Just got past that part, I inspected one of the cabinet/bookshelves first (inside that buliding with the sleeping demon girl, and picked up an item, bookshelf looked normal. Then talked to the other girl inside the building next to the entrance, then went to northeast corner of inside of building and picked up a teddy bear, brought it back to same girl, talked to her, then went to a row of three beds, inspected the middle one, slept and woke to boss battle.

if u can go to place only 2 magic circle, keep go right untill go this place, only here left, next area magic circle where u come from, then room with 4 magic circle SW one.

And I beat the game. I was expecting to fight the demon lady boss in the end but nope! game ends right after you beat the purple haired succubus.

All in all, I enjoyed it but I think the team should not do an RPGmaker game again.

This could have been the second coming of Monster Girl Quest but they decided to focus on silly narrative instead of visual coupled with the worst grindfest ever.

Team got potential and that potential is better suited for a game like MGQ.

And I still want to see a game like Violated Heroine, where you can get lewd without seeing a GAME OVER screen every sec.

Well, Mindia already has a version 2.0 patch that reduces the grind and lowers the odds of status effects hitting you. They must have realized their mistake really fast once people got their hands on the game. I think they did a decent job on the battle system considering how limiting single character combat can be, but I'm still confused as to why h-game developers keep making battle systems that belong in the early 80's. If they want to stick with a lone protagonist, they can still do a Shin Megami Tensei-style or Pokemon-style system. Naedoko Dungeon Chronicle is a great example of this working well.

Yeah, I remember Succubus Quest and the sequel drove me crazy like this too. It got to the point where if you didn't throw out your summon immediately, you were automatically dead due to stunlock nonsense. If you got ambushed late in the game, you might as well just hit F12. Single party member games should be limited to arpgs these days.

Naedoko effectively still use the older RPG format though. And with the monsters replacing the player classes.

As for why they're using older combat system, probably because that's the one that's freely available (like, really free, no 'but if you're gonna use it for commercial use' license fee) and not many people want to mess around with the system or search for someone who did to get a different combat system (like the rather messy combat in Wrath of King Vasily with Tales-esque type, or the slightly acceptable top-down view of VH similar to Secret of Mana type)

Pokemon is just a variant to the old RPG combat too, it's still turn based, just that instead of Attack/Magic/Defend/Items you only have Magic (4 of them) and Items. (The Super Effective/Ineffective message replace elemental weakness like the old Undead taking damage from Heal)

I think what you're asking for is more balanced/thought out skills options, rather than MASHFINGERTILWIN/INSTANTWINBUTTON/WHYWOULDYOUEVERDEFEND/DRUGSFORMOARWINBUTTONUSAGE type.

On that note though, balancing a game where everyone get 1 slap a turn (with speed only determining who get to slap first) is a lot easier than, say, the open field tabletop like Warhammer style games or any beat-em-up type.

Ya if you're going to make a custom battle system you'd need to be proficient in scripting. Honestly there aren't a lot of free battle system scripts, but there aren't many to begin with. I know some scripters have written dozens of different battle systems (ok, I only know one scripter that has done that) but you really only have the really strong scripters out there doing that kind of thing.

And if you really want something cool you're likely going to get it commissioned, which means $$$ and unless you know you're going to make a lot of money people probably aren't going to do it.

I imagine that can be generalized to any sort of game engine. Writing your own battle system from scratch is like writing a quest engine: lots of shitty ones out there (questing isn't just "hey get me this piece of rock"; "oh thanks I was totally looking for it here's $1000")

As to why people don't use custom battle systems that ARE free...well, I don't know, if everyone started using side-view battle system that gets dull as well right?

Unless they're working in a team you're likely going to be getting lower quality in some aspect, and if the art totally sucks would you really buy it? I mean isn't that why we're looking at H-games in the first place?

Hmmm, seems like there's a bit of a dry spell lately with games. I decided to go back and play Saki Quest from the start.

It's funny, with all the updates he's made the game actually feels MUCH better now if you play it from the start. It's still a little grindy at times (though not horribly so) and granted the older content can get boring but he integrated the new stuff very well so it flows pretty properly.

Just a quick question. Do all RPG games necessarily have a skip key?

So far i have found the keys "Q", "Shift" "Ctrl" and even "A" a skip key. My question is if its possible to set a skip key and did i miss any common skip keys?
