Grabbing her gear, Lilia finds a single repair manual, though it's related to the engines, and not the power systems. Once she exits the shuttle, she can hear birds taking wing from within the forest, near the same border her shuttle rests at.

A few moments later, a loud roar is heard as a black bipedal creature leaps out from the treeline, landing on top of the shuttle and hissing. The creature stands at nearly nine feet in height, is covered in black chitin, has a set of digitigrade legs it stands on, and its fingers are tipped with sharpened talons, as are its feet, which begin to dig into the shuttle as it takes up a threatening posture. Its face is lacking eyes or anything short of its hissing maw, which is slowly dripping some green fluid of sorts, and its head extends back a good foot or so in a curved crest.
