A very hesitant attempt

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

I hadn't had much time to work on it today.

Some outline changes + base coatings.

Aw, you're spoiling us ;)

But it's coming along pretty nicely, thinking of adding some juices by any chance?

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

Not a big update but that's what I've tested for shading/highlights.
As I said I haven't had much time lately and now I must leave for ~2 days or so. If I can I will edit with another tiny update later, not sure though.

Have good time everybody! :)

Coming along nicely. :D

Thanks! :D

That's one shiny ass. :p

Ahahah you made me lol! I'm trying a new brush set I've downloaded recently but it actually looks a bit too shiny! :D

Trying to make it smooth! Again, so much to improve there too...

However, little update but worth uploading. Making some quick shading trying to work on 2 levels (base color + shading) with 1-2 additional levels for highlights.

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

About to finish it soon! :)

I'm nor really happy with the face. Somehow the shading ruined it instead of making it look better.
Well, I guess it's something else I have to work on...

You mean it made her look more mature or...? :)

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

Yep, much better.
I will just sit here and wait until it's done :3

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

Those 2 most recent ones are really nice, the one most are saying had too much make up, just looked like the teeth area could have been whiter to me.
(This one.)

Keep at it bruh!

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

I agree on toning down the teeth. At this point she looks almost a little buck-toothed.

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

Sorry guys for coming and disappearing so suddenly but sometimes my job just drags me down with no warning.
I keep telling myself I should relay on less complex works and try to make more of them. Moreover in this way I'd let less unfinished works around.

Anyway, thanks for the tips! What do you think of this one?
How about the teeth? I don't really get what you meant, should I make em brighter or not?

Re: A very hesitant Attempt...

I think the teeth should be deemphasized a bit, considering the size of lip and the position of the light source, but I am obviously not an artist. They just a bit too prominent to me.

Roger that! I'll try to fix it! :)

Meanwhile I decided to go back to basics and start a series of sketches of every anatomic part of the body. The purpose it's obviously to attempt an improvement of my skills and hopefully to develop a less constrained and smoother style.

I've started with legs and I'll just move here and there from feet to hands, from bellies to necks and so on. I've taken this seriously and I'm looking for a proper growth of my abilities! Otherwise I'd be stuck forever trying to achieve better effects while lacking the basics. I hope you like it! :D

That's really pretty well drawn, at least to me; like the muscle shaping and shadows particularly. Maybe could try sketching a short comic or something, good practice on doing same character with different poses.
