Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

So a question. I have a Cecily I've already used a duplicate on, so she's at 6 cost. If I use another duplicate on her, how certain is she to get another -1 cost? And what's the maximum decreased cost she could have, -3?
Outside the event platinum/black, all minimal cost are -3.

No idea on the exact percentage. You can consider it 100% for -1, 50% for -2, and 25% for -3 for most cases. (My cecily is min cost 4, and I don't plant to CC her, since her affection bonus HP is kinda pointless)

@Dragonpaladin: Thanks for the answer

It is the right map and cause i lack the right classes the map is currently unbeatable for me :(
All i got is 1 Mage (Cost 28 Points) and the rest is only physical damage Classes
until i am able to set him up already 1 slime is trough, another close and my Heavy Amors are not strong enough to hold em long enough.

Oh it gets that low huh... But if you CC her doesn't she get much more damage? I was thinking of first going at 4 as well, then CC to 7 so she'll be a cheap and damaging unit.

There's no real point hurrying along that quest maps outside of for silver fairies. I would suggest you get your first witch from 22 Charisma Story mission map first.

The quest map is much easier once you have a witch.

Rogue, damage? Ha. 269 versus 325 doesn't make much of a difference outside of how fast a rogue can kill a goblins. (Past 310 damage and your rogue can 2 hit normal goblins) and almost doubling the cost of the unit kinda beat the point.
Though in terms fo burst, my rouge has level 4 assassination I, so damage is high enough or is a moot point when instant kill activates.

Update:
Assistant name is Anna. アンナ
My apologies about my previous mistake of translating her name wrongly, and has done making this correction through my posts.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Well hour and a half to go on gold event I believe, everybody better hurry, lol. I took a nap and just woke up in time to level soon so I can finish a lot more. I'll be saving two chocolates for the event though. Gunna use the last hour to spin basic gacha like 200 times if I have as much gold as I think I will.

Oh thanks for posting about the maintenance too Dragon. I hope we're all ready for whatever it brings.

I don't think I missed any runs, but doing this so many times, I may not have recorded one.

Event Totals for 24/2:

26 runs total:

0 Gold: 1 times
1 Gold: 5 times
2 gold: 7 times
3 gold: 9 times
4 gold: 4 times

62 total gold units obtained
2.38 average found a map

26 x 3000 = 78,000
62 x 6000 = 372,000
Total profits: 450,000

Probably not as impressive as most here, but that sure was nice~

Nearly 500k, I think I'm good to spin basic gacha 200 times. Time to record those results. Wish I could speed up the gacha animation...I also wish there was a purchase 10 at a time button o.o

Got my first silver at 34 spins, the male silver HA. Funny, I just ate him for Rean's CC.

Event Totals for 24/2:

2 gold: Way more than I can count
3 gold: More than I can count
4 gold: ~ 10 times?

Total profits: > 3 Million

Never going to say little experience again. I leveled from Lv92 to Lv94 using only exp from 24/2 (and 2~3 times 24 King's Road)

Haha nice job, have fun spinning all that...It takes a while o.o I'm on my 76th spin. I love how you can tell it's better than an iron/bronze unit by the background color, the gacha angel is such a tease~ It is pretty exciting seeing a non black background charging up.

Are you crazy? It took a person 2 full hours to do 500 spins. It will take me 6 full hours non-stop to do 1.5k spins. Let's not, I will settle for 50 spins.

Oh Fruit, do report how many silvers/above silver you got once your done.

Update: After about 20 spins and nothing but iron and bronze, I give up. Then did a single premium gacha to celebrate that the marathon is over. And got a platinum archer that is NOT Bashira.
So what do I do with her? *laughs awkwardly* Nanaly makes every single archer in game outside of Soma-chan point less

Congrats D: I'd still count it as a win~

Of course I recorded them all. Kind of disappointing that my silver rate seems to be about half of the wiki records. Those were recorded quite a while ago right? So basic gacha rates could have changed. Of course they also spun much more than me, so they could just be more accurate. I won't know unless I spin as much as them before they possibly change the rates.

