In the pocket castle, talk to the maid, select first option, and press shift to remove party members. Then you can choose new party members.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Decided to update my walkthrough a tiny bit. This will still be touching on the main story quests and I'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum. To be honest there are so many sidequests I've kinda lost track of some of the proper triggers to a few of them so I don't think I'll be listing them anytime soon.

Since a lot of people seem to be having trouble with finding Amira and starting the bandit quest I'll quickly gloss over it.
-After the scene at Illiasburg's entrance speak to the man standing to the right of the entrance. He'll tell you about Amira and that you should look by the fountain. Speak with the young girl there who will direct you to the blacksmith shop. Speak to the guard inside, who will then direct you to the weapon shop, and finally someone in there will tell you to speak to the man in the alley behind the priest.
NOTE: If an orc girl is blocking your way to the man in the alley check your pocket castle and see if you've recruited an orc. If that's the case, add her to your party to get her to stop appearing in towns
-The man in the alley will tell you Amira went to Illias Temple to change jobs. Head there, speak with the head priest who will redirect you back to Illiasburg, and speak to the man in the alley again
-after being told that Amira was captured by the bandits head to the cave west of illiasburg and defeat the bandits
-you will be returned to town where you will encounter Amira outside of the inn, speak to her BUT DON'T PICK THE FIRST OPTION, you'll kill her. You might be able to exit and reenter the town but I haven't checked and just save scummed, so be wary.
-Amira will have critical information for you and gives you the option to pay her 1500g or become a part of the Informants Guild to get the info for free
OPTIONAL: If you go the informants guild route Amira will point you in the direction of a suspicious phoenix feather trade service which can be located to the south of the bandit's cave.
-Either way Amira will point you in the direction of a mining town located southeast of Illias Village
-head there, enter the inn, and speak to the rabbit girl. She'll direct you towards the Tartarus (large hole in the ground) that's south of Illias Village.
-OPTIONAL: When you exit the inn Alice/Illias will suggest you visit the mine to get some iron for crafting. There's some decent treasure there as well. The iron ore you acquire can also be used to recruit the dragon girl back in Illiasburg.
-enter the Tartarus and make your way to the end. Head to Illias Village and don't deviate to far from the path. There are very powerful monster hanging around.
-once in Illias village examine the graves in the cemetery
-after a lengthy powwow Alice/Illias offers some suggestions
OPTIONAL: head to Midas village to craft gold equipment
OPTIONAL: quell the growing number of slugs in Midas village by defeating the boss in the tower located to the far west of Midas.
-either way your next critical destination is the cave located south of Happiness Village (and to the east of Illiasburg)
-traverse through the cave until you're spat out onto the continent's eastern coast
-rest at the inn in the ruins nearby and then head south to the tartarus
-proceed through the tartarus, enter the village and speak to the elderly man in the southern house (with the jars next to it)
-return from the tartarus and head to the Forest of Hesitation, which is the giant forest located to the west of Illias Village
-proceed westward through the forest until you get to Enrika (the elf village)
-enter the house in the southern part of the village with the elf standing by the door, speak to the occupant
-afterwards head to the very north of the continent and enter Illias Port
-speak to the man with the red bandana standing by the ship to kick off the quest to get Poseidon's Bell
-you will have to head to Treasure Cave, which is located west of Illias Port. You'll have to head south a bit, then over a few bridges to get to it
-make your way through the cave, fight the boss (you don't have to win) and use the rope ladder at the back to quickly exit
-return to Illias Port, present the bell to the man with the red bandanna, and prepare for another boss fight
-you will now be in Port Natalia.
-OPTIONAL: Speak to the blond mermaid in the house you woke up in to start the Southern Seas quest.
-Head west (ignore the village to the north. There's not much you can do there yet.) and continue west until you reach San Ilia.
-Head to the palace and once you enter you'll automatically be taken to the San Ilia king. He will direct you to the library located below the palace, which has been taken over by monsters.
-make your way through the library, beat the boss, and you'll now be able to go after the four spirits
-OPTIONAL: Speak with the San Ilia King after completing the library and he will start the sidequest in Luddite Village (the village to the east of San Ilia, west of Port Natalia, that I told you to ignore).
-head west from San Ilia and once you cross the bridge start heading north to get to the Forest of Spirits. Defeat Sylph and some scenes will play out.
-afterwards make your way to Sabasa by continuing west across the desert.
-from Sabasa head north across one set of bridges, and then west across a second set of bridges
-make your way west a little more until you see a sign (you'll probably have to head slightly southwest to see it) head directly north from the sign to reach the Safaru Ruins, where you'll find Gnome.
-after acquiring gnome head north from the ruins through the break in the mountains, and then head east
-continue your trek eastward across a couple of bridges until you reach a large poison lake with a Tartarus in the middle
-with Gnome in tow you can access the final Tartarus for this chapter
-make your way through the Tartarus, beat the boss, and enjoy the end credits
You can still explore and complete any sidequests you may have missed after the credits finish rolling.

