Is there a way to buy this off DLSite?
DLSite won't take my credit card for some reason. Never has. =1

On a different note. I'd like to discuss this "unwritten rule" about not posting links to games if the author interacts with us..

Why is it even a thought really? What is the difference between someone who doesn't come to talk to us, and those that do? At the end of the day- if you share links you're still stealing from someone, regardless if they've talked to you or not. Do you think that it's somehow 'worse' to steal from someone who you've spoken to? Why?

Note, this isn't meant to instigate a flame war. I'm genuinely curious as to why people think this because I don't get it at all.

I personally try to buy every game if I can. I've purchased all of Kyrieru's games, I also boguht Nagai Yamaji (Probably misspelled that) and Parasite in the City, but it wasn't because the author came and spoke to us, it was because they all offered an alternative method to buying the game since I can't buy off DLSite. I'd also like to note that I pirated every single one of these games beforehand (Minus Eroico, because after being blown away by how awesome Kurovadis was, I was certain I wouldn't be disappointed) because I'm a bit overly cautious with how I spend my money on games- particularly H-games since the markets are over-saturated with shitty games that I don't enjoy.

I agree; it doesn't help that we discuss the sharing/searching of links in the thread. What difference does it make if the link is in this particular thread/forum or somewhere else? Those of us who are looking for it are going to pirate it either way. A touch rude, maybe, but in the end this rule of courtesy doesn't really stop people who want free stuff from getting free stuff.

Like SethK, I try my best to pay for any games that come out, and if that fails, I resort to finding a free link and trying to donate to the author directly (which rarely works).

So basically you're saying if they talk to you, you respect them and don't steal their games, but if they don't, you don't care..

So do you steal food from a supermarket since the CEO of those companies don't know who you are? Your logic is extremely flawed..

Why are we even discussing ethics? It makes it all the harder to get games ninja style if ethics are discussed in threads the game is about. Even ninjas appreciate good works of art, for my 2 cents. If there's a will, there's a way, is what ninjas think. Though good ninjas do acknowledge they need some sort of appreciation for their works, whether it be money, kindly words, or fanart.

Ninjas are evil to some but great to some others.

Always the same hassle when games just get released. I completely understand the difficulty of game development but as mentioned, if people want it, they'll get it.

From what I can gather, people more appreciate someone that communicates and listens to others actively and the unsaid rules is set for possible a few reasons, one is that to set a standard of a sort (Think "Even Evil has Standard" trope), another is that it is more difficult to a varying degree to steal from someone you just spoken to and not feel guilty about it. Really though, this kind of stuff you cannot really classify as a boolean.

well i don't know about you people, but i see posting full link where the author is there its like buying a book then making a copies of them then shared it for free in the front of the author

i don't know about you fellow user(s), but for me its really underhanded move, and the author might quit making stuff if they doesn't have a diamond coated carbon fiber-like mental durability

i don't know if this kind of trick available in jp dlsite, but in en dlsite you could visit all-age dlsite then buy points from there(with paypal) then use those points for purchasing stuff in R18 dlsite

please don't say that most of you doesn't know that dlsite have all-age section

Look. If anyone honestly thinks that piracy isn't going to happen to something they make, then they're either working on something nobody gives a damn about (in which case why are they working on it), or they're delusional.

Is it a dick move to pirate content made by indie developers? Yeah, but that's hardly going to stop people from doing so anyways.

If you make content, you better accept the fact that there are going to be people who get it without paying for it. That's simply how it is, because it's just that easy nowadays.

i know that very well that piracy can't be stopped, but the real issue here is "shared it in the front of the author" not the piracy itself

please try to think, what if you work on something, then one day you find someone who interested in your work in somewhere random, then you talk a bit of this and a bit of that, and after your works done and that same person gladly buy your work, but after a while that person came back again with a tons of your works copies and start giving it for free in front of you

and please remove it, the links, both of you, if you finally get what i want to say

Purging links won't get people to not download it.

If someone wasn't going to pay for something before, making it harder for them to find won't stop them. If I want to pirate something, and I can't find a link you know what I do? I go find some of the other billions of porn out on the internet that I don't have to pay for, nothing is so good as to actually make me pay something for it.

This entire section seem to be about sharing H-Content. Just because the author of the game comes here doesn't mean people will stop.

If it was that easy to stop piracy it wouldn't exist by now.

I'm stuck in the vegetation part of the game. Can't find the exit in the level where you get "Aquarius". I've found 2 big monsters in the wall that I can't kill.

How do you even know that the random guy who posted is really the author and not just some troll??

Also, all that anti piracy stuff is just a bunch of crap, it's the same if you share it while the owner is here or when he isn't; the problem's just that him being here makes you feel uncomfortable about what you are doing, because you know it's wrong, like masturbating in front of your mom.

So stop being a hypocrite. If you dont like piracy then just leave ulmf.

Maybe I would think it's wrong if it were one of those authors who constantly interact with the comunity, and bring their games here for promotion and feedback, but this one is like he just came to say hi so meh.

I don't follow the logic. Stealing in front of someone is no different then stealing behind their back. You're still stealing from them, and it is still not an incentive to make more games if people are pirating them without your knowledge.

My take on the whole thing is that some asked for a little respect and compassion towards the author that acknowledged the community, in order not to be too much of a jerk (as soon as you pirate/steal something you're kind of a jerk, I know I am).

Whether you respect the request or not is your own decision, and unless a mod decides that links aren't allowed then you're free to just post them there.

Personally I would have at least hinted at being open to PM requests if you DO want to share it, without being extremely obvious about it. Posting the link here clear as day is kind of a slap to the author who did recognize the community in the first place. Considering he's Japanese, that's even nicer for us.

Now if you need me I'll be outside.
