least that much for some reason and it works on everything else just fine)

Oh is that how? I tried using Translation Aggregator, and it hooked some letters... hung... then crashed the entire thing.

Then again, is that what we use for text hooking and translation on the fly nowadays? It's been years since I ever looked into anything else.

There is a sort of new thing called ITH now, you could check that out. I'm stuck in my ways now though. On the upside, if you don't mind some of the dialogue being horribly mangled, you can apply a number of single character filters using it and finally be able to hook RPG Maker XP text in-battle, which is usually flooded over and over with your character's status otherwise.

Btw much shorter then the other games, you can beat it within an hour