Special Recruitment Requirements: These are some of the monsters that require some kind of special item or condition before they'll join you. This won't include anyone you can acquire at the end of a sidequest through simple combat or progression. I'm pretty sure this list isn't complete.
Chrome and Frederika - Enter the cave to the southwest of Monte Carlo. Make sure you have a party member with the ability to open blue chests or higher. Make your way to the very bottom level where you'll find three chests. In the blue chest is the item Chrome is looking for. Bring it to her and she, along with Frederika, will join up with you.
Lizard Bandit Boss - Recruit Lizard Bandit A and B and speak with her.
Page 65537 - Win the BattleFuck in the northwestern house in San Ilias to acquire the book she's looking for. Take it to her to recruit her.
Eva - In Monte Carlo (located across the bridge to the west of San Ilia) speak to the hooded individual standing in front of the tent in the southeast side of town. He's selling information, which you should buy. Now head to Illias Village and speak with Lazarus. You'll receive a note which you can show to the guard back in Monte Carlo who's blocking the door to the building in the northeast side of town. Inside the building on the first floor speak to the man at the table wearing the green cloak. He should be the proper trigger. Once you finish talking to him check the small alley next to the inn and you should see Eva about to assault a boy. Approach and watch the scene play out. Visit the house that was pointed out to you, speak to the occupant, then make your way to Carlos Hill located immediately southeast of Monte Carlo. Find and fight Eva to recruit her.
Unfortunate Mermaid - located on the southwest coast of Ilias Continent. You'll have to make your way southwards through the Forest of Hesitation to get there. Make sure you have Amira in your party when you speak to her.
Unfortunate Harpy - located in the mining village, wandering slightly below the casino tent. Once again have Amira in your party when you speak to her. (You might have to complete the Harpy sidequest for her to join)
You cannot recruit Sphinx and Queen Harpy in this chapter.

TIPS:
-some people have been running into a bug that corrupts their saves, or stops them from saving entirely. I haven't run into this and I don't think people have managed to pin down the exact cause yet. In any case it's not a bad idea to create a backup folder for your saves every once in a while so you don't lose hours of work.
-a friendship level of 100 doesn't mean enemies will automatically join you. It'll raise your chances but depending on the enemy the recruitment rates can still be incredibly low. Once they're at 100 friendship level just concentrate on defeating them over and over again until they join up.
-Amira has a number of speech skills, both active and passive, that will allow you to raise enemy friendship levels. I suggest keeping her around if you're going after new recruits. You can also acquire an accessory that raises your recruitment rates in the small casino located in the Mining Village, southeast of Illias Village. Said accessory costs 2500 betting chips.
-raising companion affection can be done in one of two ways. The first and fastest way is to give them gifts that they like while they're on standby in the pocket castle. The second, slower process, is to place them in your active roster and battle with them
-try and keep at least one thief class companion in your party at all times to open up locked chests. And make doubly sure the skill is actually equipped.
-when in the member select screen in the pocket castle press the "D" key when your cursor is on someone you want to warp to. It's a fast way to see where your newest recruit is located without having to poke around the entire castle looking for them.
I cannot thank you enough for writing this; I've been stuck and lost for a while until I came across the above post. To be of assistance for the ones who have not completed the game yet, I have created a video walkthrough using your written walkthrough, so that the people that prefer seeing rather than reading can also follow. I'm not sure if I am permitted to link or anything, but it is on YouTube.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Hello guys, hope you are all having fun with Paradox, I for once, love it quite a lot (aside from the heavy grinding, but it's still good ^^)
Now for my question.
I want to patch my game to the version 1.2. I have downloaded the patch Torotoro has up on their site and all that I can find inside is an RB. file called "patch" along with 2 readme files in Japanese.
Now I've searched the game directory and there is no place where I can just "replace" any file with the aformentioned downloaded one in order to have the desired 1.2 Version.
A quick guide would be appreciated as to exactly where I should drop the file and if I have to rename it so that it replaces something else.
Also, is there any "visual indication" that actually shows you that you've successfully patched your game to the 1.2 version? Thanks!

