Erin raised an eyebrow to Denna's request of a private talk. She could guess what the warrior was going to say, and she could guess she wasn't going to like it, but there wasn't much of a point in refusing to talk. Sooner or later she'd have to, might as well be now.

So she shrugged and started heading out back. "Sure, we can talk." She replied nonchalantly, not wanting to make the situation blow up before it had to.

"No idea, Krill. Anyways we'll be out back if something happens."

Denna nodded with a smile at Erin's acquiescence and followed Erin outside. Once they got out there, Denna blinked and looked at Erin with concern. "You're okay right? Tails not hurting you or anything? No other problems? It looks pretty heavy, I wouldn't want you to have back problems or anything. Maybe me and David could work out a harness or something for it if it is?"

Erin blinked. Well, concern wasn't what she'd expected at all.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thing seems to have more than enough power to hold itself... and I think it reinforced my back when shifting. It's more an annoyance to keep balance with than anything else." She rolls her eyes. "Guess I should've expected it after being so immersed in magic for so long. I guess I'm lucky it didn't mess with my head. So... what did you want to talk about? I bet you didn't ask me out here to talk tails."

"Actually, kinda did in a sense. Glad you're doing alright though.," smiles Denna, before grimacing, her tail flopping to the side.

"So I woke up with a fox tail and an audience. Evidently the folks figure fox tail means I'm a... Child of Kyubi? I dunno. My guess is they're brainwashed to obey anyone with a fox tail. I'm hopin' t' use this to try and wean em off being well, you know. It's somethin' t' do cus It's not like I can go back to the city now that I've got a hairball strapped to my butt. Plus these people need to be saved."

She looks back at her tail, grimacing a bit. "I'm hoping this thing is just your typical corruption I've heard about. And that the appearance is a big coincidence. For all I know though, maybe if y' beat a fox thing hard enough with a blade you start turning into a fox thing. If true, I'm hopin' that being a monster doesn't come with it."

She shakes her head. "But yeah, figured I'd let you know what's up when everyone start staring at me an' such."

"I hope you're right and it's not something working its way into us. I wouldn't be too surprised if it wasn't, though. Kyubi's magic could've left some sort of resonance and affected the mutations. Certainly looks like this place is prolific in tails and animal-like features."

"I guess we are stuck with these people, though I don't like that at all." She sighs and looks at Denna, giving her a wry half smile. "And now you don't even know if you'll turn into a monster or not. Well, you ever start acting like I would, I'll know it's time to put you down."

Erin stays silent for a second, lowering her head. "Let's hope it doesn't get to that." She adds, raising it. "For now, let's see how we can use this... hopefully lucky incident to our advantage. Have you tried ordering them around?"

Denna frowns and looks at Erin. "Y'ain't a monster, girl. Just need a little self control. Y' got cause t' be upset here and so y' have reason t' be mad. Might not be wise t' be so in their face about it but the feelings are fair. It's when you lash out cus of it there's a problem. And clearly y' know that's not right cus I've seen y' try and control it. Just keep practising yeah? I know you can keep a handle on it. In any case if I do become a monster, by all means stop me."

Denna blinks at the "ordering about." question and blushes slightly. "Nah I've been waiting for clothes first. It's cold.," blushes Denna, "Not really the... Order type outside mercenary stuff. I've never really been the boss cept in a fight. Never really been bossy unless someone's life is on the line. Always preferred to go with the flow."

"An if it helps any, I think y' tail looks good on you."

Erin doesn't reply to Denna's comments about her, both the look of her tail and her mental status, just looking away and fidgeting, embarrassed.

"I, ah, t-thanks." She stutters. "Though didn't say it because I care about your opinion or anything! I don't care about this stupid tail anyways." She adds, looking sideways and pouting, though it was the truth - while she did care about Denna's opinion, she hadn't said it because of that. There's a brief awkward pause, before she takes the escape Denna had so graciously provided her with.

"I do know how to run a cult, though." She says, looking back to the warrior, all business. "I wasn't in charge, but I do know more or less how it usually goes. Important bit, keep the priests on your side. You're a god, but they're the ones that decide when you stop being a god and become a heretic. I could give you a hand with the less pleasant things, I guess. Someone has to do them." She adds, shrugging.

Denna gives a smile smile at the girl's embarrassment. Boy that looked familiar. She didn't press her on it though and went with the new topic, listening to Erin's discussion. She raised an eyebrow a bit at her comment.

