Spica is one of those top tier units, i think strongest of the plat archers, even before AW,
she has a boost to all archer dmg AW ability (7%) so it benefits her and the rest of your archers if you do AW

i think the wiki is saying that she has a higher attack speed or something than other archers, along with her having the hardest hit for plat archers, her dps is black level comparible to nunnally (if you don't count nunally's skill)
I think you should count nunally's skill and any of the archers that have at least triple shot or better seeing as that gives you 3-4x your dmg for a few seconds. That burst dmg seems really helpful for killing bosses and pesky enemies that have high dmg at least from videos I saw.

But Spica is free and can at least manage 2/3 or half the dps of an archer with triple or quad shot respectively using her skill so Id get her if you don't have a bunch of those better archers or if you really care about the 7% boost she gives.

You can lvl Spica skill with silver archer Lauren (elf one) instead of using fairies. He drops sometimes on events. Spica is also easy to max cost reduce, since she can be min -12 cost. She has awesome dps and give's other archer + 7% dps. Thats a lot. And for sure using sacred crystals for refills to get her will be much cheaper than premium summon.

ps. 2x Samurai raised my AW Bernice 1 --> 55 lvl ! Love

No, it's the opposite. If you have Nanaly, Bashira, Victoria, or Claire, then Spica is a must-have unit. Not getting her is the worst decision you could make. The only reason not to get Spica is if you're going for a pirate or vampire hunter team (the former would ideally consist of Anelia and Minerva/Rachel/Beatrica). Spica's awaken ability bonus increased my Nanaly's damage output so much that it's a WAY better idea to awaken Spica before Nanaly than it is to awaken Nanaly first (it takes her a while to rehabilitate her attack and a CC80 Nanaly with Artemis Spica has the same attack as a moderately leveled Artemis Nanaly).

Without any other buffs, my AW99 Nanaly deals 41 more damage per shot thanks to Spica, which is 164 more damage per quad shot. More importantly, since Nanaly is dealing 637 without the Prince, I can just deploy Nanaly and have her 1-shot garbage blue goblins right from the start of some maps. Since most boss enemies that I would want to burst-kill have 300-500DF, anything gained beyond their defence line is a really big deal for characters like Bashira and Nanaly.

Finally, quad and triple shot are wasteful; it's not like the game is constantly throwing out enemies with the right amount of HP where someone like Nanaly is using every arrow to its fullest potential. When I first had Nanaly as a sniper, it was during the Ada event which had high defence werewolves and wolves with low HP. Nanaly's skill was over-killing the wolves by twice their HP, and barely doing any damage to the werewolves that were best left to my witches. Spica, on the other hand, was two-hitting the wolves quickly with a much farther reach, and puncturing through the werewolves' hides to help my witches, making it so I can finish the map in a much more expedient manner. Victoria wouldn't be performing much better on that map unless you level her up to somehow reach the 1-shot threshold against the wolves with her skill.

Umm all these events with god /extreme tier maps that throw multiple bosses or just enemies with a good amount of hp and dmg like dragon newt kings or mummies or vampires especially since they paralyze your tank? Id love to have a triple or quad shot archer to put those things down fast so I could actually beat those maps.

I went crazy and used all the crystals I was saving. I did high, mid and 1 stamina challenge for a total of 50 crystals =

1031 red crystals
55 bouquets
21 silver fairies

Now I just hope the next event is with stars so I can start saving again.

Staff News Report:
-1,000,000 Registered Users Event Scheduled Sometime This January.
-Daily Mission Drop 1.5 Bonus Ends at 23:59 (Didn't see this in the last report).

Impressed this game broke one million registered users (I wonder what percentage of these accounts are from people start scumming for black units). They broke 500,000 registered users back in September, which was celebrated with the 4th Gold Rush and New Story Missions.

Also, pointing out the latter bullet point since I accidentally looked over it during the previous Upcoming Maintenance Report. I already farmed up to 616 magic crystals from 200, which I think is enough to last me for any awakenings unless they have a new platinum unit in the trading post that I may want like a Youko class character.

@clavat_k If the AW ability doesn't mention anything about skill use, you can assume it's permanently active.