Iron: 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 23, 25, 28, 29, 30, 33, 35, 38, 40, 41, 42, 44, 45, 47, 49, 51, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 81, 85, 88, 91, 92, 94, 95, 97, 100, 101, 103, 107, 109, 110, 111
116, 117, 118, 119, 124, 127, 128, 129, 132, 133, 134, 135, 138, 143, 144, 146, 149, 150, 152, 153, 154, 155, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 163, 166, 168, 170, 171, 173, 174, 177, 180, 184, 185, 186, 188, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 197, 200

Bronze: 1, 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 31, 32, 36, 37, 39, 43, 46, 48, 50, 53, 55, 60, 66, 71, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 82, 83, 84, 86, 87, 89, 90, 93, 96, 99, 102, 104, 105, 106, 108, 112, 113, 114, 115, 121, 122, 123, 125, 126, 130, 131, 136, 137, 139, 140, 141, 142, 145, 147, 148, 151, 156, 162, 164, 165, 167, 172, 175, 176, 178, 179, 181, 182, 183, 187, 189, 192, 196, 198, 199

Silver: 34, 58, 72, 98, 120, 169

Gold: 0

Platinum: 0

Black: 0

34: Silver Male HA
58: Silver Mischa
72: Silver Rogue Cecily
98: Silver Phylis
120: Silver Alisa
169: Silver Daniela

Iron: 103
Bronze: 91
Silver: 6
Gold: 0
Platinum: 0
Black: 0

Iron: 51.5%
Bronze: 45.5%
Silver: 3%

I didn't get what I needed, but I can get some cost reductions hopefully x.x

Phylis/Daniela gets a guaranteed -1 cost and +1 skill, which is greatly helpful. Mischa/Cecily just got 3/5 skill but no cost reduce, still at -1, meh. Alisa got a cost reduce to -2 but no skill up (still 2/5). I also got both my bronze mages to 24 cost which was helpful :p Kind of sad nothing spectacular happened, but I guess it's to be expected with only 200 spins.

At least it was a decent upgrade to some units. I think the -1 Alisa/Physlis cost was my favorite. The bronze mages may help for a while too. Just wish I'd have gotten Mischa/Cecily reduced too.

And a new red gem daily come, well it's the last maps from warrior of the west.
get 7 gem from the first one and 10 gems from the second, you need HP tank (def is useless) and physical ranged (magic is useless).

Just remember everybody that the new event starts in 14 and a halfish hours from now, so don't use up much stamina/charisma on this or you won't have any for the event.

Wow 6 stamina cost? It's joking... Even if it drops a ton of red gems, it's not like I can get to the 70 I need from the 5 I have currently. Bluh I want the 3 stars though but those costs are ludicrous. There's even a higher version with 8 stamina cost. I'd assume that they're pretty difficult for those costs as well.

Mmmm 3 stars them on first try but well... don't waste your stam on them unless you have 2 very strong healers, 2 good tanks and 2 ranged physic.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Actually... LoW isn't bad at all in my opinion because with enough allies/friends you can click your way through to victory. In fact, none of the others (including TTT and the hypnosis one, whatever it is) are difficult because once you have consistent logins via either active friends or automation, things become stupidly easy.

The latter bit on the significant other is actually coming from the significant other's PoV, where I watched some very talented (and bored) medical students turn what should be a hard, hard grind into a simple cakewalk into the park. Ditto with this thing here. We were mostly looking for things that we could play for very short bursts (where traditional games falls flat - even a League of Legends round takes ~45 minutes, which is simply too long for most of our schedules), and Aigis' gameplay is solid enough within it genre. It's got the added benefit of having a degree of permanence to its system.

Nice work on the guide. I have one final comment: might be a good idea (given that people tend to sign up on events) to figure out some kind of "dos and don'ts" - i.e. Don't eat the guy silver mage. Don't eat your witches. 3 crystal gacha is a trap unless you actually just want gold units, etc. I doubt there's going to be time to translate all of the wiki, but a stopgap might be nice. :p

@FruitSmoothie
3% is normal, the 6% rate is from the old wiki. Ragnelle mentioned the 3% rate as well. Your silver drops weren't bad at all, especially with the cost down/skill up guarantees. (Those should always always be aimmed for)
They make little difference by themselves, but they stack when you are rolling around with a party. Often equaling to more than 5 seconds worth of cost reduction within the first 30 seconds. (I am over 10 seconds if I use my low costs silvers)

Just remember everybody that the new event starts in 14 and a halfish hours from now, so don't use up much stamina/charisma on this or you won't have any for the event.
*looks at empty charisma/stamina*
Kinda late, I want those goddess crystal as much as you xD

@Ragnelle

That's true, one of the things that Aegis is missing due to the obvious single player game genre. But I still recall LoW requires the gacha weapon and SSR++ for end game pvp.