"Not in charge... So you were a cultist? Did that mean you were fleeing from old comrades then? Don't worry, I'm hardly going to judge over it. Not like every cult has to be unpleasent. I hope at least.," smiles Denna, before shaking her head, "Should I be concerned though? I asked before but I'd hate to have a bunch more cultists banging on our doors, so to speak."

"Still you speak the truth. I was considering the same thing, I need the priests in order to change anything. They have most of the power, both to stop any changes to Kyubi's programming, and me in general. I really don't think they think I'm a god though... Or maybe they do? I'm not certain. But in any case I won't be asking you to do anything I would not do myself. But I will accept your aide nevertheless. Just try to keep a handle on your temper okay? We need to win them over not browbeat them. We already tried that and it's obviously not working. So we need to show them that being less... Aggressive is better. I just uh... Have no idea how to do that."

Denna coughs a bit embarrassedly, looking around. "Think my first goal after pants will be seeing where the clergy stands, and where I seem to fit into this. I know how to make people feel important, good skill t' have if you want employment. See where this goes. I'll need you for, uh, magic shenanigans though, cus I dunno much about anythin."

Erin shakes her head when Denna asks about the cult she was in.

"Something like that. It was a good place, people were nice... bosses weren't." She shrugs. "Anyways, I had to get out before I was forced to do something I didn't want to do. Ironic how I ended up running into this place. I doubt I'm important enough to risk chasing me into this forest, though, that's why I came here in the first place."

"Anyhow." She frowns lightly for a moment when Denna mentions her temper, then sighs. "I'm damn well trying to keep myself under control, but it's not as simple as just choosing to do so. Can make it work to our advantage though, good cop and bad cop." She pauses for a second, tapping her chin. "Would be the best, probably. An' don't worry about asking things you wouldn't do. I got my own list of things I wouldn't do, somewhere, don't need you to worry about filtering stuff for me."

"If you want to, we can plot some schemes in the long term later on, see how those work. I got a couple ideas we can use to reinforce your position of power. Suggest you skip wearing clothes, by the way. Kyubi didn't use them, and until you gain people's trust and respect on your own you're borrowing from her. Going naked does a lot for continuity, and it's not going to cost us anything."

Denna listened to Erin's explanation, nodding. "Fair enough. Point em out if they show though, just in case yeah?"

Denna blinks a bit at Erin's talking about her temper. "Well no, I'm not saying it'll be easy. But still a good habit. You get in trouble a lot cus of that and I don't much like you gettin' hurt an in trouble. As for good bad cop... I don't think bad cops really gonna work here. It's just gonna get you in trouble and likely put me in trouble if I gotta bail you out over it. These folks interpret antagonism as an affront to their beliefs or somethin so... yeah. We'll work somethin' out."

At saying about the skipping the clothes however Denna blinks. "Um... Erin, I think Kyubi was the type t' sleep around with just about everything. So unless I wanna do that... Meh. Rather avoid such, though suspect that might cause something. I ain't borrowing any respect from her if I can avoid it. The idea is to change their views, not reinforce em."

"I'm not the one who needed bailing out last time, Denna." Replied Erin with a mischievous smile. "I'm used to trouble, in case you haven't realized. I'm perfectly fine with getting in trouble with people who who do all these things, because that gives me an excuse to cut loose." The mage shrugs, still smiling impishly.

"I have to say, however, I find it pretty interesting that you'd ask me to change who I am just for the sake of getting along with them but you wouldn't be willing to go naked. What do you think is easier of to do, hm? You want me to make an effort, you're going to have to make an effort too. Which will it be?"

"Just the time before that.," smiles Denna wryly, "We're even, but who's keepin' track? Look, the idea is to help them to stop doing this, without havin' you cut loose. I'll figure somethin out but we need only make em quit with the rape stuff. Rest isn't really that bad."

Denna frowns a bit at Erins question. "Well if you like bein' disliked I can't stop y' but I'm just sayin' it ain't gonna help the plan. I also don't think she went naked all the time, did she? Think she wore clothes just not then... But you know what? Fine. I don't think it;s gonna do much more than bombard me with requests for sex which I'll need t' find a way to weasel out of. And probably fail to and end up somehow even more pregnant or somethin'."

