Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Well, seems to be two types of basic attack, physical and pleasure. Even if you have physical resistance which drops hits down to like 3-4 damage, it seems pleasure can one-shot Luka.

Not sure how to increase defense against pleasure.

You could always fly back to Illiasburg?
Flying is for sissies

Try playing Dragon's quest VIII with no fast travel, you'l be overleveled in due time, although the game was even more of a grind fest than this one.

but I do have the feathers...hm

Also on the subject of the three succubi sisters

After watching them basically kill off an entire village with a combination of magic and fucking I sort've have a hard time believing they'll be recruitable in the future. Maybe Luka is more forgiving than I give him credit for though. I won't be surprised if they get limited to Game Over Rape scenes in future parts though seeing as the final boss also seems to be an enemy you're forced to kill. Sure other girls in MGQ had killed, but it was usually something Luka had only heard about or it happened off screen/in the past not like straight up Luka walking into the last few people of a village he had previously visited getting massacred via sex

well he recruits a lot of not very nice creatures and some of them even kill him in castle fuck scenes.

At least in the stuff that was translated, one of the monsters mentions you better be careful about casually asking monsters for sex. If they don't like you a lot, well...

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

I got up to the point with talking to the Gambler, but I can't seem to get to him since there is a Orc Girl blocking the path to him. Any idea how to get rid of her?

Edit: I think I might've been hit with a gamebreaking bug(It might have to do with going to the cave just east of the Thieves cave and triggering a scene with Illias and slime girl before doing the Thieves section). I tried a old save where I just met the White Rabbit girl and I went though the process smoothly.
a fix for this would alternatively be to add the pig girl to your party since the one you see all over the world is the one you recruited
there's a few events regarding recruited monsters and various places in the world

Most of the 100 affection scenes (From those I've done) indeed don't result in Luka dying, for instance Lamp Genie's 10 affection scene kills you whereas her 100 affection scene does not. Of course, some obviously malicious monsters like Dark Elf Mage kill you anyways  .Makes me wonder what will happen with Alma Elma.

Which girl? Also even at 100 it's still only a % chance, not guaranteed.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Jesus I just went back to change my jobs and MAN do they make a difference.

They affect your weapons and equipment, while also affecting your stats, and how they grow I think (dunno its all in japanese here)

Either way I just decked Luka with a job that allows him to use a Sword AND a spear, making his speed and damage high as hell while with very good defense.

aawwww yes im kicking ass now.

The others...well I just gave them the jobs I saw that had the best stats :D

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

DOn't know about slug, there is about three slugs, one normal, one nun and one boss, nothing much else ;)

chimeras though...sheesh
But that's too many.

Slug-Girl-Rapes-Submissive-Shota is a damn narrow fetish. There are probably like 3 people in the western hemisphere that were crossing their fingers for more slug enemies in Paradox.

They could have made three succubi or three harpies or three of anything that looks like a girl with some selective non-human features (eg. cat ears, bird wings, tiger claws, snake scales, etc.). You know, things that more than a handful of humans will enjoy.

The rabbit archer girl D:
Just keep beating her, she'll join eventually. Also for affection just give them gifts that make sense, meat for zombies for instance raises much more affection than vegetables.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Even the affection 100, its not always 100% join. The tutorial npc mention the higher it is the higher chance it will join.
Something ppl might be overlook, if you master multiple job you will unlock advance job ex: warrior + wizard = magic warior

Now Luca initial job is more like apprentice, this job basicaly give skill that with some debuff effect ex: hp -50% / dmg taken increase etc, but increase main exp gain or job exp gain.
It is recommended to change Luca job while you can, or you can just eq a bracelet that increase job expx2 (with effect cant gain base exp) and go kill low lvl area to lvl job 1st (those jelly should 1 hit kill)

Edit: Change that the -50% hp for 1.5x base exp is from racial job human / appearently Sonia just got it too

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Thanks, found it as well as the medal trade post.
How do you open green and blue chests?

What is the best way to increase friendship of owned mobs?
you need character with thief job of high enough level.frienship you can gain or traveling and fighting with them, or give them gift mostly food (each has it preferences)

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Now that I've had time to digest it more I like Paradox part 1 a lot, but the dynamic of recruiting girls really changes the way I feel about the designs in the game. Like in the original series you only interact with girls through game over rape, but now that the dynamic of recruiting girls comes in it feels more about waiting/wanting to recruit the girls you like and unfortunately a lot of the girls whose designs I'm really into don't make an appearance in Part 1 (Though I still have some favorites in thankfully).

The Harpy Queen is a good example, she's one of my favorite designs and is present in the game - but not as a recruitable character so it sort've cheapens her inclusion because she's "in" but not really -in-. I'm really looking forward to the translation and future parts though, too bad I'll probably be waiting a year+.