Ditto with this thing here. We were mostly looking for things that we could play for very short bursts
Afk botting or not map completion does have it's advantage. And the challenge maps are engaging (unless you marathoned over 170 runs like me), that strikes a pretty nice balance in my mind. Which is why I am playing it

Thank you, Will keep that in mind, it's the tips & unit guide that needs to be work on. Probably rephrasing some of Ashurmen's guides which I used when I started.
Do you have anything specific you want to add to the guide? I don't mind giving you the link on Google docs. (Just becareful of the BB Code formatting)

@Ashurmen
I will need to try the new dailies, thanks for the tips.
2 very strong healers, 2 good tanks and 2 ranged physic.
Screw the above, I have a 50CC->30 100% affection Nanaly. Everything is gonna die. (And a soma-chan on top of that)

CC Bashira + CC Nanaly, ahaha, a lot of things are gonna die horribly today. *fp*

A official community's lucky bastard just killed a cat:
Someone rolled 5 premium Gacha got got the following.
Melphis, Carry, Nanaly, Nanaly, Despia (the cat was dead)

I rolled a premium gacha because I was jealous.
*Insert silver man unit here*
Yup, silver man unit got. Within an event with increased girls drop rate. (Though: Fruit is gonna kill me since it's Valerie, but I doubt even Fruit would want a valerie from a premium gacha)
*jumps out of a building*
PS: Apparently after getting a huge bank of 3 million gold, the first thing I do after I get up is... rural gates~!

Update: Medium Level was easy, Nanaly has raped everything. *Including overkilling the dying*
Update 2: Wow, quickshot Rachel is so much broken.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

1 Silver, 3 Gold (4 rolls for you)
4 Silver, 1 Gold (5 rolls today for me)

Now let me think, who's luck do I want to have? Hey Petite, want to trade luck for a day?
You wouldn't want my luck; most of the units I draw tend to be silver from the premium summoning. The only non-event platinum unit I got was Adelle (Hina and Lilia were drawn during events that increased their appearance rate). Unless your luck is so terrible that you had to brute force your way to all of your nice units by purchasing enough sacred crystals to cover the amount WankoP (The producer responsible for the characters and system used for Aegis) had to spend to have Wazakita do 3 illustrations.

Actually, I did 200 base summons, and the first 100 gave the following:
1 Silver Soldier Phillis <-immediately useful
1 Silver Rogue Cecily <-taking up space
1 Silver Bandit Mortimer <-wish I got him earlier for Hina
1 Silver Bandit Funes <-replacement for the Funes I fed to Hina
1 Silver Healer Alisa <-another dilemma inducer
1 Silver Soldier Graves <-taking up space for now

The latter 100 base summons gave *zip*. Though, gaining another Alisa makes me wonder if I should 30CC Fedora, and then feed her to Melphis (really depends on whether or not I can find maps with meta situations that benefit heavily from Fedora's skill).

The only issue with me summoning Berenice is that I now have to decide whether to use my male silver armour to 50CC her, or 30CC my silver dragonkin/dragonewt so I can feed it to Hina (Basically a repeat of the Valerie to CC Adelle or Melphis first dilemma I had a long time ago). If I get Hina to lvl 50, she can deal 500 damage per strike with her skill activated at 2/5 with the Prince's buff. Right now, Hina has the highest dps out of all of my units without considering the fact that she also has a ranged attack. She can solo Rural Gate with absolutely nothing capable of walking past her, and she turns the blue jellies during today's daily event into a lifetime supply pile of pudding skin singles. Basically, I'm going to depend on her until I can summon a better valkyrie, bandit, or rogue with a much higher dps.

Dragonpaladin said:
Update 4: To celebrate, I rolled a rare gacha. (was at 4 goddess crystal) and got the silver male healer. ... should I be happy or sad?
My very first premium summon was the male silver healer Christopher, and this is a perfect illustration of my reaction:

My very first premium summon was the male silver healer Christopher, and this is a perfect illustration of my reaction:
Petite your short mangas are awesome.

My reaction is even more extreme.
Christopher: "Let me heal your wounds."
Prince: "..."
Christopher: "Prince?"
*toss Christopher into Class Change Furnace*
Anna: "Congratulations Prince, Fedora has been 30CCed"
Prince: "Hell yeah, now to get 100% cost down, 100% skill up bonus!"

PS: Currently Anna is on Honeymoon with Prince, since she no longer need to worry about all that money disappearing to get a new girl in the harem. Apparently, the last 50 gacha rolls netted me no silver, so yeah.

Unless your luck is so terrible that you had to brute force your way to all of your nice units
I purchased enough premium crystals and did enough premium summons where according to % alone, Goddess Aegis still owe me a black unit. She isn't giving it to me either, just handing me useless platinum that I don't have a copy of.