She sighs irritably, "Frankly have enough trouble with one or two folks lustin' after me as it is. But I'm doin' it so I expect you t' try not t' blow your top without a good reason. A really good reason, not just cus y' feel offended. Save it for if y' are attacked or somethin'."

"Then say no, Denna. That's why the word exists. And if they insist, then you're free and not drugged, so you can bash their faces in. Or let me do it. Don't just preach against rape, act. If you're going to be in charge might as well remind everyone of the advantages that obeying could have at all times, but you don't have to make it easy to get them."

"And very well. I'll hold back if I don't feel like they're going to attack me. Doesn't mean I won't challenge anyone to a fight, though, and if they accept they're free game." She pauses. That hadn't gone as she expected, since she was still losing in this scenario, but she couldn't go back now.

"Anyhow. Your fans must be missing you by now, and I bet they don't think we're just talking."

"You don't get it. I can't just plain say no, they don't get that. Not yet. Haven't y' been watching how they react to things? We were already balancing on a knife's edge as it was. Need to pick this right and the right things.," sighs Denna, "I'll figure somethin' out."

Denna nods a bit at Erin's words. "Yeah but don't kill folks if you're challenging people. Dead people don't learn lessons."

She looks over to the house and shakes her head with a chuckle. "I doubt that. They ain't completely ignorant of the world around em. Probably figuring we are just talkin' cus we ain't actin' like em yet. Either way though let's head in. Still want clothes though for when it gets cold."

Denna then headed back to the house, stretching a bit as she went with a sigh, steeling herself a bit. Being naked and being seen was one thing but being naked and ogled by an entire town as she went about was quite a different beast, despite her trying to convince herself otherwise.

Coming back, it seemed David was gone. "Welcome back, ladies. David went off to go fix your clothes up." Krill said. "As well, since you both have tails now... Would you like them tidied up?" he inquired. "Denna, your tail certainly looks like it could use a nice brushing. And Erin, your tail will need some cleaning as well to be sure. It can be hard to reach your own tail, so don't hesitate to ask for help." he announced, looking to be offering, but also suggesting that they could seek out anyone they wanted to help them clean their tails.

"I... Didn't realized tails took that much work.," blinks Denna, glancing back at her blond fox tail. "Keep my hair short to avoid all that nonsense and it getting into my eyes. Maybe I ought to... Trim my tail short too or something. Hard to do if I can't reach it though."

She sighs and takes a seat, side ways again. "Mmmf... Well I guess you can. May as well have it look nice? I mean, I don't know much about presentation or tails, but you folks seem to think this is a big deal so guess I should let you make sure it looks right. Go on then."

She hums a bit as she muses. "Must look weird to have black hair and a blond tail too heh."

"Ask for help, huh..." Well that was a rather unwelcome concept, certainly, but on something as minor as this... or perhaps because it wasn't important enough. In either case it didn't sit too well with her right now, but she pushed it away. She'd promised to at least try to get along, might as well give them a chance.

"Do you think the other priests would be willing?" She asks, biting her lip. "They might find it insulting..."

She wasn't asking just out of curiosity - if the other priests were willing, it might very well be a good chance to show that she trusted the other priests, even when that wasn't actually true. After all, she would be letting them work very close by, and with her back to them.

"Not at all! It actually looks appropriate! Maybe your ears will come in next?" Krill waved off her concerns that it looked weird, before looking to Erin's concerns. "I'm sure that, as the friend of our new leader, the priests won't mind helping you with your tail. But that's an interesting choice. Why the priests? Anyone would be glad to help wash your tail, Erin." Krill said to her.

"Whenever you two get ready for your baths, you can even just wash each others tails. It doesn't matter, truly. We're just willing to help, you know?" Krill reminded them, before looking to his wife, apparently the wind was throwing up a fuss and such caused him to go outside and help her hang the wet clothes and take down the dry ones, leaving Erin and Denna alone in the house with only the goblin, who was standing in a corner, shaking slightly as if nervous, while staring up at the two nude women silently. If they looked at him, he'd give a small little grin, but would wince in fear if they sneered at him.

"Mostly, because I got the feeling we didn't really... get along well. Lira, for example, doesn't seem to really like me, so I thought it'd be a good way of showing... That I trust them, I guess, and maybe give us something to bond together over..." The words drift off slightly. "I'd rather not have inner tensions if we're going to have to stick together for a long while."
