Mave Vossen, the undead witch who brings her magical talent to your party, is just as charming as she is mysterious. Despite her apparent lack of memories, she's drawn to your shop by a feeling of familiarity and places a great deal of trust in you. What could adventuring with this zombie reveal about her? Is her history better left in the past...?
Mave has turned out to be one of the most popular designs on the roster and she's attracted many people to the game as its poster girl. (and she already has fanart!) Unlike Alna, she hasn't undergone many big changes, instead getting some makeovers in early development and an expressions update readers may remember.
Even as a zombie, she's very warm and nurturing, so it was vital for her to have absolutely peak mommy vibes. And yes, the hat has always been essential to her design because big hat = big power. =w=
Anyone who's looked in Mana Quest's direction has surely seen two big reasons to check out the game thanks to Mave, but I hope you'll enjoy this lovely sorceress' personality when you meet her in-game as well!

Hello, readers! Today I'll be sharing the latest public patreon update about the state of development here!
Work Hey everyone, sorry for the delay! Been busy testing some new people to work with and post-closure bureaucracy. I’m also taking a bit more time to pack the next build with a bunch of new systems all at once.
In the last build, I mentioned the inventory system got a glow-up with new tooltip designs, item quality tiers, a character selector, etc. I’ve been building on that, tweaking mechanics for inventory and world-hopping exploration. Right now, I’m reworking all in-map usable items (like farming tools, pickaxe, fishing pole, etc.) to fit the new inventory setup. You’ll see a clear “usable” item indicator in the tooltip, plus a border when it’s equipped.
These past few weeks, I’ve been testing out different coders to help speed things up and take some systems off my plate as I literally cannot wait until I get to the stage where I can just focus on new content instead of doing mechanics n stuff...
After trying out a bunch of folks, I found a coder who’s a great fit for the project.
Thanks to this, we’ve knocked out some cool stuff, like:
Parallax elements now fade in and out smoothly over time, making day/night transitions look way more natural (no more abrupt day/night switches):
A working gallery window to replay scenes is in the works. Here’s a placeholder design for it:
Next up, my new coder and I are tackling the character creation system. Check out this awesome sketch I whipped up:

Get the gallery window fully functional.,
Update all maps with the new day/night transitions.,
Finish setting up all the remaining usable tools with the new inventory setup.,
Wrap up Kalala’s and Bonfi’s routines.,
Finish smaller routines for Euna, Liza, Velvet, Blix, and Y’reath.,
Flesh out crowd NPCs for the current maps to bring them to life.
I keep getting sidetracked by other stuff and mechanics, so I’m really hoping to finish the main party’s routines before the next build.
No ETA on the drop yet since I want to nail all of these things, hope that’s cool with you all!