The only issue with me summoning Berenice is that I now have to decide whether to use my male silver armour to 50CC her, or 30CC my silver dragonkin/dragonewt so I can feed it to Hina
Depends on your Rean, if your Rean is doing your tanking properly, then feed it to Hina, if not you will need Berenice since Berenice is still noticeably better than Rean in the defense department.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

@DP:

LoW is one of the best examples of its genre. You can play basically in two ways: throw money at it or have very active allies. Yes, you're right in that the super good stuff needs cash, but that makes sense from their business perspective. LoW has a competitive element built in, and the necessity of P2P only comes into place if the player absolutely must seek validation through beating others in some sort of virtual rank-based setting. That's why P2P is popular, and that's why AIGIS (again) is an oddity. Even Kantai Collection - the greatest example of a runaway hit Japanese product - has PVP, and without PVP AIGIS will never attract the type of players that can drop hundreds of thousands of yen at a time to stay on top of the rankings.

The game I'm thinking of comparing AIGIS to are games on par with the cat-samurai thing I mentioned previously, or games like Fairy Fantasia, where they're really much more casual in nature.

Unless you get hooked in by the neta, that is, and just like certain characters. Unlike our browser-based players Asian players (as a whole) often builds hilariously intricate systems of nicknames and relationships and expands the universe on their own. It's why Touhou (and now Kantai Collection) have rapidly became runaway hits.

The dev team of AIGIS was part of an interview of various browser-based games (on Amazon.jp, too, out of all places), and mentioned specifically that they were hoping to enter a niche that's untapped. Supposedly they went out with the paradigm that they wanted to benefit their players and have a game that's minimally grindy while still fun - in sum, an actual game.

That was their vision when the game first came out. Their earlier events were nice and friendly (based on forum anecdote and observations). My guess - entirely conjecture - is that they're not a particularly experienced group, and have little idea as to how to actually run events. When people complained that there's no challenge, they started popping out harder events. Ninja Saki is one example where you can basically get her for ~55 crystals, which was far too high for the vast majority of the playerbase unless they were throwing money at it. he power parity is such that the samurai really isn't worth getting when comparing to Saki.

The next event with the Paladin girl had so many hilarious glitches I don't even know where to begin. For instance, she dropped very, very often on stage 3 after their first maintenance/hotfix, and enterprising players quickly took advantage of the situation - including some of my friends who introduced me to the game. By the time they figured things out and hotfixed a second time, there are people sitting on 70+ copies of her who will never have to worry about feeding cards ever again.

That's why I personally have zero qualms about "exploiting"/automating most of the game. They're asking for it due to terrible design and lack of QC, people are doing it, and it really doesn't hurt anyone else because there's no PVP. Testing out new characters is fun. Playing new maps is fun. Pulling the 2k gacha is fun (though, again, I automate the card-pulling because I'd rather not click 2000 times). Farming rural gates so I can feed my characters isn't. I have a program that does that for me.

I don't mind sharing, so if you ever don't feel like running those marathons, send me a PM.

If I was offering new players tips: (lots of these overlap with wisdom already present)

At the absolute beginning of the game, never "eat" your silver units. Eating refers to the act of sacrificing one of your units so your other units can gain EXP, as shown in the second menu. Many of them are actually quite viable. If you have to eat them, at least use fairies and pump up their level to ~21 or so because higher level units yield more experience.

Fairies give 2x bonus corresponding to the proper fairy rarity.

Cardinal rule of the game: raise who you like. There's plenty of hilarious builds out there (all dragon soldiers, all bandits, you get the idea).

Take things slow.

Do not, under any circumstance, eat Valéry or Calliope.

Cavaliers Valkyries and bandits are best sources of EXP food because the former gives more EXP/per level AND only promotes other Valkyries. Bandits has the second lowest number of useful promotions, hence why they're appropriate.

If possible, save at least one copy of each silver unit for class changes. CC refers to class change. Think of Fire Emblem - in FE you can class change at 10 but you lose out on stats. Same thing here. Characters CC at level 30, but can go up to level 50. Rule of thumb is to 50CC anything silver+. Don't go for a 50CC on silver unless you're a completionist. There are perks to having an early CC if it means you can get through an event vs. none.

For silvers, if you don't have any characters you actually like, go for CC'd healer, tank (soldier or heavy armor), and mage as your first priorities.

Crystal-based gacha spins are very, very bad. It's AIGIS's most ingenious trap. Unless you feel extremely lucky, don't care, or is throwing money at AIGIS, save your crystals for refills, boosts (especially event-specific boosts) and card slots. In particular, the 3-crystal spin is one of the most hilariously inefficient spins out there, and is only statistically good if you only want to get gold units.

Non-tip related things:

Drops are pre-determined based on when you load in. Mobs will drop the same item consistently - eg. in aerial battle the last mob will always drop a fairy if you "rolled" a fairy for the stage. The 8th mob's always a gem, etc.
