Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

One of the reasons why I want to get her to level 80 is so that there is less pressure to "complete" her. When I got most of my gold units and Jelius to their max CC level, I felt glad because I can move on to another unit without worrying if they're missing any potential (aside from awakening). If I get her to level 80 immediately, then she will always be ready for awakening whenever I need to do it.

The units that are high in priority for awakening are Aria and Belinda.

Aria requires:
Level 46
2 platinum armors

Belinda requires:
1 platinum event unit and 2 platinum armors -or- 3 platinum armors
3 silver witches*

Two platinum armors won't take long to obtain so I don't mind using all of the platinum armors I have right now on Liana for now. I will be able to obtain an awakening fairy on Thursday (need 13 magic crystals), and I will be holding onto it for quite some time because I still have to farm for silver units. I'll probably not awaken Liana until after Aria and Belinda are awakened unless her awakening ability is really amazing. Even if those two units are high priority, it does not mean I really need them awakened as soon as possible. I can clear maps fine without their awakenings.

*I can use the recently new gold witch from the previous gold rush and Cloris as materials, but it's unlikely I'll use them for awakening.

Just wait until you see what her AW is, before you invest. Otherwise, her uses are limited to just countering tentacles, zombies and vampires. So just wait, or feed something else a tiny bit.

I might have to be away for a while so I was considering buying a tablet or something to check in on Aegis. I'm almost positive my phone can't play it (Iphone), couldn't find an app for it. Seems I need an android anywho.

I was wondering what you all use to play it mobiley? Don't want to buy something and find out I can't play Aegis with it x.x Luckily I have an Amazon gift card lol.

I think i tried playing it on dmm mobile once on my tablet (samsung) but didnt work (probably needed to set time to japan time but didnt bother) i had to download some app then download the game to launch, successfully got the app up though, just had the 00 error when trying to enter the game (same message as trying to play computer version with a non-Japan time set)

I don't own a mobile or tablet, so I'm just going to regurgitate information that the Japanese community says about Android usage.

Download this App:

Android 5 isn't supported, and likely to not work. Other than that, you want one that is Android 4.0 or better with 1Ghz+ CPU, 1GB+ Memory, and a type that you can install stuff on.

This game is memory intensive, so if it's forcibly closing while in the middle of a game, then you need to free up memory by uninstalling as many things as possible that are unnecessary.

You may also need to make your age public in your profile, otherwise you'll probably receive 101 communication errors. It might take 1~2 hours before the change to your profile takes effect. Under your username, go to "設定 / 禁止リスト", Click "プロフィール編集", and then click "編集" to the right of "年齢" and set it to "公開する".

EDIT:
Decided to try the "Monster-infested Island" Subjugation Mission basing my strategy on this one by (I switched out Yurina for High Princess Lilia), and got 500 kills on my first try (I may be able to afk farm this map).

Thanks, going to save this post to error check before I freak out if something doesn't work :p Still not sure which type to buy yet, guess I'll figure that out tomorow or something.

I'd like to know exactly what tablets some people use to avoid any potential problems if possible. I was thinking the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7 inch or maybe 10.). Seems to have the specifications you mentioned and doesn't use 5.0. For the cost of the 10, I think there might be better options though. Just worried because it seems like most the newer stuff uses 5.0. Wonder why they don't just add support for 5.0.

Samsung Galaxy tab 3, 8 inches.

Aegis worked just fine until I switched for the phone (4,3 inches ) and now I can't play via tablet cos everything it's too big D:

I would not reccomend 10 inches cos of that. Also, my mother got 10 inch galaxy tab 3 for being good worker so I used it for a while. It is too freaking big and cos of that - very Heavy. It may not be the issue but next info can: I couldn't install the all the games I had on 8 due to not being compatibile. Trouble was because of this big screen so before buying make sure someone has installed aegis there. I can't check this bevore Easter, sorry.

I wanted to tell you all the specyfications Petite mentioned.

Ps. How you want to connect to the internet ?
you have two ways:
1. Use WiFi
2. Use SIM card with internet

If you want option 2 then make sure to buy tab with socket for it . Unfortunately they are more expensive than normal ones. But with your iPhone you can always share your net via router WiFi from it.

