The game is the 1st of the dev, it's a prequel of the 2nd game (and somehow linked too to the 3rd game).

Gameplay
The game use standard RPG VX Ace control.
In addition, the game feature :
- hairstyle customization (no effect in game, but change on the sprite / standing pic and H cg).
- Clothes system : clothes change the sprite, standing pic and offer stats bonus. Some scene require specific clothes.
- Skill learning : your earn skill point by fighting, once you got the amount require to learn a skill, you got the skill for the rest of the game (skill can be learned once you reach certain lv or when you equip specific equipement, including clothes).
- multiples ending
STORY
You play Retina, 3rd princess of the Arclight (アークライト) Kingdom. Since she's far in the succession order, she's been allowed to undertake knight training (under the command or Liatris - A female Knight, in command of one of the best unit of the kingdom). Now that she's a full knight, she's sent on a mission to acquire real fight experience. She's to assist Liatris in subduing some bandit.
Sadly, Retina got separated from the main force during the raid, and found herself alone - and first - in the main base of the bandit.

The first part of the game, will have you find and defeat the boss leader. However, when you succeed, the hooded woman standing next to him step in, and explain that she's here to kill you and proceed to do so using magic...
Just at that moment, an earthquake happen and both of you fall into the ground - the last thing you hear is the bandit chief asking the hooded mage if the earthquake was "his doing", and her cryptic answer - "he shouldn't have awaken yet".
Surviving your fall, you'll fight your way through demon infested cave to collapse just before a town, whose inhabitant will rescue you.

This is where the main game start .
You will learn that the town is officially part of the country and buried in a mountain. Sadly the earthquake blocked the only know exit to the outside world. However, there are vast unmapped cavern outside the town wall. There lie your hope of finding a way to clear the exit - or find a new one.
With no other choice, you venture outside to find a way to return to the castle...
However, many thing trouble you has you head out - the fact that the town elder has know both your name and that you where the 3rd princess; that he seem to know both your parents...
The fact that some undesirable person live unchecked in town, coupled with rumor of missing peoples or person getting through the town into the cavern, never to be seen again...
Why would a small underground town have both an ill attended church AND a brothel ?
And what about the cryptic bandit remark during the earthquake ?
Something is clearly amiss here...
Is Retina up to the task of getting out of there without stain on her princess name ? Should she focus on helping the townpeoples, fufilling her double role as princess and knight, or should she try to escape as unscathed as possible ?
