If players aren't interacting with each other constantly in his H world, then no, it don't fly.

For me, story is an absolute necessity for enjoyment of hentai. Too many times I have found a game or do u in that looks absolutely amazing, but I miss out on so much because it's in moonrunes. There's the occasional game or video that does an amazing job storytelling without using language, but those are few and far between.

What I would love to see is a mission-based game where you play the monster, perhaps a metro Vania style or similar. Explore around, grow in power, fighting and capturing women (and men, but I find men as the victims to be poorly done, in most cases).

You would have some sort of home base that contains your captures. It would work as a gallery of sorts, allow you to replay all the h-content you've unlocked, and maybe try new moves on older enemies, to see the different animations if you had already captured certain victims before leaning moves they had animations for.

Something like that would be a huge undertaking if it was to be done well, but oh man, it would draw practically everyone I chat hentai with to it, I think it would be well worth the time and effort.

I prefer games where the main character is a man.

As for my preferences in the style of the game, I prefer games where the protagonist fights and defeats his enemies.

I like to dominate the victims, causing them pain and suffering, rape them, and ultimately kill,and even after the murder, I like to play with their corpses and use them as I would wish, such as sex toys.

Yes, these games I like.

It is a pity that the game which contains a bit like that, and if there is a ability to make some of these features.

I've had the idea for ages, basically as a game conversion of the tentacle CYOA stories here on the forum. I think tons of pervs would jump on the chance to play that.

Missions would be capturing women for the hive out in the maze of a map. Depending on tentacle type and upgrades gotten, you could play stealthy, or bruisy, or tricksy, whatever. Hive would be your gallery/home base/shops, upgrades and stuff, breed some more tentacles. Could even do defense style missions where people figure out where all the women are going, if you cause a stir, or don't lose any tails on the way home, or leave someone awake to follow you.

I tend to prefer female protagonists, seeing as in most of the games I play, male protagonists tend to come off nearly hollow shells for players to self-insert into. There's no characterization or development. Where-as even with simple corruption games, the female protagonist will generally have more progression and what-not.

Mind you, I also hate female protags a la OneOne1 games, where they're just turboslut through-and-through from start of the game to finish

I can agree with that.

Regarding the male protagonists as mentioned there, that's perhaps more an issue simply of how they're done in games in general, than the concept itself, but plenty valid.

I also can't stand most instances of "Turboslut", if I'm interpreting that phrase correctly. Have never much liked characters that seem like they exist purely to be slutty or seemingly act in a illogically fetishistic way, sometimes to the point of nearly breaking the 4th wall. This can also sometimes involve just visual design whilst the characters personality remains relatively grounded, yet bizarrely considers fighting rapist monsters in a string bikini normal and a non issue.

This isn't to be confused with a character that's merely highly sexual or promiscuous though, within reasonable bounds for the setting or situation. Different thing.

Regarding playable monsters in a game, I've always liked the concept, but simply not seen many good examples. One possible reason can simply be put down to content variety. If you're playing a female protagonist in a typical H game, and there's 12 monsters, you arguably get 12 significantly different portions of h-content. If you're playing 1 monster, and there are 12 female (or whatever) targets, then you get 12 very similar encounters with more minor variation.

That's of course not to say there aren't variations on how it could be done or good ways round that design issue. I just think it's less obvious for many budding (or unimaginative) developers. Some of the potential solutions might also involve slightly more work or technical skills to pull off.

Seems like a reskin of a Hitman game is in order.

A player who donates to a game on Patreon doesn't expect to start donating once the game is finished (generally) - they're donating because they want production on the game to continue. They care more about who is making the game and how it is coming along than about having a complete world/story that they can take offline, and then unsubscribe from Patreon. They aren't "paying for a game", they're "paying for further development".
And this is precisely why putting finite projects like games into patreon is a horrible, horrible idea. The dev is getting paid for further development, therefore there's no incentive to ever complete the project.

I get paid by the hour, so of course I stretch my hours. Yeah, we all know how it works, it's a balancing act to give JUST enough effort so you don't lose donations, and just lazy enough so that the effort you're giving still brings in more donations. It's a very familiar and fucked up model and NO CONSUMER ENJOYS IT. They may tolerate it, but in NO WAY is it PREFERRED to have production dragged out to it's longest possible length.

I mean seriously, are you imagining someone at home right now thinking, "I'm not donating so I can see results of my donations, I'm donating cuz I like to donate, so hopefully, I can donate forever!"

Hmm. Now picturing it, potential cheesy title, "Dawn of the Dick Girls". A mysterious occurrence has caused half the neighbourhood to turn in futas, with a single minded craving to use their new equipment. Watch out, they're contagious and very friendly.

Part A) Valiantly attempt to escape the town whilst along the way bravely trying to rescue trapped "survivors" and victims who are under attack (or just pass by whilst foes are distracted). Fight off your horny former friends, or wind up joining their ranks. Find a way out of town.

Part B) If you can't beat them (off?) join them. Seek out and hunt down the remaining pockets of resistance and key towns people, and show them how much more fun it is on the other side.

One significant design issue/challenge there of course, if allowing the two forms of play (hunted or hunter), would be how it'd virtually double up your animation work load, unless approached correctly. Would need numerous animations of the heroine grappling and being on the receiving end, as well as a similar amount of her as the antagonist. Most of the game mechanics and combat would probably be easy enough to transfer.

If the game was in 3D most of that animation problem would be bypassed, but well made 3D games are a unique challenge in themselves for small time indie devs. Another alternative might be a somewhat "modular" animation style, such as used in the Dragon Bride flash game, where victims would have randomised features such as hair, face, skin colour, breast size etc. This might still mean a lot of extra work adding multiple hair/feature variants to every single animation, but it would also mean you could swap the protagonist between victim and antagonist freely, and have every single animation available during both sides of the gameplay. Might likely also require all general body types being the same and matching the protagonist character too though. So there's always drawbacks or compromises in these things.

Then too, still depends entirely on the actual layout, graphical and gameplay style.

Well, I just bought my first game in about 4 years. Homeworld Remastered Collection was something I could not pass up. The first Homeworld is fucking awesome. I guess Homeworld 2 is in that collection too, but I will probably never play it.

Why is that game fucking awesome you ask? The story and how it is told is flat out fantastic. The music is close to making my top 10 best ever list.

This is the problem with alot of what I see anymore. There is no compelling story. There is no decent music. There is no decent atmosphere surrounding the game. Its all, here is some pixel shit sprite sex. I guess its a h-game now right?

Never mind that I care little to nothing for some 32x32 pixel I can barely see engaging in sex acts for a minute, but how could that be the deciding factor toward buying/supporting someone?

I could understand a game where the main character was someone I would want to fuck, were I able to magically insert myself into the game world. Thats all fine and good, but there needs to be something more.

I'm totally with you on needing good writing in order for a game to be satisfying.

Music in games is something I grew increasingly disappointed with as I got older. I think it's fair to say that the SNES-era Final Fantasy games (4/5/6/7) spoiled me. I've been looking through a lot of royalty-free music resources to see if I can just find four themes that I'd be satisfied with for my game-in-planning, but I've only found one so far that I feel is even decent.

An option which doesn't get explored enough in my opinion is the accepted rape, which is neither victory or defeated rape. Basically, you, as the heroine, are accepting being raped in order to gain an advantage or to bypass a disadvantage. This would also open up the option of the herione liking/learning to like being raped, which I adore.

I'm also a fan of the idea of a female character progressing from disliking to enjoying forced sex over the course of a game or level, and "accepted rape" options in general.
