I'm not sure how I feel about it being done by Oneone1. They have a tendency to do that weird prolapse thing where the it looks like a slug is half way being born with what looks like an ovary on the side.

Well, in that same blog post there's a link to 'request fetish', so maybe you can try to request not that thing.

I know doujins have freedom to modify the character and all. But it just doesn't feel like the same character when the breasts triple in volume from the original. Not complaining since pretty much all of OneOne1's other works have the same size. Though I prefer doujins to at least be somewhat close to the original work's character proportions.

1.10 is now anemi scharing other better is
I hope man making translate for 1.10

Aw I was really looking forward to a translation :(
I really loved Liz of the Tower.
Any word from the author if he was planning on officially hiring someone to do the translation?

Wait, what? I thought this game was never going to be translated due to the discussion last page. So if I'm seeing this right, Clymenia is now doing official english translation themselves? And they're going to start selling their games on Steam?

These are machine translations from their twitter:

"It is not possible to expand the overseas version of Steam is more erotic regulations."

"We also consider Patreon because we have commented. If you help me, it will be easier to put out the English and Chinese versions."

That doesn't sound good :/

If worst comes to worst they can still sell the translation on eng dlsite. Still I really hope they can sell the game on Steam one way or another, even if all the events are removed. Steam is huge and I like regional pricing.

That might be just him jumping the gun a bit. From what I've read, the only thing Valve has done so far is send out some threatening emails that they immediately retracted. But that's just from googling huniepop steam.

Yeah I never imagined steam would begin selling hentai games, they've always been known as the platform for actual games. I don't know how authors like oneone1 and others have been able to put their game up, but all I know is that this really is degrading for steam's reputation.

Did they have hentai content in the Steam version? As far as I'm aware, all the "hgames" on Steam removed any actual hentai, though with easily found 18+ patches. While the art is still very suggestive, there are many mainstream Japanese games with revealing clothes for women.

Hentai games and "actual games" are not mutually exclusive. I've personally found some games like Sengoku Rance and Bullet Requiem to be pretty solid games ignoring the h-content. It seems odd that hentai games are targeted just because of their original intended purpose. The Witcher series straight up has sex scenes and there seems to be no problems with that.

Maybe some have little content outside h-scenes but there are games on Steam notorious for being terrible, so why is a bad game with a bit of suggestive art that much worse?

Pretty much. Valve has already raped Steam's reputation with their utter lack of QC, letting barely playable shovelware and terribly executed "early access" projects onto their platform. H-games can't do anything to their reputation that they haven't already done themselves.

翻訳されたデータの組み込みに一ヶ月ほどかけたので、それに見合うだけ売れないと
やる価値がないってことになってしまいます。
今の所の動向だと……うーん……。
英語版の違法アップロードももう出回ってるようですしねー……。

まだ判断するのは早計ですが、10$ってそんなに高いですか?

Whoops.

RIP. Also, not gonna lie I just dl'ed it *cue whistles*. I will buy it once I get paid next though, since Clymenia has consistently produced quality games and I would love to see more English translations from them.

Eh, that's also what I found out about the english speaking community. We're our worst ennemy. We talk about helping the industry, having bigger hentai anime and games, but when the time comes to even put 10 bucks people can't help but keep pirating. Then we hang our heads complaining "But whyyyy does the japanese not catter to us ?", mmmmh I wonder. Maybe it's because we're irresponsible and can't even support super niche cheap games ?
Im ok with pirating non translated games since you don't get the full value of the game to begin with and the game is most likely not intended to be played by you, but surely you can encourage translations effort by paying for the product. Especially since H-game translation is still in it's infancy stages.

Now it wouldn't have been the same if the game was on steam, simply due to the sheer level of exposure, so putting everything on piratry isn't good either (especially since we all pirate). But like Clymenia said, he can't put it on Steam right now.
But come on, 10$ ? Really ? Is that too expensive ? You know that there is a demo to try to game right ? You don't need to pirate it at any point.
We never advertise DLsite English and push people to buy shit over there, thus it remains a niche platform even though it's a treasure trove of H anime and porn games. Sure DLsite eng could do more to advertise themselves, but we also need to take responsibility for it, because right now if Steam really strenghten it's rules on lewd games we'll suddenly be back to the time before ONEONE1 games and Meltys Quest, with no professional translation effort and no way for devs to expand out of Japan.
More japanese games can only get translated if people can get money from it, if they can't what's the point ?

Speak with your wallet.

The problem isn't just with the US. All cultures will do this. I don't care what patreon group or private community forums will do, people especially in US will always pirate. Only japanese at the bare minimum have some sort of self obligation to actually support from their own actions. Even if it gets translated to German, French, Indian, or whatever in the future, they will always be pirated, especially in third world countries. There are too many factors that allow us to pirate these games, and frankly, devs have no incentive to translate their own games when you look at the numbers. 9000 JP sales versus 250 ENG sales. I was surprised that clymenia took it upon themselves to try a translation and clearly from his response, he is disappointed. It looks like he's not going to do anymore translations if those numbers are all he gets. To the few of us reading his stuff and actually supporting him, the sad truth is that we will probably never see support for authors like him in our lifetime. The only tepid solution I can offer is he releases both JP and ENG at the same time to try and accumulate as many numbers at possible. If he releases the JP game first and then ENG, the US people who played JP won't bother to buy the ENG Version since we already played it with machine translation. But even I know this is kind of a stretch.

While I understand the author's disappointment, was a large number of sales really expected? The English H game community is pretty small as it is and erotica is constantly faced with controversy in Western countries (just look at how many anime games get censored). Piracy definitely plays a part though. The other reason could be that 1) English DLsite remains relatively unknown 2) The translation is lackluster, Now I haven't actually played the game yet, but I heard that there are parts that remain untranslated.

I'm all for supporting English translations. However, the quality should at least be better than machine translations. So to anyone who HAS played the English version, how is the actual translation? I will definitely purchase it if the quality is there.
