Re: Burden of Purpose (dragoon93041)

Geren: HP = 54, PP = 52, EP = 89, Status = Fine

"No, you paid a fine for putting me out of work for a few days by getting them on me in the first place. If you want to argue that point, you'll have to take it up with our boss too," Savyre argued coolly, before he turned and walked away from the now frowning woman. The daycare was, unsurprisingly, far from empty, but he could hone in on his own children by simple instinct through the pane of glass separating the larger furnished room where the children were at play from the much emptier underground room that led up to it. Two tiny rotund little daughters, both with blond hair, were playing with some wooden blocks in the corner while a boy and a girl with pitch black hair ran around on tiny legs after each other, a redheaded child from someone else joined in on their game. The caretaker, one of the other whores and another demon, was paying full attention to the two dozen or so spawn of varying ages, and didn't seem to notice Geren standing at the window.

Geren watched the children. He tapped his fingers together a few times, then sighed. He knew what he had to do but every time he delayed, it meant Janna could get farther away. He went to go meet his boss. It was time to find out how much purchasing his own children was going to cost him.

Going back upstairs, Geren would find that Jess wasn't in her office, but according to her secretary was off in the grounds. It took him almost an hour of looking to find her, where he found her accompanied by a pair of women in loose red robes that were made of lace and seemed to cover very little. They both briefly glared at Geren when he appeared, but Jess seemed unperturbed and patiently asked; "Yes? Do you need something Geren?"

Geren ignored the glares. He was in a bad mood and a few glares weren't going to even ping on his radar. He didn't let that show when he talked to Jess. He didn't need any more problems. "I've come to talk about my children, Mistress Jess. What is it going to take for me to keep ownership over them?" He got straight to the point. There wasn't much reason in doing otherwise.

"Ownership?" the demon mistress asked, bemused, "keep? They aren't my slaves. They're my bonded employee's children. YOU are my slave, but you won't be for long... Presumably anyway. I don't feel it prudent to sell my employee's children, not if I want to maintain my position for long."

Geren narrowed his eyes "Again, I hear that the children belong to her, yet I paid for the time she was unable to work. I guess I will take this up with her, then. However, if you do catch news of Janna, I will remind you that I offer service for it.." Geren will go back to Savyre "So, the children are yours then. What do you plan for them?"

"And that somehow gives you right to her children... How exactly? I would be like me selling your children by way of your missing companion had you accepted my terms." Jess asked skeptically, before rolling her eyes at Geren's reminder. "You already refused my offer for information, and given the tone of this conversation I don't see you changing your mind."

Hunting down Savyre once more, he found her speaking to a prospective client, one that would lose interest as he confronted her with such a question and caused her to round on him with a firm scowl. "I plan to raise them as they ought to be raised," she answered frostily, "they will remain here, under my care, until old enough to make their own decisions and their own way. Those who wish to stay longer will join our mistress' employ, those who choose to leave may do so freely."

Geren almost leapt at the whore, only to rein his temper back in at the last minute. He returned to his room, contemplating his next move. He was unaware that his thoughts were turning more to revenge than to the fate of Janna.

