Hey, it's a strategy game! We get to choose how we approach an encounter. The bonus is that we get to choose who we like to use, compared to RTS games, where efficiency is an important thing.

The zombie dragon isn't that difficult to fight, so I see nothing wrong with tanking it. There are people that choose to tank the Incomplete Mithril Golem because they can, while others will kill it from the distance. The hardcore will tank the Completed Mithril Golem, just because they can and they have what it takes ($$$) to do it. You're not limited to one set of strategies or deployment orders, and that's why we play this game, unless you're only just playing for the HCGs.

I see nothing wrong with tanking it.
You're not limited to one set of strategies or deployment orders

Like I said before, any boss without at least 1k defense are just food.

Also, Serra is definitely one of the best lich tankers in game due to skill length. (That shield activates against magical attack as well, she's got good hp bank, so healer + Serra apparently can tank 2~3 liches, including 2 lich + 2nd boss no problem)

+ with that set up i'm pretty sure that leone have 2k+ atk -.- even 1k def not gonna help that zombie.

For Serra being the best lich tanker, well 50% chance to nulify and 15 MR of coz i agree with you here and most of all even she got hit she can just self heal herself

I didn't realize she can do that for magical attacks as well. Serra was already next in line for my AW queue, since I just awakened Kagura earlier today, and I'm glad she turned out to be very good. I'll have to get her skill to 10/10 though, so it will be a while before I can get her AW skill.

Always making me jealous with your Uzume. I'll admit that if I had the same units as you, I'll always go with that strategy because it works too well. I'm not insulted either because I think it's funny how they let you break the game with certain combination of units. You need to add Charles to the mix for a global def reduction.

If there's one unit I'll wait for to be given a chance-up, it is Uzume since it's more likely I'll get a Platinum than it is to get a Black from Premium Summons.

Sorry about that! I did say most people have her. At least there should be an opportunity in the future to get her when Anya's event is back and the free SC for the month should help you get her.

Leone is indeed 7x shot, but her attack is only at 1.45kish or so. 2k isn't possible I am afraid, not enough multiplier even if I do have the black shaman that gives +7% attack.
In terms of multi-hit magic attacker, I haven't seen one yet, in fact I haven't even seen the double attack version of mages.

It's probably because some skills are limited to specific unit types.
Expand area (mage/gunner), multi-hit (archer), quick shot (pirate), desperation (bandit) for example. There's multiple unit with them, but they are limited in roles.

You need to add Charles to the mix for a global def reduction.

I tried to get her and failed. Same with the black soldier ._.

Also, Leone was a failed by product of trying to get the platinum dragon rider. *le sigh* still don't have that plat dragon rider. But I gotta say, Synergy between uzume/dancer and Nanaly/Leone/Ninjas is ridiculously good.

I felt the same way against Ashurmen until I get my own. Good luck! Uzume is definitely a game changed when stacked with a dancer. (otoh, don't AW her skill, it's just worse outside of subjugation missions)

My bad. I should've stated it was a partial setup since that part was specifically about fighting the dragon itself and not about the whole mission. There's a lot more to my strategy such as units I use before the fight with the dragon.

I realized that (after first wipe when I did blind run with only your info), but from there I tried to do initial steps that would lead to your setup. Sadly I failed at that. At the end of the day I completed the mission with deploying 'frontline' on the east side, behind the dragon and nuking the beast with ranged. Unlike what Dragonpaladin suggested, I clearly do not rage at you.

Is there any reason to chose Cloris over Nenya as my first CC'd witch? Long-term Cloris would probably win out, but short-term Nenya seems like a clear winner stat-wise.

Also, do want Misha for the Nutaku version.

You need to have Serra with her Skill AW before the stated date to get the apology crystal, so it's too late.

A joke in the Japanese community is that Skill AW Serra is better than Skill AW Flamel because she gave her princes an apology crystal.

Nenya is a must-have silver unit as a Lord Witch unless you have the Gold Witch Yuyu, the Platinum Witch Belinda, or the Black Witch Despia. The reason you want Nenya is because of her low cost and attack speed for a certain awful challenge quest map (Great Magical War); she has the same attack speed as an elf. That said, Chloris is all right, but no one really uses her as their main because of the two campaigns for Plat Witch Figneria, and the events for Belinda and Eliza with Figneria and Eliza being better than Chloris as your main (Belinda is a crucial member for any witch team). I think the thing that hurts Chloris the most is that her AW Ability isn't good after the update that made it affected by enemy multipliers; she's no longer a good unit for getting a 2% instant kill on a boss opponent when all other assassins have 1% or 0.5% per hit.