This new unit appeals to my love of bike shorts.

Also seems in short: Magic Fencer/Assassins/Valks//black units got a buff, nice.

At 50/60/50 my Betty has 1306 hp now, nearly already at her old max hp of 1323 at 50/60/80. Attack is 498 atm with her old max being 502 already. Seems a pretty significant buff to rogues unless their leveling stat progression slows dramatically at this point. Hey, maybe there's a reason to use her outside of my farming roster. She should be able to 1 shot goblins on rural now for whatever that's worth.


3rd event map is ranged only and I think earlier maps don't allow HA's to be used, so watch for that, lots of unit limitations in this event. Yeah no healer on 4th map, ffffffff, I shoulda brought Rikka. Glad I brought Meme and Anya. 3 star'd em all blind up till 6th map, waiting on videos for the final/bonus. Limit maps suck to blind run x.x Magic Crystal 1 x1, silver fencer, plat fairy and Emilia drop on 4th map, niceee.

She has Maribelle's ability, double attack and defense briefly. Level 1 is 10 seconds. I'm okay with this, she can cover for my Carry's slow attack speed. I like her. You can deploy her just for her ability, retreat her and get most her cost back to place a more stable unit. She seems pretty versatile. Can't tell what her AW ability is yet, something "Shield of Miracle" so maybe it's a defensive thing.

Well, I'm happy to have Arch Witch Adelle. Her ability is now 10% HP for everyone instead of 6%. That's a huge boost.

Oh my bad, I read that as they were giving CC'd valks partial retreat refund and nerfing AW'd valks down to 80%. I'm terrible at remembering the exact class names for each upgraded class. Pretty cool that they're giving partial refund to all valks now. Kind of odd, I never thought of valks as underpowered.

I'm more excited about the rogue and magic fencer buff even though I use them less. I mean the reason I used them less is because they were kind of bad lol. The rogue buff is really noticeable and now there might be a reason to AW Charlotte instead of just sticking to Rikka and ninjas. That 50% ranged attack damage didn't do much for me on Charlotte.

Now I hope they take a look at pirates, or maybe more specifically Monica. Her extra attack and range really don't make up for her massive attack speed penalty in my opinion. Not as bad as rogues were, but hey, they buffed valks. Well because of Spica, I will probably never have a reason to use her over Claire on my main team anyways.

Marle skill now also buff her atk at Skill 3/5 by 1.4 and is like 3 shorter with 5 WT more, her speed seems is equal to a normal healer or maybe a little slower.

I like Emelia but her stats are really low more than a silver valk I just hope the affection bonus is +120atk and not +60

Valerie's sprite was updated. I always thought he looked like a birdman because the hair protruding from the hood looked like a beak. Much better sprite now.

So Betty stole Maribelle's ability and a horse and then turned into a valkyrie. I liked Betty's AW art and Emilia's art here looks nice. Why must they tempt me every time a new event girl comes out. It looked like she might fill a physical DPS shaped hole that could be filled by either Emilia or Imelia lol

Wiki already has new girl's max stats:

HP: 2366
Attack: 504 (600 with 19% from Prince)
Defense: 330 (393 with 19% from Prince)

So she can temporarily reach 1200 attack and a bit under 800 defense. On a valk that has exceptional attack speed, not bad.

Hmm, just noticed Petite posted her AW ability too, dammit, 10% to nullify. My hopes are dashed, I might not AW her after all. Well I do need the healers on the map, probably will farm her just for that reason.

Emilia's CC stats aren't great, but her skill alone should make up for it. Her attack speed appears the same as Mischa from the short test I did. Both were pre-CC. I thought it might be faster because she's similar to Maribelle. She's also 1 cost lower compared to Valkyries of the same grade at max cost reduction so that's one plus. I'll give her a chance because I like her art and the skill she has is amazing.

So after a bit of a hiatus, I've been playing Aegis non stop starting from the gold rush event. Now I'm aiming for my first awakening unit, Betty. The only problem is when I tried the awakening orb map on Wednesday I just got smashed. I was wondering if any one had any tips for those maps?
