If I may be permitted to be a huge fag and speak about the game...

Violated Hero 1 was pretty open and by far the hardest of all the Violated Hero games.

The games have been steadily progressing to the easy end of the spectrum and I don't think most of their eastern fans mind. Remember a lot of eastern gamers are used to visual novel type games and eastern RPGs... which aren't really challenging.

Also, the Violated Hero series is becoming a machine for dieselmine to make money. I can tell you right now, Dieselmine is one of those companies that didn't know what they wanted to be b4. They used to release visual novels that had animations!(Pretty shitty animations but still...) The violated hero series is their cash cow so they want to milk it and release it as often as possible.

Is it reasonable to dislike a game simply for being too mediocre and disappointing? It feels weird trying to describe my feelings of not liking this game because it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. Not even bad, but okay. It's like I'm mad at this game for having the nerve to only be a 6/10 instead of a 7 or 8

I felt disappointment as well. VH2 is still the best one IMO. However, VH3 wasn't too bad for me because things got changed around and it was somewhat exciting to be playing a "different" game in certain respects, even if it involved walking down set pathways and whatnot. I just didn't like the monster girls as much as in VH2. VH4 however felt like I was playing VH3 part 2. The recycled content and mechanics were just all too obvious and I don't even think you got to make (plot) choices in that game like in VH3. I also didn't find the monster girls very appealing this time around. Oh well...

The only choices in VH4 are whether to visit Lilith's territory before her identity is revealed (scene 32 on loss) and whether to confront Sharia before recruiting all her lieutenants (scenes 33-35, alternate ending for winning).

I agree that they phoned this one in. It was a copy/paste job from VH3. Same items, simpler area layouts, no dialogue choices, pointless skill system, etc.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant. I don't recall having to make a selection at all among two or more choices that would be displayed on the screen unlike the prior games. However, at least this game doesn't force you to replay it all over again just to get any missing scenes.

I don't think there's a scene with her, except for the "extra" when you beat the game.
