Yeah, I think we're mostly just talking here...if that. I wouldn't think there'd be anything worthwhile to update on the OP anyway.

On another note, does anyone know the password to the new RM_patch file on the ryona uploader? It's not ryona2 like always, and the description doesn't really give a hint on what the password is like usual. I'm assuming RM stands for ryona_morrigan, so I tried anything related to that, including kanji, but it could be anything.

I'm seeing lots of goodies (as gifs) of what I really want in terms of characters on the hinanjo website, so hopefully that's a sign of what's to come.

Thank you good sir! Much appreciated. Just curious, do you know why the mugen uploaders put passwords on their files (some don't even have passwords).

Oh RMDB i would like to thank you for sharing your sprites and .air txt files on yoko, lucifer and ange, they were awesome My lucifer and ange only have one piledriver animation but i was kinda proud when it worked following your directives^^

thanks to you i started my first steps in making animations, using Fighter Factory. I'm still having a hard time extracting gifs and turning them into .pcx from ryonamoe.in but i'm practicing.

glad that you liked them, but yoko's sprites are pretty rough (yoko is my longtime side-project .... i'm doing sprites for other characters,(just some inu and piledriver here and there). about the air text most of them are property of 22b, take schlussel as your main code and you're good to go. if you want to learn to edit sprites start making a simple 3 sprites anim as inu. (grp 19230-0,1,2).
@emerald_gladiator:there are various reasons on why characters on 00-uploader are protected with password. 1st most of the times modders are unhautorized to modify characters. 2nd they may dont want to share them outside japan. 3rd they dont want material to be uploaded elsewhere.4th filter for underaged. 5th in japan even free games and demos are protected with password, it's pretty common. (eg. hotb,fairy fighting ecc ecc..) 6th other reasons that i forget for sure. but fortunately there are even people who don't follow the scheme.

Anyone have the foggiest idea how Lip-GESU works? Saw there was an update and tried her out, and she's still the weird uncontrollable shit slinger with summons.

Am I missing something?

@RMDB, that makes a ton of sense. I'm impressed by the depth of your knowledge in this subject.

Also would like to second the appreciation for the yoko sprites; I'm a big fan of the aesthetics of the character (don't know much about the character myself), and I've been working on adding in her sprites/anims based on the files you've uploaded.

On a side note, I'm fairly excited for the sprites on the hinanjo site; the Cammy looks friggin amazing, and the soldier girl (forgot her name) has some nice spriting/anims. I'd add in the sprites/anims to the Cammy myself since I think I have her base character somewhere, but I have a feeling that someone is going to drop her in the uploader anyway. At least, I hope so.

@Thorn: Sorry, can't help you, but I share your frustration. She looks like a pretty interesting raper character, but to me, she's a bit like other rapers (i.e. Science_For_Adults) with some clunky or odd controls/anims and sounds. Maybe she'll fit someone's niche but even the newest one doesn't do it for me. I guess I just like my rapers...well, normal (if that's the word for it). :/

@Hamger: Yeah, in a way. I think we already discussed this a few posts ago, but the female mino just appears as the anims for when the male mino is the victim of a rape anim. So there IS a female mino but not as a standalone character (she's part of the Mino character).

Pretty amazing how much mugen is advancing though, I haven't checked out that site in a long time. That facefuck animation though...The rest of the animations for that white haired chick are a bit iffy/jerky, but the facefuck one is glorious.

I don't know how much it's updated cos i've almost deleted it instantly,but for some mugen collector here it may be good.

She's an autonomous stage/boss character, like DemonWall or Nikukabe.
She's compatible with Minotaur though (since she has Minotaur as a summon).

Anyone know of any good tutorials for adding sprites and animations to an existing character? I downloaded the Maori piledriver animation from the Ryona uploader some time ago, and tried to add it to her base QOFR character using Fighter Factory, but I have no idea of how it works.

I have tried Google searching for tutorials, but I'm not entirely sure of what it is I'm supposed to be searching for in the first place. Any help would be appreciated.

There seems to be about enough development accumulated at this point that the next version of QoF could forseeably include most characters having support for piledriver. I'm pretty excited about that. I haven't been motivated to mod individual characters with minor to moderate improvements lately, though.

If someone wants to share significantly improved versions of characters I'm sure others would appreciate it. With as little activity as there has been recently I'd probably be inclined to have it linked up in the first post.

there are a number of resources to use. The engine already comes with a small guide in it's text, but I often use these forums below for tips or to help out. Though I lurk there these days and stopped doing mugen characters and spriting ages ago.

I should've noted that I've been away from Mugen for quite some time, but a few notable ones for me was the DFO f.fighter, HsienKo, Yuuka Kazami, and Disgaea Succubus. There's also a ton of raper and fighter variations as well. It's probably a given but from what I've seen many of the characters have limited compatibility with most/all rapers though.

If you see a character or two you like in the select file, I don't mind uploading as well