Pan: HP = 65, PP = 68, EP = 111, Status = Fine

Geren was left fuming in his room, plotting vengeance that he would get not opportunity to exact before he ultimately paid off his debts, fathering numerous more children amongst mortal women who paid for his company if he so desired. He was forced to leave his children behind, however...

~~~~Pan~~~~
With the road splitting ahead of him, Pan was left to choose his new heading for the very first time. Having just left the home in which he had grown up, Pan was on the main road. To the East lay the lands of Lord Alistar, to the West lay the border with the lands conquered by the orcs, and Gods-Reach, to the South lay the Pass of Ghosts and ultimately Badaria, and finally to the North lay Therion, the largest city in the region. It was a choice similar to one that his father had made, before he had stumbled into the place where Pan had ultimately been conceived, and the same road that he had left on so many years earlier.
"Hmmmm..." Pan looked left and right. "Hmmm..." He did so again. "All of them look fine..." Pan wasn't much for decision making in times like this. "Man, I have no idea..." He sat down, then drew a circle in the dirt. "HA!" He grabbed a handful of rocks on the side of the road and, without looking, threw them in the general direction of the circle. Then he went back to it. "Lessee... 1, 2, 3..." He counted them up. "Five inside the circle! And we'll go by the sun. So! East, North, West, East, North! North I go!" He stuck his leg straight out and headed North. As he went, he looked in the other directions. "Wonder which way Dad went? Ah well!" As he traveled, he began to sing one of his favorite songs.
With the singing half-faerie one his way to Therion, it wasn't long before he found signs of civilization encroaching on his view of the wilderness. Though the area immediately around his brothel home was relatively wild, there were a number of farms closer to the larger city and the towns clustered around it, and he spotted one in the distance, though it was a ways off the road and at the bottom of a hill, the farmhouse sitting closest but a barn, silo, and several small sheds littering the area.
He could easily pass it by if he so chose, but before he even got the option he found himself approaching a pair of men. The roads here were flanked by dense forests, even the younger trees old enough to stretch towards the pale blue sky. The two were sitting in plain sight, however, their darker uniforms somewhat worn and dirty but the swords and longbows they carried in decent enough condition. The pair were sitting at a folding table playing chess, but as Pan approached they both rose, both possessed of the pale skin common of native Crolians, pointed ears, and short blond hair.
"Hello hello there!" one said in a friendly chant-like voice, and as he got nearer he could see the glimmer of mischief in the speaker's bright blue eyes, one mirrored in his companion, as well as the insignia of Therion on their chests and the hints of mail beneath their garb. "How goes it stranger? On your way up to Therion from parts South?" the speaker continued, while the other man, the taller of the two, seemed to be subtly looking around in the direction that Pan had come from.
Re: Party Time (dragoon93041)
"Yes! No! Wait! Yes! Probably!" Pan had little knowledge in the realm of geography. He knew what the major nations were and generally what direction they were in but that was basically it. When you knew how to teleport, directions weren't that big of a deal. "I'm planning to follow this road until it cannot be followed! Then I'll search for another road to track. And so on. My dad came by here. Maybe. Have you seen someone who can look like anyone else? Oh, yeah, and if he ran into you, he probably tried to hurt you! He doesn't like you guys too much." He was grinning like a loon. "No one in this place has had time to insult me yet so I'm waiting for it. But mostly to see the sights, the smells, the local delicacies."
"Uhhh," the elven man seemed fairly put off by Pan's response, though in a confused way more than anything else. The other one, who had been looking around, recovered from his confusion first and replied; "As good a way to live life as any, I say. S'long as you've got the coin for it anyway!" He tapped his friend on the shoulder, and his charming grin returned. "Well friend, it's been a pleasure... Do keep safe, yes? The roads are not as safe as they once were... I'd stay away from that farm over there, for instance! Looks like some of them monsters from the sky got to it of late, the rest of our regiment is just now clearing it out! Just keep to the road and be on your merry way!"
Re: Party Time (dragoon93041)
"Would you? Why not? After all, life is not life without challenge! Adversity is the spice of life! Without adventure..." Pan walked straight towards the farm, ignoring any protests, loudly exclaiming the virtues of a busy life. "I am off my merry way!" With that he turned, waved at the guards, and suddenly took to the air. "What can the matter be?" He looked for the creatures of the sky the guards had mentioned. Killing them might be fun. Or maybe just beating them into unconsciousness. Maybe they could be trained as pets. Or maybe just food.
