I've no idea what the bookcase is for, but you can complete the game without it. The coloured switches and numbered doors puzzle is, I assume, some kind of maths puzzle; like, maybe each switch stands for a certain number and the right ones need to be on to add up to the numbers on the door? With maybe the coloured switches in that room with the spikes giving a hint? In any case, it's not too hard to brute force the solution. Think I finished the game with all items and skills unlocked. Must say, I didn't see the ending coming... But then, it was never even hinted at.

finally got around to playing this the other day after massive workload ugh -.-
but i have to say my expectations were low ever since natsu adventure i've not been that excited on their games but this one made up for it

I wonder if I botched it up somehow. I think I got through everything else except the unconscious guy. Are you supposed to step on the horny trap and then talk to the guy? Because I already got the immunity to those traps...
Do I need that chest where the guy is? How do I get to the end?

You're able to forget the spells that you learn and then re-learn them back whenever you want.
Just check the menu options, one of them leads to the spell memorizer management
Oh and to get to the end, you actually have to get through that long corridor filled with spikes, the healing spell helps!
After getting through, you'll get to a small room, be sure to keep your eyes peeled if you want to get to the last area

So, the room with the switches and 1374 gives me 8*7*6*5 = 1680 configurations, assuming that 4 switches need to be pressed, and I don't even have a clue what they do.
Also, the endboss is a stonewall. Is grinding really the only option here?

The bookshelf might be a clue there, since it's naming the color it's number.

Btw, I haven't seen any event that the switches trigger on RPG Maker, so I believe you're all just wasting time on them.