(271+96)*30/56=196.60 dps
Skill: 367*1.3*30/56=255.58 (60 seconds; 1.1x Range)
Chloris (CC)
(270+108)*30/58=195.51 dps
Skill: 378*1.8*30/58=351.93 (35 seconds)
Chloris (AW)
(345+108)*30/58=234.31 dps

Nenya's attack speed is important enough that some players with higher tier Lord Witches that aren't Yuyu can't replicate strategies that use Nenya, since Nenya's speed allows her to often times get extra attacks on certain opponents before they can rush past her.

As far as Saki is concerned, she becomes really useful only after her skill AW, which is probably way in the future for you. Without it she is not that much better than other Ninjas you may have, like Nagi (who is better than her) and Azami (same skill, only slightly lower stats, but you will have her at smaller cost). Saki is in a shop for quite some time now, and nothing indicates she will be gone in the predictable future. Long story short - no rush to get her if you have other ninja. If you don't, ninjas are a useful unit, so it might be worth it to buy one copy.

I am not sure how the gem shop witch even performs, seems noone uses her. Getting min cost witches is important, but you likely want a stronger one.

At the end of the day, maybe just hold to the crystals for AW fairies?

Ether is the silver crusader (priest-warrior).

Saki is great and gets even better after skill AW. However, like some black units out there her "out of the box" toolkit isn't that special. You'll still need to invest some levels into her and some affection to get the most out of her and that might not be an option if you're still low level as those black fairies may be a bit rare for you or have someone else better to use them on.

Since you have yuyu you probably don't need to pick up ryuryu although if you want to clear a certain challenge mission you'll probably need to pick up a Nenya and min cost her somewhere down the road. Along those same lines, it's a really big gamble trying to get min CR as it all boils down to the RNG. It could be really disappointing if you only get the guaranteed -1 CR from ryuryu even after she cannibalizes some copies of herself. Watching those hard earned magic crystals disappear in a poof...well it hurts and not getting anything is an occurrence that feels far too frequent. If you like ryuryu's look though then by all means pick her up and use her.

Ether is the silver priest warrior. Priest warriors are pretty special because they take up a melee spot, but if they're not blocking anything they start to heal things in their area. The healing might not be a great amount but can be the difference in keeping a key unit alive long enough and clearing the mission or failing it. The plat event priest warrior Serra is part of my main setup now and I take her everywhere. She's saved me several times so far and even gifted me a SC since she was broken...how nice.

tl;dr Saki is a safe choice in my opinion unless you have stuff to awaken that become exceptional afterwards. Ryuryu isn't super special and maybe Eliza and Belinda come back in the near future to shore up your witches. Depending on your trigger discipline you're bound to pick up some more gold units down the line and they may be more yuyu so you can cost reduce her and just integrate her into your normal witch lineup as well. I used yuyu as my main witch until I leveled my Figneria and Adelle at which point yuyu now cheers from the 2nd barracks.

She's not bad, her skill lasts a good while once upped and she can be easily min cost since she's so cheap

She's not a sailor, she's an admiral!

In all seriousness though, I decided to just put her on hold at CR -2 3/10. I doubt I'll ever use her and I'd rather farm some dragon steaks in the hopes of getting Dina some skill ups. The drops may not be THAT good but I don't know when Anya revival event may be and any plat buckets are a plus and will feed my Saria who's almost ready for AW. I guess any more copies of her will just be food for someone in the future.

Farm event has always been like this....
If you got jinxed being unlucky... even you spend tons of SC you just unable to max stat the unit ok -5/6-9 best place to stop
The worst part is if these farmed unit are skill dependand type like this Reanbell, it become such a pain if those skill just stuck somewhere

I'm really glad her last map only cost 9 stm though unlike previous farming event where it cost 12 map + didn't petite mention they increase the drop rate too and 1st run is 100% drop.
Wonder if there any official confirmation that these new system applied on farming event will continuously applied in the future as well

PS: i hate farm event more than item collection >.< (and i read some ppl actualy love farm event cuz 1 unit in 1 week only -.-)

O well next maintenance on 20th.... free 160 magic crystal yay + hores revival again....
I wonder whats the main event they going to trow at us though, cuz i'm expecting item collection event to pop up anytime soonish
+ from that upcoming unit ilustration, which girl you want to be in the next event there still some 2h swd / axe / bow / spear / staff / (healer look like) in there

You can always awaken Reanbell and her AW ability will fix her skill duration. It will just take plenty of Rainbow Fairies to get her skill to 10/10 in preparation for Sailor Skill AW.

The 100% drop on first kill seems to be exclusive to the Platinum unit farm-type events in my point of view. It's probably a way to make the game accessible and appealing to new and returning players who were probably turned off by the drop rates and difficulty. I just doubt they will put that kind of system for every event type, and it will never happen for Gold Rush events.
