Re: Akabur Games
There's a weird collective attitude about it. Dahr sent out a message this morning about just how damn close his Patreon is to $1,000, as if it was a goal to be reached, even though there are no reward levels or product improvements, e.g., "Additional Scenes" or "Extra Dungeons" on his page. I imagine it's just an instinctive liking for round numbers as milestones, but I wonder if they realize that all they're saying is, "let's work together to give me more money!"
The thing about this is that he tends to present things of this sort like he's doing you a favor, or else that his intentions are nothing but neutral. Like how he gets down on fans who stop donating or donate very little in his videos and then goes "lol j/k".heh, got an group (private) message from akabur. I didn't update my pledge settings (because there is NOTHING to change, I didn't screw up), so the poor fella never recieved my pledge for last month. Well at the moment I don't really care. If he doesn't recieve my pledge because patreon doesn't take it this month, I can't say I have a big loss. I wish I could see how much I have pledged to him in total so I can slap it in his face and say "Here, look what I payed for almost 2 years and a half finished game".
