so i mentioned that i planning to share old treasures from my collections
(which have no more working links around)

and i think i just found another nice one
it's a old but nice h action rpg (good old times)
it even has a wiki site:

It is a world very different from ours, a world in which magic exists, a world where peasants labor under the burden of heavy taxes imposed upon them by the unfair rulers of the land. Although the commoners have a difficult lot, there are those among them with the strength to use his sword and make a name for himself -- an adventurer. To be an adventurer is the dream of every peasant.

The story details the journey of a young man who was raised in the countryside of Souvania, on the continent of Valencia. Disowned by his own father and forced to make his way in life, he chooses to become a Hunter, a mercenary who accepts jobs for a variety of adventures. Heading into town to officially join the Hunter’s Guild with his dragon Shell at his side, he happens across a mysterious girl who looks strikingly like the Moon Goddess.

The Moon Goddess... Ever since he was young, a beautiful girl appears before him on nights of a full moon. Because of the mysterious manner of her appearance, he gave her her unique name. With the mysterious girl Alicia and dragon Shell at his side, as well as new characters he will join with later, our hero embarks on many bold adventures. But will he ever be able to solve the bizarre mystery of the beautiful Moon Goddess standing in the lake...?

Just a quick look on nyaa and you can find torrent ^_^

Regardless I'm sure quite at least few people didn't even hear about the game so it's should be a good surprise for them.

Still have my hard copy tucked away somewhere. Definitely one of the classic, good H-games.

For anyone curious: It's like your Visual Novel/Dating game crossed with a "Diablo-like" action-RPG. I don't think the latter part is good though, as the loot is limited and the interface is pretty clunky (snap-grid based movement didn't felt right -- sure the original Diablo used this as well, but it just felt more "clunky" here). But it is still a fun game to level up your character through, and has some nice new-game+ mechanics to implement while you restart and look for the other erotic CGs.

Can confirm that so far as I remember, anonymous' negrep is mostly from being... less than diplomatic and not always understanding of other people's opinions and positions.
Not saying I'm totally confident those links can't be wonky, but at least this isn't someone who only dumps strange content and runs off again.

is where you can legally buy the english version from a fairly reputable online source.

Beware that this game is somewhat old, so controls may feel slightly clunky compared to modern top-down RPGs, though AFAIR it held up fairly well overall.

So I'm trying to play Brave Soul, and when I load it up (changing none of the default settings though I did change the name), the loading text leaves a trail across it and once I can try to get into the game, only the text loads. None of the images themselves load. Anyone have any idea whY? I'm running it on Japanese Applocale too.

that's weird game works fine for me,
maybe something messed up try to re download and unzip,
or try running it without applocale (or just jap system settings)
maybe your pc is too new (its a old game) try running it with xp compatible mode
also use the brave_s.exe

Well putting it into xp-compatibility now shows up the opening animations scene, but it just loops between that and the wall of text about the world now. No way to continue on past it.


Edit: I just realized. Your mega download is only 325 MB, while say, the Nyaatorrents one is over 600 split into two rars. Is there maybe something missing in the one you linked?.

Hm, looking up my old jastusa order, there's a 446.34MB .zip "Version 1.0 of the Internet Download Edition" and a 6.30MB .pdf manual (very useful).
So arguably, assuming the .rar compresses way better, or they recompressed images/audio with more modern encodings, 350MB is viable,
while the >600MB version is probably just a raw cd-rom rip with some blow-up dummy files included.

And before someone asks: No, I can't upload my version somewhere, sorry

don't know i'm not a programming expert,
and i youst packed the game folder and upload it
maybe i missed a file that was installed somewhere else
(but i doubt it because its a old game)

or something wrong with the opening try to start a new game with the include system save file and skip the opening scene,
(also use game start in main menu)
or delete the save files and start new game i dunno

does anyone else has the problem or cannot start the game?

about the different size from thad torrent dunno,
but i can assure you i have the complete english translated uncensored version