Samsung tabs are one of the best here in Poland.

Playing on HTC Desire 510 with Kitkat (4.4). It has 1 GB Ram and I occasionally experience the crash (not too often). I never needed to change anything about my age, but maybe it was public since I have registered...

Not sure, what is downloaded via Petite link, but I don't think you can install Aegis app directly anymore. You need to install DMM App store, and d/l Aegis from it.

If you plan to play on mobile connection, the transfer consumed isn't that big. I use less than 1 MB a day. This can obviously spike if you perform an update over mobile connection.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

does anyone know of sure if the english aegis is going to have exclusive characters? I think I might try to play both if it is being able to read the dialogue without learning japanese is kind of nice too.

I just tested aegis on my dirt cheap phone kyocera hydro from virgin mobile seems to work fine I completed the burning oasis farm spot. Though I'm not sure if I should recommend virgin mobile since it seems like their website lied to me said my area should have a good connection but I always have 1 bar or less here though my calls don't really drop that often. I think I would need a stylish to play aegis on the phone kind of weird for me to move things with my fingers.

No, that black heavy armour I posted was introduced during the live broadcast on nicovideo along with a slew of other characters that are going to appear in the Japanese version. The speculation was that they created her specifically so that Dina could be replaced with her in the English version, and that they're going to narrow down the types of characters they introduce in the future so that they're all compatible.

Basically, the speculation was like this:
Japanese: Dina and Dina's Big Sister
English: Dina's Big Sister

You're going to get less characters in the English version.

Thank you for all the information on the exact devices you use, that'll be helpful. I'm curious if the people mentioning they had trouble with the 5.0 version Petite mentioned actually got it to work better? I read someone say if you spam the button to play, it eventually lets you, how's that going? Lol

So what if, lich is just a really scared wimp that just casts magic at anything that jumps out at him. Considering the prince uses some kind instant teleportation for his deployment the lich's just having one big heart attack and hitting anything he sees with magic

I see I think I'd actually rather just eventually learn japanese instead of remaking my account to a decent lvl on the english version then. missing characters sucks

I'll be pretty upset if they start censoring the Jap version more. I guess we won't really notice though unless they edit current girls.

Seems odd to me that a Japanese company might allow censorship laws from another region to control their own content though. I'd think the weight of censoring things Nutaku doesn't find appropriate for their audience would be put on Nutaku instead. If they want to cancel/edit units, shouldn't they have to deal with that by hiring new artists or something, rather than forcing the Japanese game devs to accommodate their rules?

Getting two regions censorship laws at once just seems horrible. I feel like there'd be a pretty major backlash for the Jap devs too if they did that. Let's hope that speculation is proven false.

globalization is a wonderfull thing eh?
the truth is that they get more by making the game acceptable all around the world.
also on the LOV thread we already got a image of a loli chartacter edited so it doesnt breaks any laws.

its possible that we might get Dina just that she will be editted to the point she no longer is a problem. (main reason why the game was being delayed so much)

The mosaics you see aren't there because Japanese censorship laws say they need to use them. Japan has vague obscenity laws, which are arbitrarily enforced by the police. What DMM and every other Japanese creators do are based on self-imposed guidelines that are used in a futile attempt to give the illusion that they're complying with the police by regulating themselves.

I linked to it earlier, but Dan Kanemitsu's blog has English-language articles on the subject of this self-censorship: (There's a lot, so this )

It's not odd for a Japanese company to allow foreigners to influence their own self-censorship since the whole thing is based on fear. That's what happened with the whole Rapelay thing which led to a lot of Japanese creators reacting foolishly because they were afraid that the foreign pressure would cause the police to arbitrarily decide to go after them since they brought shame upon their country.

Was there any backlash against Illusion in Japan itself? I thought they just needed to pull Rapelay from foreign markets.

Ah yeah, I've read about their censorship silliness before, so i mostly understand it. Saying "Laws" was just quicker than saying "Laws, and silly self imposed censorship because their actual laws are vague and ridiculous." :p

I didn't follow much with the Rapelay thing, I'll have to look that up sometime. I know it's still an issue on these forums.
