I liked the demo, controls feel a little tricky sometimes, but she's very cute and you get the hang of the controls.

Looking good. I especially love the effects of the force shot when it 'splodes. Did you intend the area of effect to be that large though? Good luck with the dev!

Got to admit, an indi hentai game is the last place I expected the menu music from DCS Blackshark to be.

Thanks! I'm really happy with the force shot effect, I'd been wanting to figure out distortion for a while. It's not perfect, but I'm satisfied with it. As far as the area, I haven't decided for certain, but I like where it is for the moment. If it needs a nerf once the game gets further I'll certainly do it, but I also don't want the Force Shot to become underwhelming later on when Alicia gets powered up.

@LustfulIllumination & Tea Leaf - Thanks! I'm glad you two are enjoying the game. I don't plan on stopping 'til it's done.

@Papanomics - Well, the good news is that customizable controls are coming in v.05. Hopefully that will fix any control issues people have been having. Aside from that though, glad you liked it.

@MrMe - The reason for that is that the song is public domain. It's available on for free download and use in any project, commercial or otherwise. I haven't even heard of the game you mentioned, lol. Either way, it's also not music I plan on keeping there - just a placeholder, until I can hire a composer or make something good enough myself.

I don't know why, but I can't open the game
When I click on it, it asks me to run it and I allow it, then the .exe file size drops to 0 KB and doesn't open
When I click on it again, I get an error message that says, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item."

If I could get some help, that'd be great. It looks like a really interesting game

Sounds like your Anti-Virus program is being over zealous.
Turn it off for a bit then try opening the game

I'd agree with MrMe on this one. Unfortunately, exe's are the optimal way to transfer viruses and Game Maker Studio's exe's are unsigned, which means that pretty much any antiviral software is going to register a false positive on it. Your best bet would be to either turn it off temporarily, or create an exception for the game in whatever antivirus you have.

Yeah, I would've thought that, but I don't have anti virus software
I run Windows via parallels on my mac and I've never gotten a virus on it, for whatever reason
I've never had a problem like this before

*Edit* So, I got it to turn on, but everything in the game, save for the player, the background, and what seems to be a spinning yellow gun, are all just white with colored fuzz

That... That is incredibly strange. I don't have any experience with running Windows on mac, but that is the only thing I could imagine would be causing problems like that. I haven't heard of anything like that happening to other people.

If the things you mentioned are the only things that are visible, then it sounds like the tilesets are the only thing getting fuzzed out, but I have absolutely no idea what could be causing that. Can you try to get it to run again and post a screenshot?

@Jesus - Thanks, I'm glad you like the game, and the lighting engine I am oh so proud of, lol. Next update should be released around November 24th/25th!

Quick note guys, just wanted to remind you that today is the last day to sign up for the Patreon campaign if you want to access the v.05 update. There have been some unexpected family emergencies recently for me, so the update might be coming a bit late, but Patrons signed up after October won't get charged and, subsequently, won't get access until the 25th when it goes public.

Here's a screenshot for you
I included the files and their sizes I get from decompression just in case something just ins't coming out right

I've rarely had too many problems with the whole windows on mac thing, even when it comes to DirectX which is normally supposed to be something that Mac computers can't deal with. The thing is, Parallels installs Windows as naturally as possible onto a partition, so not much is affected typically.

*edit* from playing through the glitchyness, it's only the first area that's off
When I get to the area with the purple rocky tiling and the slimes, the floor looks fine
Though the tentacles before they catch you, when they are just sticking out of the ground (I guess?) are also kinda fuzzy like the outside area
also, text is also garbled

Re: (currently unnamed) Metroidvania H-game

nothing way out there (guro, scat, etc) but i'll be hitting a lot of them. as long as animating it wouldn't make me uncomfortable, basically. lol

as far as the ones you mentioned, impregnation is the only one that might be off the table - mostly because of storyline reasons. the entire plot is basically about rescuing the men for the sake of getting pregnant, birthing children, and continuing the human race, and i refuse to have the sex scenes lead to a game over or anything. so near the end of the game there might be something pregnancy-based, considering the story, but as for the main gameplay i'm not sure. maybe dying against bosses specifically can lead to some 'irreversible' fetish deaths..?

just for my own sake - what is corruption exactly? am i right in assuming it's turning a girl into a sex maniac, basically? corrupting her innocent mind and making her crave it? that could also be a boss death scene :p
Pregnancy doesn't have to end in a game over Oo

Well, I hate to say it, but I just changed my mind when it comes to supporting this game (Seriously, had my credit card out and everything).

Breeding, infestation and pregnancy are the big kinks I have, and what I want to see in games like this... Since you are so against it... no cash from me.. pity, this game would have been great.

Hey, Thx Anon for the help you had to offer. Everything is actually fixed now
After talking about it (And other applications effectively deleating permissions and dropping to 0 size) I though about checking for viruses and I actually found that my problem was my first true virus in the form of a load32.exe and I fixed it with hitman virus software.
After I reboot, everything was working.
Again, thanks for the help. I look forward to playing the game and it's future updates

Don't put away that credit card just yet. Keep in mind there were a lot of maybe's in that post, and it was also a very long time ago.

There won't be any permanent pregnancy status effects that cause her to have a large belly during normal gameplay, but there will be pregnancy like in Parasite in the City. It's possible only one enemy will have it, but it will be there. I did say I wanted to hit a lot of fetishes, after all.

@Jormilos - Glad I could.. help? Even though not really? lol. I'm glad it worked out though, good you were able to find the virus before any serious problems happened. And I'm glad you like the game, as well.

@nightshad - I was picturing pregnancy as in a typical human pregnancy. The belly gets bigger, and her stamina/physical abilities would be diminished because of it. In addition to the fact that it would mean a whole 'nother set of movement and combat sprites, it would be awkward for her to make the kind of jumps and actions required in the game while being weighed down like that. Because of that, the only way I was picturing it at the time would be to have her become incapacitated from the pregnancy. However, as I mentioned above I have decided on a way to implement it, very similarly to Parasite in the City.

If I can ask... why just one enemy? Parasite in the city was great, still is, happy to give some cash over to it too, but I feel there was a LOT of lost potential there, especially with the final boss and the other kind of bug. The only reason why I am supporting the second one is because the message was clear to the creator after the first that we wanted more then just one enemy.

Your game has a ton of potential, and you have many, many kinds of enemies planned I am sure, I would much rather enjoy a larger sum of them (the more inhuman the better, even the slime) performing this act. Since the theme is the main character trying to preserve the human species for breeding, the perversion of that should be a lot of inhuman breeding.

My two cents, but I won't give up on this yet.

Again, keep in mind I said "it's possible only one enemy will have it." There's nothing definitive about that. I haven't planned out every single enemy and every single sex scene yet. Keep in mind though that I'm not a big pregnancy fan - I don't personally find the idea sexy, so you can't really expect it to be added to every enemy. It really depends on how many enemies I even have. There are a lot of fetishes - if I represent one fetish significantly more than others, then fans of other fetishes will start calling me out on that, just as people did with Parasite in the City. I have to balance everything.

Also, the plot has changed since way back then, it hasn't been about repopulation for a very long time. The plot centers around a virus that attacks the Y chromosome, preventing babies from being born male and endangering the long-term survival of the human race. Rather than the male population already being destroyed, it's in danger of slowly withering away with no new men being born.
