Ah, wait. Managed to get the Archer girl captured. Maybe the feature turns on after you capture the nearest pink fortress?

Captives can escape on their own if your jail level is too low (if I'm not mistaken, lv 2 jail is basically for preventing captives escaping)

A bit higher then enemy thieves can't even break them out either.

EDIT: After playing the demo, wow the new king system is a lot more lenient.

Essentially he has a desire demanding certain amount of girls, which start at 4 in the demo.
Having max level of the building to satisfy him will allows up to 7 girls and something about 3 times (maybe take 3 times longer before he demands more?)

I finished conquering my corner of the map, try letting the girls get raped to see this new captive system, and it still took quite a long time before his demand increases to 5.
(Btw, essentially the new system is that if a NTR enemy is in town, there'll be heart marks flying above that town, and if there's a scene there'll be HELP!! shout from the town)

The A.I. still need a few fixs i barly got attack even on platuim diff, but it did up the rest of the A.I.

Range/magic is still OP like the 1st game.

For capture / cg i think somone say girls do not get Cg even they are capture that because they have not switch sides hope he make changed on this 1.

Possibly.
I mean the demo let you go up to lv 4 building with 7 girls, but in the harem menu there's as many spaces as 12-13 for the row so it's not guaranteed, but there's hope.
One possibility is that he'll gather however many he needs while going around towns until he's got his fill, which means with enough town in between he won't grab your girls even if his desire surpass the amount possible for one town.
Another, and probably easier to do, is if the king's desire never go above whatever is the max level building can offer so build 1-2 max level building and you're done with him.

The dev explained that he simply want to sire children, and not that he's actively trying to screw you over, so satisfy his desire and he won't cause trouble either.
Although for completionist there's scenes for girls in his harem so yeah (I don't think he'll grab any of the non-heroines though, so for example the mage trio shouldn't be sacrifice-able even if you try to shove them there)

The only thing really confirmed as far as H content goes is the 8 girls total that can get NTR'd with the 8 windows in the captive screen (with one of the dev screenshot showcasing all 8) and that they have 'like' stat in their status menu.

EDIT: One thing to note is that he can still move around even if he's sitting on a town that satisfies his desire.
In my run (while preparing to capture the pink fort) the king move from his tower to a town, and after a while move back to his tower (which shows 2/4 on the harem screen, but when I checked inside there's still girls, so the number probably show how many girls can the king's current location offers rather than how many girls he has in the harem, leaning towards my first idea that he just grab however many he want as he pass by towns)
I sent one guy to upgrade the building at said tower location and the king have remained there by the time I stopped playing the demo.

Probably won't be the case. I mean, if this is the maker's way to avoid stalling tactics, it'd make sense for the king to demand more girls to his harem as game time progresses. It'll probably cap at some point, probably more than 10.

He does demands more girl as time passes (in demo he starts at 4, but eventually go up to 5 to stay satisfied)
My idea was that maybe his maximum desire (assumed 13 due to the spacing of the image) is the same amount that a single max level building can hold (i.e. lv 7 place can generate and hold 13 girls in a single town) so the king will hardly move around because he's always satisfied.

Even if his max desire is higher than what max building can produce, it looks like he carry his harem around (make sense) in which case you just need more towns with max level building to hold him off (since while one town is being used, other towns are restocking)


At this point I feel it's less anti-stalling tactic and more of giving you choice between just sending girls his way to shut him up or spending money to not get russian roulette on which girl get taken.

p.s. MC is op as hell, 2 skills he unlocked in my run are Thunder (magic attack, crushing knights) and sling barrage (physical attack, crushing mages) AND he has Escape (instantly escape the fight) so he doesn't ever worry about losing and can kill enemies regardless of whether they're weak to physical or magic effects.

You can build lvl 7 Chalice buildings? I thought it only went up to 4...

And yeah, MC having escape makes sense, since losing a battle with him means an automatic Game Over.

4 is cap in demo, the lv 7 thing is just my speculation that after lv 4 (7 person) it might go up by 2 person per level, thus 3 level (7+6) to hit 13, the estimated max harem size for the king (also a guess based on the picture of harem window + how each girl in the harem takes up a spot on the image, so there's only so many spots possible)

Tried the demo.. hmm..

A little disappointing for me I guess. H-scenes feels identical as their previous game as u basically had to lose your girls to the enemy and wait for them to get raped.

Only addition I seen so far is the King system, gameplay wise it's still fairly similar in that u either get overpowered units or learn overpowered skills and then u could wipe the floor with any enemy. There seems to be a bigger variety of skills though..

Poor main male character once again seems to get little from the girls. A king that doesn't even have a face gets more than him.

I guess the bar has been set too high by the Rance series. This is still pretty decent though.

i played and beat the first one, but does any one know what each of those "building" options do? the bars, swords, buildings etc.

i know the far left is to rebuild any damage to the fort.

For 2, since I don't have 1st one.
Top:
Left - Repair town
Middle - Essentially how fast you can repair unit's max HP.
Right - How fast your unit recover current HP.

Middle:
Left - Jail level, higher level add more options with the prisoner (like moving them to another town, or prevent spies from saving them)
Middle - Concubine house, higher level = have more girls to satisfy the king (and some multiplier on some speed, no sure if that's how fast they add more girls as the king go through them or something)
Right - Cannon tower?

Bottom:
Left - research physical classes
Middle - research magic classes
Right - research cavalries


Basically research bottom row to get more classes (recommend magic asap since outside of MC your mages are probably the next best unit to utilize, also in demo mage can get Sorceror and Druid, while others doesn't really seem to unlock any strong class)

Note that the top 2 rows are per-town, while the last row unlock classes so you can do it from anywhere and anyone else can still benefit.

well actually i was more surprised that a demo came out since i saw this game death when 2015 started because is quite normal games without a very detailed demo with much tiems of being made usually die

anyway i am glad to know this still alive but even though system is like that and games progress i doubt this game comes out this year even if they were to say that will be on 1 or 2 months XD

Done with this demo I guess. The demo ends when you manage to beat the pink flag's king. I had to whittle him down by destroying his castle first with two thieves sabotaging it until it stopped doing the first-turn auto attack. After that I had to bumrush the castle. Its a good thing the other units inside it didn't attack too; the king meets you himself when you attack.

It seems like this will be the second last demo he'll put out. The last one will come when the game is done.

Well, there's a tiny one, the nameless girls can get pregnant just fine.

Anyway, I went and screw around a bit with the king system to see how it works.

The basic rule is that he will take your girl if he doesn't have enough girls.
The easiest example is if you send any girl to him at the start (2/4) he'll take them until he's full.
He won't take non-heroine characters :v kinda obvious but just want to point out in case anyone's curious.

Now here's a little something I wasn't sure at first so I had to wait a while to confirm:
While traveling, he'll count as having 0 girls regardless of the actual amount he has, so if any of your girl touch his cart or his guards, she'll get taken

It seems each month you'll get a report of how many girls he slept with, and every few days when you visit he might've taken one of the heroines into the back room, which you'll get a scene for if you happens to drop by (in the demo, at least the archer girl have 1 scene, the little sister/queen doesn't seem to have one)
