how do you regain health in the game? i regan 2 points only by sleeping, and i can't do the quests without them.
plus, where i can found books?

Healing at the temple is probably the worst way. It costs time and money. You can also buy food from the central vendor and healing potions from the priestess (both used from your inventory). Food heals 5 for 10g. Healing potions (40g) seem to be full heals. Lastly, one of the house upgrades heals you extra overnight.

I agree with HerySean. Its very good for an LoP game...perhaps even their best so far. It feels mostly balanced and fair. A careful player could definitely win on their first play (although I didn't). The trick seems to be not letting your health stay low or your "enemies" stat stay high (the head thief talking to people lowers it by 20).

The offline version is bugged for some reason. It's nothing that bad, I think, but you get the talk about masquerade and summer solstice scene always on day 2 and that scene shouldn't show until day 25. On day 2 you should get a scene with the thief where she steals your money and runs away.

Dunno what's wrong but something is. Maybe there are other things but after seeing that I gave up and went playing the game on their site.

On a side note, I'm so bad at the game :/ Always get myself killed because I don't know what actions increase "enemies" stat.

From playing couple of times I know these increase it:
Clicking on Queen +10 or 15
Failing at pickpocket +10
Sometimes even eavesdropping in tavern +10

I noticed that politics doesn't decrease enemies at all. I thought the last option would decrease it but it doesn't. Only thing I notice that does decrease it is when you're doing quests.

I also lost 10 days until I figured out how to obtain lockpick...

This game could you a little help window next to each option so you know potential outcomes of clicking on it.

Did any of you figure out another way for lowering enemies?

Happens to me every time at start of day 2, dunno why. I tried starting the offline version like 10 times and every time that scene pops up on day 2.

I used chrome and saw no such thing. Reply with your browser/player. Change that to chrome and see if that helps.

Oh, how I hate these responses.

IT DOESN'T MATTER! (IN MY CASE)

Same shit bug happens regardless if I open it in flash player or chrome or firefox or opera or any other browser or program!

And yes, maybe it doesn't happen to you, but it maybe happens to others. I only wanted to make other people aware of the problem so they know if that happens to them that it shouldn't happen. And that screenshot is the proof that it happens. And yes, I downloaded the game from your link, not the torrent.

Guess I'll try downloading torrent version, but they're probably the same.

EDIT:

Now that I checked torrents, I can see that EGSC uploaded a new version of the game. Apparently there was a bug with ending that he fixed. I'm gonna try play that version to see if I still have that bug with at start of the game.

Here's the torrent to the newest version that has some bug with endings fixed.

edit2: On this version everything works as far as I noticed. I don't get that bug at start anymore.
