Re: Rance series dealocked?(Rance 9)
I'll make a brief summary of events as I know them, note that it might not be entirely accurate though I'll limit to things I'm fairly sure of:
At the start of Rance Quest rance sets out to free Sill from the eternal ice she's trapped in, hearing about the queen of the Kalar tribe (Pastel Kalar) being gifted in curses he sets out to get her to help (and of course, H her while he's at it) He ends up molesting her and getting her pregnant (he no longer has Sill for the sterility magic) and enraged, Pastel then tracks him down and curses him, making him unable to have sex with anyone below level 35 (which, as commonplace for the Rance series, combines a story element into a game mechanic) and doing so will reset their level to 1.
Most of Rance quest then becomes a quest for Rance to find high level women to H and somehow get rid of the curse (in which he succeeds at the very end)
One of the people he goes to is Lia, who goes with Marris, Kanami and Rick to force Pastel to remove the curse from Rance (Lia wasn't high level and... you know >_>) But Pastel instead curses Lia but Kanami gets in the way, now cursed to speak her every thought.
Suzume, as she mentioned in Sengoku Rance, was nearing the end of her lifespan, and as she gets high enough level for Rance to fuck her she has sex with him one last time before passing away. She then returns as a ghost for w/e reason, and is shown to occasionally possess Kanami and increasing her abilities. I'm not sure what Suzume's status is at the end of Rance Quest, but some of the scenes in Rance IX seem to imply Suzume might still be possessing Kanami at times or even just left a permanent mark on her, but that's mostly speculation on my part.
Crook, whom I actually know very little of despite her prominent role in the Rance Quest expansion, is apparently a very important figure in the AL church, but pretty much all I know of her is untranslated dialogue and scenes and nothing particular.
Other important events is the birth of Rance's daughter, Reset Kalar, and her meeting her father and them getting along quite well, as well as an appearance of Rance's son (usually just called Dark Rance, which is a child between Rance and Ferris, they don't quite get along as he blames Rance for all the horrors Ferris has gone through) and Ferris herself (which is probably one of the most unfortunate characters in the Rance storyline, and isn't exactly well-off here either)
As for the state of the world at the end of Rance Quest, all I really know is Rance saves the Kalar tribe from a Helman invasion and the curse getting removed, but Pastel was unable to free Sill from the ice (which turns out to be very upsetting to Rance, d'aww) And then Lia apparently tells him there might be a solution in Helman (though her motives are doubtful, at best, as she's actively tried to get Sill out of the picture in the past and Leazas has had a long-standing conflict with Helman)
