It seems like it would since it pretty much replaces the entire data folder.

Yep, you would basically be downgrading the game version to the one of the patch so don't do it.

Add this save and the other file to your game directory and DO NOT LOAD IT, it will crash the game. Go to the gallery (book in the second floor at her house) with any other save and it should be fully unlocked

Anyone knows how to get the maid dress scene? I've seen it in the gallery but I can't find it ingame

Why bother with a new partial if the game is not significantly more complete? Wait for a few more updates, then bug yariel and yugifan.

Seeking confirmation of the next update. I noticed a while back that he's put up V2.03 on DLSite. So is (presumably) 2.04 going to be a bugfix or is there anything new going into it?

the way I understand the most recent post on his blog (my Kanji-Fu level is "lobtomized chimp" though...) the arena stage is nearly complete and will be implemented soon-ish. So yeah, maybe wait for that one.

Based on machine translations he's working on it some more. He is working on the end, but doesn't know when it'll finish. He is also working on some new quests for epic armor. He doesn't know when he will finish the arena area, and in Ver. 3 he will raise the level cap to 120.

Great news. Details: in the 7/4 entry, he says he's approaching the end of development for Lolique, and is working on it every day. He plans to complete the arena before 7/27, call it Version 3 and raise the level cap to 120.

He says he's making progress on the "Another Mode" which is a secret (he wants to surprise us, I assume). He's also making a subquest which is almost done, he just needs to add a new system. He's adding the item 武具錬金 as depicted here:

Ah, I was starting to wonder, this game didn't seem complete when playing it. I've got a question though, when you buy something from DLsite and then the creator upgrades it, do you have to repurchase the new version?

Not if you buy it as a registered DLsite member. That is, if you have an account. You can download the game as many times as you want and upgrades are free.
