Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

after so many defeats. I finaly defeat Hushter
I had the control of the game until he used Flora and starting destroying my barrier of characters (Espasse was there T_T)
made him use EX spells and 2 occult obliteration and he put anteret
I used later to regain control Shallif. and the next turn cost Shackles and Anteret.
he in response used shallif too.
I managed to get back total control with Sylvie and a book. he then just put 2 Katia in defense mode and next turn a natalie to kill but I managed to put my only "dodge" card of my deck to survive. after that he surrender (around 8 cards in mine ans his deck)

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Sometimes I REALLY hate this Yugioh Believe In The Heart Of Cards Bullshit that some people seem to have going. I drew the 5th total bullshit hand in a row, and the few plays I did manage to pull off were countered so fast I could've sworn the game was messing with me for shits and giggles. Anyway, done for today I think.

Just won a 15 turn game against someone with 100 RP higher than me. Both of us sub 1000 life, he left my facedown rosemary witch and I burned him to win. Feels good.

Seriously. What the hell. Is my build this terrible, or is this mostly my "luck" at work? During most of my recent matches my mana curve looked like a piece of abstract art. Any advice, anyone?

Drop the normal Sakura, If those are two normal pirate mary(I can't tell) drop them also. Drop 2 or 3 prepare for battle or dodges. Also consider dropping a normal invitation, since by the time you can summon them, most people will occult it or be already to have 2k+s out.

Increase the amount of 4-5-6 cost cards if you can, most games are determined by who gets the early advantage first unless a Shalif is involved.

Maxed 4 5 and 6 cards usually determine the flow of the early game, so choose either offensive ones or defensive ones depending on if you want the game to be drawn out or short. Pretty sure there's some 6 cost cards that can break even defensively with a Natalie to prevent you from being outnumbered early on also.

Marsha's okay, but you might wanna reconsider her since her skill is useless unless you use her like a trap. Better to have the other 5 cost cards, like the light N card Sara who maxes at 1300 atk and gets +200 vs dark passively. There's probably even better 5 cost cards at higher rarities but I don't own them so can't help you there.

4 cost would be Poet Fiore for normal, caps at 1k with +200 vs water. There's 2 HR cards for fire and water that have a +500 atk buff, which can beat 5 cost and non maxed 6 cost cards if you get the right element.

6 cost would be Okita or Rebecca. Okita's the R water card, extremely good defensively and offensively with +300 on her skill. Rebecca is just an N with +200 to wood.

Overall, it might be smart to consider leveling defensive low cost cards instead of offensive low cost ones though. People have a tendency to face check with their cards and most offensive cards beat offensive defenders since they lack defense.

I feel that you are lacking in 5 / 6 / 7 mana drops, and have too many traps / low cards. If you have the cards, I would recommending adding some 6 drops and removing a few emily / prepare for battle / other traps. Besides that, it looks good to me.

Drop the normal Sakura, If those are two normal pirate mary(I can't tell) drop them also.

The first Sakura and both Marys' are tier 2.

In response to 12ton's question, I'd agree with the other opinions. Personally, I'd drop a normal invitation--might consider dropping both depending on replacement--since you're late game heavy and dodge accomplishes a similar goal at a lower cost.

Has that charmer ever been useful to you? If you go second you might manage to get 1600 or so damage before they can stop you--assuming they don't have a 4 drop--but if you're first it's rather bad and if you don't get it turn one it's basically just mana for the rest of the game. I'd remove it.

I like Marsha as a card, but it's most useful for early game decks. The ability to sacrifice it or bait a trap against a Sylvie, Anteret, buffed framboise, etc and then drop them with some other low cost card is where she excels. I'd probably remove them or limit it to one since you have 2 decree anyway and you seem to be raw power heavy. Ideally you want to be close behind or fighting evenly with your opponent till you can simply overwhelm them late game. I'm sure there are plenty of other players like me who simply don't have the cards/levels to beat a swarm of end game cards unless given the chance to set up.

Just that would change little about your overall deck strategy and open up space for 4-5 more cards, preferably 6-7 drop creatures. I'm quite fond of Asuka and Okita for 6 drops that are easy to get. Asuka's 4 cost -500 defense skill can be incredibly useful when you're on the offensive and even baiting out decrees pre-ant/sylvie can be useful as well. Okita is definitely safer though, especially since it's fairly rare to see her 6 drop counter in a match. By fairly rare I mean the last time I saw that card was more than 50 matches ago.

Any other changes I'd make would depend on the pool of cards available.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

I have ~15 or so spells/traps in my deck. Any more than that and you'll probably start seeing shittier starting hands or longer periods where you can't summon anything. Going off of that, I agree with the others and say you should remove a few Prepare/Dodge, at the very least.

A sizable portion of my deck is 9-cost and above. I probably need to switch out a few and focus on leveling on my 5-6 cost cards. And max out all of my Yuzukis, because it's fucking Yuzuki.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Yeah, I'll probably swap out some traps for 5 6 7ers. the 4 cost cards are a little too dependant on guesswork with their element specific skills for my taste. I try to avoid cheap light elemental cards to maximize Keyakis effectiveness. I swapped the underleveled Sakura (been meaning to do that for a while) for a fairly highleveled Katja. Rare card wise I was "blessed" with only high cost cards so far, unfortunately. (I've got 2-3 Anterets and Fatimas gathering dust. been meaning to replace anastasia with fatima) Looks like im in for a metric crapton of grinding and leveling TT

Bleh I know the feeling about not getting any good 4-6 cost cards in your hand. I think my deck is rather top heavy, but if I do manage to keep parity at the start, I know I will be able to beat them in the end game. Of course this means anyone that focused in the mid game will beat me easy. Gave up on tourney games for now since my mid game sucks.

Been thinking of making a milling deck (Have 2 Kristas from my gacha ticket rolls). Started with a dark deck and have 3 beckoning darkness cards. Just finding good mid range dark cards is kind of annoying me. I am unsure what to level (I love Natalie, but 8 cost for her attack is not cutting it anymore). Anyone know if Louise is any good? 4 cost, but her attack is kind of lowish.

Did you get the EX cards from last tournament? They're both low cost dark's aren't they? Pretty sure one of them forces discard 3 when it's defeated also.

Assuming it's the card I'm thinking of, the scientist one, I think she was 1050/1100 att/def with no ability. Not exactly amazing.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Every element basically has a garbage (or defense-oriented low-cost card, which is basically still garbage) R.

Light is Sun Flower Penelope.
Dark is Strange Scientist Louise.
Fire is Roshambo Rinrin.
Water is Butler Noelle.
Wood is Artist Celine.

I think for a milling deck you want to go defensive. It puts more dark cards on the board and keeps the game going longer for the natural draw 2 to dwindle the size of the deck. Fatima, Ace, and Yuzuki are good for this.

Re: [Nutaku] Angelic Saga

Well, for my second-ever match this tourney, I went up against Corrosion, who's got +400 RP on me. But for once, I actually had an amazing starting hand, with on-curve turn 3-5 cards and Flora/Miyabi.

I managed to successfully stealth Flora onto the field ASAP and maintain board control throughout.

My opponent did play smart and tried to throw me off by playing two traps instead of one, but for once, I decided to try taking a gamble on and seeing if I could Occult the right one, instead of playing it safe and drawing out a match like I usually do.

Turned out to be the right choice, because my opponent couldn't recover after that.

Well.

This is easily the craziest deck I've seen in Arena. I drew the match out as long as possible just to see what there was.
