Also having this issue with 8GB RAM. Using Kimochi, figured I'd drop another $10 to enjoy the game and see what has changed since 0.01, use my day off wisely :p. Alas, I'm having the same issue even downloading the RPGMaker ace RTP, gets about 1/3 done then freeze, then black, then no progress saved. Just want to be able to play :(

A quick correction: the project is pay per release, not month :D. No worries, you haven't spent that much yet.
doh. Shows how much attention I pay to my finances. I thought Patreon changed the sitewide rules due to prevent per-release scamming a year back, or something.

Hmm, so if it's per-release, does that mean that paying the 45 dollars tier for the in-between versions would mean being charged per mini-release, or would you get charged the same as a 10 dollar tier patron (except 45 each time instead of 10)?

Everyone's charged at the same time (only when the major release goes out).

I'm not certain you saw them, but the Vioreaper does indeed have 2 full H skill chains that it will only use after Neon's armor has been broken :D.
I most certainly did, and it was excellent. :D

Can confirm that if one of the characters (at least Malise) dies from the artillery attack, that the game ceases to function properly. I had Neon guarding, she is stuck in her guard pose, and Stigmata continues to sway back and forth, but the ATB gauge for Stigmata and Neon do not continue to advance.

Can you elaborate on this? When exactly does it happen, and does it happen every time?
You're the second person who had problem with Stig's scenes (assuming you aren't the one who reported it on patreon). We had no problems during pre-release testing phase, and I've even started new game and tested it afresh just now and everything works fine.
If Stig kills Malise (coincidentally the 3 times I tested it happened to be with Artillery) and only Malise, the game hangs after changing her portrait to being KO'd. Stig remains animated, the music keeps going, as though the game is waiting for something, but nothing happens, and the only things that still work are using F1 or F12 for controls/restart respectively. No other enemies were still alive when it happens either (as for testing I had to kill them so they didn't accidentally lockdown Neon and KO her).

I played only on the Wait for Input setting.
It happened all 3 times. The game still behaved properly if (say, via Artillery) Neon and Malise are KO'd by the same attack.

For anyone having an issue downloading the game with Kimochi: the bug is fixed! Please make sure you close out of your client and reopen it so that it updates. You should be able to download it now.

Thanks for the info regarding the Stigmata bug guys! Anymore details you could provide would be helpful, as AltairPL and i still can't get it to happen on our systems, heh.

PM21: were you using the 'Wait for Input' wait mode as well?

EDIT: Yay! I broke it! We're still analyzing it, but I was able to get it to happen in 'Wait for Input' mode. For me it was when Neon died by artillery. Could still use those extra details though!

Hey! I was told by the Kimochi crew about 15 minutes ago that this bug had juuuuust been fixed. Make sure that you update your Kimochi client (it should auto update if you close out of it entirely then reopen it), then try again and let me know if it still happens?

Yep should be fixed with version 0.8.2. You can see what version your client is on the login screen.

Hey guys!

AltairPL was able to figure out the bug that was generating the issue some of you were having during the Stigmata battle. The bug occurs if you're using the 'Wait for Input' battle mode, so for that fight we recommend switching to a different battle mode. It's technically possible for the bug to pop up in other battles, but the reason it occurs so often in the Stigmata battle is because of how long the artillery animation is.

Yes, I had used Altair's save file on the previous page and also had it set to Wait for Input, just to clarify. I hadn't checked if I could get it to happen in another mode.

Well, I wouldn't be able to figure it out without the feedback and various reports, so thanks to everyone who added something to the discussion, especially Deekin, who was the first to mention using 'Wait for Input' mode - without it we would still be struggling trying to reproduce the issue. Also, to everyone affected by this bug - sorry for the screwup :eek:.

Upped my pledge to 45 dollars :D

Btw I didn't notice whether the developer mentioned this, but I had that same minor bug where you can switch between characters (C) on the overland map in part 2. It makes no difference aside from the visual effect of walking around as Malise. I've been able to reproduce it in all my saves, but when I started a new game it stopped working. The earliest I remember being able to do it was after activating the main computer to turn on all the lights, and putting the fuse into the terminal next to Gate A.

Hey guys!

We've sent out a patched version of V0.03 to patrons and added the update to the V0.03 package on Kimochi. The patch fixes the following issues:

  • Fixed an issue where the game could freeze in battle when using certain battle time modes.
  • Fixed an issue where using an ARIS unit would allow you to switch characters during the map scene when only one character was in the party.
  • Removed deprecated control tutorial messages from the V0.02 (Old Town) scenario.

Its fine for just auto attacking, but the minute you're doing other stuff it's like "sorry no time you just got grappled".



It would be nice if there was the OPTION to have a "time stops when it's your turn" instead of this constantly rushed "sht i have to push a button because i'm on the clock" over and over.


Just saying, take a hint from Child of Light.

There are actually four modes available with different options for the battle time. You can set it in the Options menu.

  • Active - no wait
  • Action - battle time stops when action animations play
  • Turn - battle time stops when it's the player's turn
  • Turn and Action - combination of the above two

Can't get an answer out of these guys if buying 2 "demos" from Kimochi will get you the full game on release (similar to if you did 2 $10-donations via Patreon).

I've asked the question in this thread, asked on their blogspot, asked via the ask-me-anything on the tumblr page. I even asked Kimochi support if they knew (which they weren't sure).

Really regretting putting $10 into a 5-min demo, these guys seemed like they were a lot more on top of things.

The latest answer however is that Kimochi is going to work on a way to make that happen for people that buy two early access packages (or $20 worth) on Kimochi. Unfortunately there's no way to validate users between Kimochi and Patreon, so the $20 sum would have to be on one or the other.

Kimochi does have a return policy though so you can message them and I'm sure they'd handle that for you if you're unhappy about it.

Your game looks really interesting, but I'm very reluctant to throw money at something I've only seen screenshots and an old trailer of.