Since the farm was still a long distance away, Pan's advance down the road didn't seem to bother the pair any. Both shouted in surprise and stumbled slightly as he suddenly took off into the air, but other than voicing their protests they did nothing to stop him. Flying closer to the farm took several minutes, but nothing particularly significant got in his way. There was nothing else in the air, at least besides a few birds and a cloud of bugs that he nearly flew through, and getting closer to the farm he only saw more people in uniform, maybe a half score all told seemingly moving among the buildings in pairs. There was a dead body lying on the ground near the dirt path leading to the farm from the road that he just barely spotted, laying in a pool of blood, and another trio of the people standing guard over four kneeling figures that were obscured by a tree.
Re: Party Time (dragoon93041)
"Pesty swarms! I hope belly floppers dine on you and your young!" Pan made a rude gesture in the direction of the bugs he had almost run into. When he got closer, he sighed sadly. "Ah, life cut short. What a pity. I wish only they died excited. Hmmm... but that might mean terror inflicted them before death. That would be exciting but not the right taste." He frowned and almost ran into a tree, twirling lazily to avoid it at the last second. He landed neatly on the ground near the kneeling figures. "What is this? Preparation for activity? Can I join?"
To say that the people next to which he landed were confused was something of an understatement. The pair of soldiers jumped and wheeled, drawing their swords, while the kneeling figures just looked shocked at his sudden landing in their midst. All of them had gags on though, and their hands were tied behind their backs, to their ankles. There was a covered wagon nearby, which was rocking back and forth while steady grunts, some male and some very muffled but louder female ones, emanated from it.
"Listen friend," said one of the sword wielding men, his voice nervous but forceful, "I don't know who you are or where you came from, but I politely suggest you take off and go back there!" The speaker was a man, human by all appearances with dark hair and eyes and a somewhat grizzled look matching his deep voice. The other soldier was another elf, a wiry figure with pitch black hair and a bushy mustache.
Re: Party Time (dragoon93041)
Pan looked pleased at the sounds. "Why would one do that? There is the heady perfume of love in the air and no able bodied person would be able to resist it!" He grinned at the sword "However, if you wish to engage in the other joy in life, I will be pleased to be your partner! The honorable would allow the other the first step! Fortunately, the sun brings out the best in me and I shall allow you to begin our dance of blood and life!" His grin became somewhat vicious as purple flame engulfed him. Every part of him was ready for battle. "Do not worry, death will not come to either of us! There is no pleasure to be had there! I've tested that!"
Activating Battle Aura, paying 4 EP to gain +16 to attack rolls, melee damage, Speed and Dodge and +8 to Resistance
Re: Burden of Purpose (dragoon93041)
Pan: HP = 53/65, PP = 68, EP = 106/111, Status = Injured, Flight, Battle Aura X = 4, 24/30 TP
Rolls
Attacks: First guy hits, other guy misses.
Damage: 6 + 1 + 15 + 2 - 12 = 12 damage. 24/4 = 6 damage to his armor.
The man merely growled in response to Pan's challenging words, the sudden flare of magical flame causing him to stop in his tracks as he began an advance but only holding him back for a few seconds before he lunged at the half faerie. His blade was well aimed, a clean swipe coming in too hard and fast for Pan to dodge away from it fully, and it cut across his cheek and shoulder as he twisted to avoid it. The other man was more hesitant in response to Pan's magic, slashing as well but only in a darting manner, which Pan was able to avoid with a quick turn.
Hope appeared in the eyes of the four kneeling figures, two young men who weren't even fully developed, though the age progression of mortal creatures might easily be lost on pan, and two women, one slightly older and just coming into womanhood and one significantly older, her figure matronly rather than slim. All four were disheveled and had ripped clothes, though the women were far worse in the latter case, the homespun blouse of the younger girl ripped open to reveal some modest cleavage and the right breast of the older woman revealed outright, the teeth marks on the round orb showing that someone had been paying it a bit of lip service. All four had shiny blonde hair, though the boys at least had been dirtied as if they'd been dragged around, and all four had red rims around their blue eyes and streams down their cheeks.
The other blue clad raiders were no longer unaware of his intrusion, however, and Pan heard shouts from the farmhouse, and the grunting from the wagon stopped suddenly while the hesitant pair facing off with him let out a shout for help.
Re: Party Time (dragoon93041)
"Hahaha! Excellent! Good! You cut me!" He touched the blood, laughing. "But there are more of you! Much more! If I hold back, it'll be unfair to you! If I die you won't have anyone left to fight!" Pan's hand flashed out, suddenly carrying a bright red blade. The blade dripped energy near the end which disappeared before it would touch the ground. While the prisoners were in a sad state, Pan was more interested at the moment with playing with the raiders. If they died, well, they've been denying others the pleasures of life so that would be that.
Powers
Spending 11 EP to create an Energy Blade! Spending an additional 4 to gain Fencer and Battle Dance, which I am activating! Attacking with the blade on the turn it was created!
Attack = 60 (28 + 16 Battle Aura + 4 Fencer + 12 Battle Dance)
Damage = ((2d4+1) * 10) + 10 + 4 (Fencer) + 16 (Battle Aura)
Total Upkeep = 5 (2 (Battle Aura) + 3 (Energy Blade))
Dodge = 73 (41 + 12 Battle Dance + 16 Battle Aura + 4 Fencer)
Tell me if this is helpful or not
