Please note the expansion is called ナコの魔法と純欲の怪人 ～即ヌキの欠片～ / Naco's Magic and Pure Greed and can also be played as a standalone game. Same game, more H scenes.
You are a school student who is also a magical girl who fights monsters and purifies corrupted people who are controlling them through combat. You gain help through the church and your school friend who also becomes a magical girl and is playable during battle. Combat is real time and not traditional turn based RPG combat. Think RPG "I touched an enemy and teleport to a battlefield", but the battle field is a side scrolling beat em up with only one lane. Defeat the enemy and your back to the RPG map you were exploring. In combat you have your basic melee, magic skills that use MP, items and guard available at your disposal. Skills are used by equipping them before battle and pressing the corresponding button to activate the move while new skills are acquired through leveling up. The equip system is not weapon/clothes but power-ups that either increase a state or decrease it for easy loses in battle. Constantly running to the edge of the screen will fill an escape bar if you wish to run instead of fight. Losing is game over unless specified in the top left section of battle that an H scene will occur; in which you can still continue the game if you lose.
H scenes occur by being defeated by specific bosses, which also unlocks various H scenes around town that can be selected as you progress in the story. Note some H loses have a bad end attached to them as well. Their are multiple endings based on whether you lose certain fights or your selective progression with the nun as you can influence her with gifts collected through missions. Possible virgin route if you never lose. There is a toggle for bokobelly(cuminflation) in the options menu forweirdos people that don't care for it. Game can be completely controlled with a mouse for very talented multitask individuals.
