Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Thanks. she said, removing the collar and setting it aside. Hearing what she did, she laughed. Fairies and Pixies are essentially living imagination. They're all the little wishes and free thoughts legends older then me say. I don't believe but yes, they are very inventive, and Salazar provides the form and power. Together they're like a little factory. she said, unable to stop giggling.

O gods above there was a time that Salazar got it wrong and wound up with a pixie glued to his forehead for a week. it was the most amusing thing because she had no issues with it, she would instead throw glitter in front of him whenever he finished a sentence just to torment him since he's usually so serious.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"That's impressive. I would think anyone else would have hard time being serious with a pixie stuck on their forehead." Christine giggles. "He should do it again, he'd probably be very popular among children."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Leave enough people in a castle long enough and you'll do alot to stave off boredom. I'm excited to get out and about again. Just worried how things will go. From what the currents say, I'm the last of the Undivided. Such a heavy loss... But I suppose It's another problem to be fixed. NOW My fine arctic fox. How are you enjoying your stay so far. I can feel your companion murdering left and right without much thought to consequence. May I ask why?

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Wincing, Christine pauses for a moment before answering. "Very well, if not for the said companion. I just... don't really know how to deal with her. I'd prefer her as a companion, not a slave, but she keeps calling me mistress and last night I slapped her when I caught her abusing Tam again. That must've really pissed her off."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Lillith chuckled at the problem, not to poke fun, but because she'd seen it before it seemed.

So it's territory. Servants abusing eachother is not uncommon. It's like animals, establishing a pecking order. Not all slaves are equal, they sort that out amongst themselves if their masters do not. But you dont want her as a slave like Tam. Tam however seems to Need a Master while Ashlie... Is unsure. Do you want my advice? Or would you like to find another way. lillith asked, tilting her head as she sipped on her coffee.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Smiling faintly, Christine sips water herself before answering. "Advice, please. I have a feeling that however I handled it myself would just bring more problems."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Mmm mistake number 1. Self Confidence is Key in everything. Lillith said, setting her coffee down. You said you wanted her as a companion. Then you need to tell her that. If she's submissive then she wont argue but there are no half measures here. You cannot order her about if she's your companion. If you want her as a servant, then you have to keep her leash as short as Tams, or accept that Tam is under her, and thus Ashlie's subordinate as well as your own. The pecking order is important. But if you don't spell it out you cannot be surprised when things don't go as you want them to. It's why kings and queens give orders in the first place. Our subjects cannot read our minds. she said, smiling at Christine encouragingly.

As for Ashlie and Tam together? that is between them. You cannot mitigate everything yourself. Slaves are taken advantage of unless those around know that their owners are too strong to dare anger. So you will have to put Ashlie in her place, one way or another. Under you as a Slave, or as a companion likely by contest of wit or arms. She is willful, anyone with combat training, especially a slave, is. Such a rigorous regimen as combat training requires advanced discipline. Slaves are never given such unless they are too willful to continue without that structure. she continued, waving her hand to show Ashlie on the table, using that Quarterstaff like an expert and with a ruthless efficiency as she slammed something into the floor and ended it with a downward blow that cracked the stone.

It was not light training it seems. she commented dryly.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Christine watches in awe as Ashlie straight up murders anything in her way, apparently including innocent floor stones. "Put her into her place. Right. That's going to be so easy. I guess I'd better go deal with that, then." Christine replies, slowly standing up. "Where is she right now?"

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Easier then you think perhaps. You could simply outsmart her. Lillith offered, I'm taking your ass tonight for my own, so don't get it all bruised up if you please. She's on the 3rd floor, the way is clear, follow the carnage I suppose. Lillith continued, sighing and reaching out to pat Christine.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Muttering to herself, Christine heads towards the third floor, following the carnage as instructed and brings the teachings of the scroll back to her mind. She might not be able to cast that spell yet, but some other illusion, perhaps...

It takes a while, but eventually she catches up with Ashlie. "Do I really need to remind you that we're guests here? If you have an issue with something I did, you should take it up with me."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Ashlie turns at the words, spinning her staff which was covered in blackened blood violently, throwing that liquid in an arc around the wall, before slamming it end down onto the ground, looking at Christine.

Striking me, over the new girl? Mistress? Christine? Friend? Enemy? Master? What am I to you except some curiosity that dropped out of the world into your lap. Something to abuse? I've had quite enough of that. she said sharply, spinning the staff into the low ready and looking serious but very afraid, and not of Christine, but of being alone.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"What, should I just let you abuse whomever you wish as long as they're in your power?" Christine challenges, not making a move to defend herself. "If you want to be my friend - and I do - then you should start acting like someone worth being a friend of."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

All I did was help the weak willed woman to control her own slave. Worth being a friend? YOU are the one who summoned ME here. And Now i'm not worth it. Keep her then, dead in one world, not wanted in this one. Next time do yourself a favor and Kill whoever you ressurect. You'd be doing them a kindness she spat, the bridge obviously burnt beyond repair now as she turned her back on Christine, and leapt away, clearing the hallway easily and moving for the way out. She wasn't beholden to stay here like Christine or Tam. And she showed it by walking out on all of them to try her luck alone.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Wincing at Ashlie's words, Christine slowly starts out after her. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean... I shouldn't have said that." she calls out loudly after the squirrelgirl.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Slowly wasn't going to work, Ashlie was a powerhouse physically, and it was obvious most of that strength was in her legs, watching her move had shown that clearly when she'd been fighting. Each spin was brunt by her thighs and calves. She found herself having to shift just to keep up as a fox before finally catching her at the door, Ashlie glaring at her, the door open, and still afraid of stepping out, of actually giving up to start over on her own. She'd never been free, not for a long time, she'd never been alone. Punished, Abused, gods only knew what but never alone. How hard did you Beat a slave to get her to wield a weapon like that and Not strike the Master in turn? What torture did you use. Her original body probably held scars that would tell that tale.

But she stood there, torn and nervous and angry looking at Christine. What!? Want to make Certain I leave? Want to watch me fall apart. What is it! she howled, her voice cracking and her eyes tearing up, unable at the moment to take the last step through that door.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Not really knowing what else to do, Christine goes to hug Ashlie. "I really DO want to be your friend."

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Ashlie trembles as Christine approaches and closes her eyes, before she's hugged and just breaks down, sobbing, leaning against Christine and just cutting loose whatever all else she had been holding in. Not quiet tears, but great gulping wails of fear, pain, and need, collapsing and bringing them both to their knees as she hid her face in Christine's shoulder, the staff dropping to the floor.

She had never struck Christine in the few days she'd known her as one to hold things in, but perhaps that was an act. Would you trust someone you just met fully? Or try to make them happy in a new world with new rules. Even if your attempts were misguided.

When she finally calmed down enough to speak it was still in abject terror of the door which was slowly closing. Don't make me go... Please don't leave me here all alone in this place. I don't know where I am or what to do. she sputtered, a complete mess in Christine's arms and someone who it seemed badly needed reassurance and trust, not a lash or a chain. That had already all broken her once. She was back again whole and healthy and unsure what to do.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

"It's okay, I won't leave you." Christine says, continuing to hold Ashlie.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Ashlie takes another 5 minutes or so to calm down, flopping down with her head in Christine's lap, exhausted from the crying, and the fighting, and the running, giant tail fail flopping around uselessly, curling around her beatstick.

Re: Christine ( \oO.Oo/ )

Sitting down, Christine flops a tail over Ashlie and cradles her head on her lap.
