Re: Bloodthirsty Idealism (Zilrax&Vyrian) GM'd by MAF
Erin woke up with a horrible pain in her back, which she quickly blamed the rocks she'd slept on for. She hadn't rested well, but she'd expended all her rage yesterday, and there was only a brief feeling of hollowness, and perhaps even despair, where before it was all masked by her rage. She sighed, laying on her side as she was, trying to think what she was going to do, calmly now that she had the chance.
She knew her temper got the worst of her, and not just yesterday. Surprising how, after a while of blowing up stuff and then not sleeping, it all didn't seem to matter all that much. None of it, really mattered. She giggled to herself for a moment, then the pain in her back made her stop abruptly. Any kind of movement today would be uncomfortable, but she could just lay there for a while longer, and while she had illusions that someone would actually care enough to go find her, she could see clearly that she was isolating herself from everyone who could have done so.
A spark of pride lit up. She didn't need them, anyways. She moved for the first time in a long time, slowly passing from her awkward resting position to a sitting one - and something rubbed on the stone behind her, something she could feel. She gasped, panicking as a hand reached behind her, trying to grasp at whatever.
It was thick, bumpy. Surprisingly soft. And she could feel her fingers probing over its shape, point at which curiosity took over fear. She'd bend backwards to watch it, but the first attempt to do so had quickly sent her gasping in pain - her body, if that was still her body, was not cooperating. She tried to stand up - it was heavy, she could feel it in her legs, but it could lift its own weight with ease. She moved around muscles she didn't have yesterday and it moved too, shifting her center of gravity with each motion. It wasn't entirely rigid, either, able to bend on its own lightly left and right, more at the base than anywhere else. She tried to pull it over to the front to see it, but it wasn't really possible when she couldn't even try to bend her neck.
She sighed. Well there was someone she could count on to help her with this. Maybe. If she hadn't pushed her away last outburst. She shook her head, amused at her own moodswings. Seemed that whenever she wasn't furious at someone else, she was disappointed with herself.
She took a few steps forward - painful, awkward, but not impossible. She rested a hand on the recently sealed entrance, pushing for her powers to unseal it - just enough to get through, though her new appendage bumped on it on the way. It was longer than she'd expected, apparently. She made her way, slowly walking, towards the house she'd left Denna in. Things looked really different when you weren't two dozen insects buzzing all over, but she wanted to at least be able to move around decently with her new thing when she got there. She still had her pride, after all, even if she was going just to ask for help. Maybe she would knock on the door instead of bursting in.