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Odd, Chrome only has a short scene when requesting at the maou's tiny castle, but there's a lot more images in the directory when you extract the game files.

Are you supposed to do something to get additional scenes with her, like you do with Brunhilde?
The machine translation tells me that if I get some sort of swimsuit, there will be a change in scenes with Brunhilde? Where do I get that swimsuit?

after playing the for a few hours i'm enjoying the recruitment aspect. it'd be awesome if someone made a name mod for the original series using the names they have when they join your party.(if its static)

i know. but it'd be better having it say something like. ''Lime'' appeared instead of ''Slime girl'' appeared.
and enemys like Imp and crabgirl i think a few other come back with the same generic name even though they are the same one you got into a fight with.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Finally cleared the game and i got a few question:
1: Is there a way to go to last map, to recruit the girl you missed after clear?
2: Are there any easier way to recruit girl chance? so far i already put 1 person with trait recruitment 1.5 and item increase to 1.5... Maybe there is a better trait for 2x if yes what class? or if these thing is stackable ?
3: Is there anyway to get alot of cooked affection item other than those ingredient type ? for alot affection....
4: there still locked tower south of monte something, did i miss sidequest or it still not out ?
5: just like swimsuit (no idea for which girl though i can't remember by name) is there any special item for different scene other than 100 affection / GoR

1. go east of the last wormhole and you will find the tower moved to your world
2. other than the passive multiplier, 話術師lv6 have a skill that make the current battle x3 chance of getting the monsters
3. try the cooking class then
4. you mean the doll tower? that's the base of black alice's minion, you ain't suppose to access there yet
5. not sure

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Progress:
recruited Eva, Saki & Nanabi
Luka still level 15

I found poison works really well on Eva and Saki after I recruited them I equipped the no random encounter bracelet and visited the rest of the towns on the Continent then I made my way back to the port town leveling my two new succubi team members to about level 25 on the way. fought Nanabi, Luka held his ground surprisingly well given the that she could one shot him. I had Illias use he full party res though Luka was the only member down at the time with the power up from the berserk status he dealt a surprising amount of damage(it was almost like watching him curb stomp Lily in the original) Eva held up a constant sexual assault on Nanabi through out the battle, Saki the same when not singing or dancing and Illias was occasionally swapped out for other members. In the end I barely managed to pull out a win damn she had a lot of hp.

while most need 2000 to get all there Items Nanabi needs 6000...

now on the mithril quest

Dangerous swimsuit can be bought in Mermaid town, north of Port Natalia.

I kinda already hit lvl cap around the time we hit pyramid ;)
Not sure about others, but trying to recruit the girl take alot of kill.
Well running away until find the girl havent recruited is an option, but if they all died in 1 turn AoE might as well just kill everything for job exp :D

luka / sonia / alice have it easy with 1.5x exp anyway (the 1 take 2x dmg from pleasure hit) / (alice no idea from her race or noble job she got trait 1.5x exp)

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

It just occurred to me that there's a high chance that we will be getting an army vs army system in the next two parts. Including the situation where the four countries are at war (actually 3 vs 1, but will leave the details to TLs) and with the disappearance of Alice the 16th, Alice the 15th (yes she's alive and well in this one) took up command of the army and mobs not happy with this joined up with Black Alice (who escaped confinement because you know why). Alice the 17th (Nerisu) is alone running around and causing havoc while at the same time solving problems similar to what Luka did in the first series so no army there... But Illias mentioned that once Luka builds up an army inside the pocket monster lord castle they will need to go out and suppress the monster armys and break up the human war....

If this will require me to train each and every monster girl then I'm throwing this fucking game out the window :p.
